[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118876] New: SUMIF using cell above criteria match. Excel works.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118876 Bug ID: 118876 Summary: SUMIF using cell above criteria match. Excel works. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gesb...@yahoo.com Description: The sheet is from the author's solution to problem 9 in Chapter 21 of the book "Microsoft Excel 2016 Data Analysis and Business Modeling". I get the right anwser in Excel, but the wrong result when using Calc. There is a problem with SUMIF. It is summing the cell above the the proper match in each case. See explanation below and attached sheet with the behavior. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set Product value of C21 to "plane" 2.Set Month value of D21 to "Jan" 3. cell E21 should show result of adding C9+C13, which is 160. Excel gives right answer. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118601] word in Greek with all letters capitalized is correct with or without accent (diacritical marks)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118601 --- Comment #7 from Ηλίας Ηλιάδης --- I think a small script that will remove the diacritics from dictionary words before comparing them with the capitalized version can do the trick. For removing of diacritics (accent) there is a working LUA table in https://el.wiktionary.org/wiki/Module:Kleida-el used for correct dictionary sorting. These "maps" can easily be extracted and converted to upper case for the final "check". The idea is that all words in dictionary be capitalized and then apply to them a "remove accent" script. The "full" capitalized word in LibreOffice can then be checked against these "transformed" words. Although in the dictionary sorting the case is irrelevant, for correct "orthographic checking" is better to use a "to upper" approach, since final "ς" will be correctly handled in the capitalized version. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I consider the > omission of Excel 2007-2013 XML Macro-Enabled Template (.xltm) is enough to > call it a bug. > > Anyway, the fix is fairly trivial - a new menu item and one word in the > output file. This is not just a simple fix. As macro export is quite complicated and not specified in any standard our export is quite young and quite heavily bound to the XLSX export code. In the past we stored the imported macro stream unchanged back which was clearly not a clever idea. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118875] New: Mail Merge toolbar appears in wrong document after using Mail Merge Wizard and choosing something other than the current document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118875 Bug ID: 118875 Summary: Mail Merge toolbar appears in wrong document after using Mail Merge Wizard and choosing something other than the current document Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.0.1 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: domi...@dwalden.co.uk Description: If I use the Mail Merge Wizard and on the first page ("Select starting document...") I choose something other than "Use current document" (e.g. "Create a new document"), the Mail Merge toolbar will appear in the current document but not in the new document which the Wizard will create. It is more useful to have the toolbar in the new document as that will have the mail merge fields in it. The current document may have nothing of use in it. As I am not aware of any way to access the Mail Merge Wizard without first creating a new document (correct me if I am wrong) users may hit this problem often. On the other hand, the workaround is fairly straightforward, just click View > Toolbars > Mail Merge. So setting to Minor, but change if you want. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new Writer document (which will be called something like "Untitled 1"). 2. Tools > Mail Merge Wizard. 3. Tick the radio button "Create a new document". Click Next. 4. You can go through the rest of the Wizard and add whatever Address Blocks and Salutations you like, or click Finish straight away, it is reproducible either way. (You can also reproduce by choosing another option in step 3, e.g. "Start from existing document") Actual Results: Once you have finished the Wizard, a new document called something like "Untitled 2" will be created, but it will not have the Mail Merge toolbar. Instead, the document you created in step 1 ("Untitled 1") will have the toolbar. Expected Results: The new document ("Untitled 2") which was created by the Wizard should have the toolbar instead. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118856 --- Comment #6 from V Stuart Foote --- Need to be clear that "blinking" and "flickering" are different effects--a blink would be based on a timer of some sort, while flicker is a response to some user control change to the UI. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114719] New RYB based standard palette: cleanup assigned RGB values and color names (result comment 44)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114719 --- Comment #55 from V Stuart Foote --- Created attachment 143677 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143677=edit color picker palette Standard & Tonal and a RBG palette using Canou-Zheng Improved HCI (In reply to Flora Canou from comment #54) > > Just made the standard RGB color palette, using the name "Standard RGB". > It's currently available here: > https://github.com/FloraCanou/standardrgb-palette-loext (since the official > extension site is rather slow). The gradient is smooth, and RGB colors quite acurate, it looks nice, unfortunately the full palette tends toward the pastels. The same issue as with the freecolour-HLC CIELAB reference palette. Need more highly saturated RGB colors. For example the "tonal" technical palette--perhaps alligh the name/color pairings (from the tonal 58% row) across these two RGB centric palettes adjusting the starting point. But if just an extension--your call on that stylistic facet. Also, to simplify things for translators should this be added to core, I would suggest you adopt the color naming from the tonal palette of Spring Green and Chartreuse rather than the non-standard Lime and Turquoise you've assigned. > I'm also trying to develop an optimized RYB-RGB conversion algorithm. I > can't catch the 6.1 release though. > 6.1 is string and feature frozen, we are committed to a RYB palette. But improving the RGB/HSI color correctness for RYB hue, tints and especially the shades would be a valid patch for the release. Looking forward to see if you can improve on the Gosett & Chen algorithm used by Eddy. > (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #53) > > Just watch out for Light Blue 2 and Dark Blue 1 as those values are hard > > coded in the unit tests. > > I don't quite understand this. