[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118536] Memory for eight blank documents is rather high (480 MB x64) with OpenGL enabled

Certainly not driver-specific, I get roughly the same numbers with 1 & 8 empty
Writer documents.
Each document adds:
- ~28 MB with OpenGL enabled,
- ~18 MB with OpenGL disabled.

No idea what accounts for the 10 MB difference, and if there should be a
difference at all. I'll confirm it for now, and if a dev disagrees, they can
change the status with an explanation.

Your GIF is really tiny (17x17 pixel).
If you insert it in a recent release of Impress and increase the size, it gets
blurred. But PowerPoint 2013 blurs that GIF, too.

I use a Lumia 550 with the final release of Windows Mobile 10 (10.0.15254.490)
and the latest release of the Office Mobile apps (16002.10325.20036.0).

There were two issues

a) Word Mobile says, that the document is in an 'old version'.

I could not reproduce these with the recent version. I also created some new
test cases with 6.1RC2. Word just opened the files.

b) Office Mobile handles all files as read-on. Only saving a copy of a document
is possible.

In the latest releases of Office Mobile you need an Office365 subscription to
edit documents.
That does not mean you need to open the browser to edit a document. It's just
about the license stored inside the phone. An account in the MS App Store is
not enough. Office Mobile needs an additional activation.
You can see App's version and license type in 'Settings'→ 'Info'.

Additionally, putting Windows to sleep via Start menu -> Sleep isn't enough for
LO to crash. But closing the lid is (it's a notebook). No idea what the
difference is.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113386] EDITING: draw arrows in Impress (Online)

2018-07-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113386

Hash: SHA512

Hi! Has there been any updates to this? Our organization would love to switch
from google docs to LibreOffice Online, but this pending feature is what's
blocking our adoption (thank you for adding hyperlink support in #113361; that
was our other hangup)

 * https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/Google_docs_alternative

We use a _lot_ of Google Docs Presentations throughout our documentation, much
of which has simple graphics or annotations of pictures for the open source
machines we build--requiring the ability to draw lines/arrows/shapes. For
example:

 * https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/CEB_Press_Controller_v17.08

If LibreOffice Online Impress could support drawing simple lines, arrows, and
shapes, then we could finally make the jump from Google Docs to an open source
alternative.

Is there any ETA on when this feature would be complete?

Thank you,

Example with thick border.

Yes there is a gap, that shouldn't be there. It is there too, if you use
spacing below, and a small gap can even be seen, if the margins are set to 0.

The gap was not there in version 5.4.7, but in that version the corners are not
correct.

The borders were correct in version LibreOffice 3.5.4.2

Or drag the anchor to the page you want. Drag it to the text area, not to the
top-left corner.

> 2. And the image isn't placed back to page 4 when pressing CTRL+Z once

Page 4 doesn't exists. So the object cannot be put there. So you need to undo
the removing of the page break too, for to get the page 4 back.

The problem is, that users do not understand for which use cases this kind of
anchor is suitable. Your view is likely covered by the request in bug 89477.

I have tried in more recent versions and this has not happened. I reinstalled
the version where it occurred and it did not happen. This was caused by a

it was a file problem, but I doubt it because the file has always been the

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119027] New: Tabbed: Wrong spacing and indentation icon in Layout tab

2018-07-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119027

Bug ID: 119027
Summary: Tabbed: Wrong spacing and indentation icon in Layout
tab
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: riz_17_...@yahoo.co.id

Description:
Open Layout tab in Tabbed Notebookbar interface and see the following icon in
second group related to spacing and indentation function. The icons between
"Before text indent" >< "After text indent and "Above paragraph spacing" ><
"Below paragraph spacing" are basically the same. Comparing to the similar
function in Sidebar menu (Properties > in Paragraph section the functions are
below) they use different kind of icon. I think the sidebar use the right one

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable experimental feature (Tools > Options > LibreOffice >> Advanced |
Enable experimental features (may be unstable) and restart the program
2.Change interface to Tabbed (View > User Interface > Tabbed)
3.Select Layout tab and see the icons

Actual Results:
Spacing and indentation functions use the same icons

Expected Results:
Spacing and indentation functions should use different icon just like in
Sidebar

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Attempts to print either to PDF or to hardcopy behave exactly the same. In LO
versions 4.3.5 and 5.3.7.2 the app crashes immediately when asked to print or
save to PDF. In versions 6.0.3 and 6.1.0.2 the app doesn't crash, but stops
responding, necessitating a Force Quit. For all versions, recovery is
successful, but invariably leads to the same behavior.

It's fine if this is the intended behavior. However, I should note that:
1. the image will move to page 1 when clicking the anchor (first selecting the
frame, secondly clicking the anchor or when changing the anchoring
2. And the image isn't placed back to page 4 when pressing CTRL+Z once

That is the intended behavior of "anchor to page". You anchor it to a specific
physical page. The other content might float, but the object stays on its page.
It is up to the user to shift the object.

A tool for moving the anchor might be useful. Depending on the position and
size of the object it is sometimes not possible to drag the anchor using the
mouse. And I do not know a method to move the anchor without mouse.

Calc has already the ability to merge cells. So instead of splitting a cell you
can merge the cells around.

I miss use cases for such feature in Calc.

IMHO implies such a big and deep changes, on internal manage, functions,

Example configuration bundle to fix the formula syntax as Calc A1

If we finalize the corresponding configuration key of Calc - Formula - Formula
syntax the dropdown list is still editable in the Options window.
The value set is not saved, but applied to the UI until restart.
No crash is experienced.

Expected behavior: the Formula syntax dropdown should be disabled.