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118873 Bug ID: 118873 Summary: XML-Form-Document: Decimalseparator doesn't work right in Function of XML-Forms Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de Created attachment 143675 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143675=edit Description for wrong decimal-separator with screenshots Screenshot of the form added to this bug. The first two fields of an XML-Form were added and the value is set to the last field. Values for the first fields are shown in the navigator with decimal-separator '.'. Value for the sum of the two fields is shown with the decimal-separator ','. So the form shows totally wrong: 2,50 € + 3,15 € = 565,00 € The form marks this as a mistake and says the field for "565,00 €" is text. But when you look in the attached form for the calculation it works right. It's only presented in the navigator with the wrong separator. Tested with LO 6.0.5.2, OpenSUSE 42.3, 64bit rpm Linux. Same behavior here in all installed versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118621 --- Comment #6 from RGB --- I fully agree with Christoph Bartz. Close to hand menus are for frequently used actions, not for something you do, at best, a couple of times for each file or, even worst, a couple of times for each template. But perhaps the worst part of this "feature" is that it goes in the same line of the "page panel" in the sidebar and other similar features: it hides from new users the fact that pages are managed through styles. I've been using, and explaining how to use, Writer for the last 20 years, and IMHO it's becoming more difficult, not easier, to explain to new users why page styles are their friend and not their foe. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118621] UI: Request for Enhancement: Turn off Footer/Header Menu.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118621 --- Comment #5 from Christoph Bartz --- Yes, of course, there are some advantages, no doubt. But there are also (a lot of) problems, that occur with the header/footer pop-up. For a detailed description, see first entry of this bug and Comment #3. Here a short list of issues: • Poor handling and bad interactions when Pictures or Tables are at the top of the page. • Chance of unintentional insert of a header/footer. That really annoys. • It lags and glitches a lot relative to other elements of the UI. • Problems with zooming out to multipage-view. • Headers and footers are added normally just one time, but the pop-up menu appears every time. Is this really necessary? And, with due respect Herr Tietze, I don't agree with your explanations. 1. I don't see, how the menu shows ›very clear‹ that you aren't in the document canvas. Why? Because it's blue and slow? What kind of justification is that? In my opinion it only presenting function and nothing more. 2. You said, competitors require the user to double-click somewhere, and this space might be very small, depending on page settings. First, where is the problem? A double-click is definitely not unintended – in contrast to a single-click! And second, relating to the page settings, where is the difference to LibreOffice?? The LibO-User also have to click on the header/footer space. And this space could also be very small. When margin is set to 0,01 cm you also have problems with the pop-up menu. 3. You don't see a use case to disable it. I can tell you: 3.1. You just don't want to insert any header or footer. 3.2. You are using other ways to insert a header, for example: 3.2.1. Navigation bar → Page. 3.2.2. Menu Insert → Header/Footer. 3.2.3. Navigation bar → Styles → Page Styles. So, finally... 1. I don't want you to abolish it. I just want a option to suppress it, that it don't always pop up when I single-click in margin space. It is really annoying. It lags. There are so many other good ways to insert a header/footer. 2. The menu Insert → Header/Footer is very sparse. An addition with controls, what the floating menu contains, would be useful (see Comment #1). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118812] FILEOPEN: Direct formatting overwriting style in DOCX tables, wrong spacing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118812 --- Comment #2 from Justin L --- Created attachment 143668 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143668=edit tdf118812_tableStyle.docx: hand-crafted example with inherited styles, normal, default styles This example file frustrated my efforts to come up with a working fix - i.e. a good test example. 1.) table styles seem to only overwrite document defaults. If the paragraph style (including the default style) defines w:spacing, that wins out over table style. 2.) direct paragraph formatting of course wins out over everything. So, one key here I think is to devise a way for writerfilter to distinguish between "assigned to the style somewhere" and "document default" values. And likely bug 117297 has made things worse, because almost every paragraph seemed to have the property as DIRECT_VALUE which prevents any check against the style. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
