[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119615] CRASH - closing table causes crash using mysql ODB with native connector

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119615

I don't seem to be able to get a backtrace on this. Using lldb, when LO
crashes, an attempt to get a backtrace reports that no thread is available, yet
LibreOffice is still active in the OSX Dock (hence the recovery dialog).

Buovjaga, yes, that is what happens. The document is renamed to the same name
with a 1 added.

Thus, 0Doc.ott is now called 0Doc1.ott in the default templates folder.

What is strange is that when I open Writer, in Properties it still refers to
the original name (excluding the suffix). I assume the the file name must be
stored "correctly" somewhere in the settings?

Yet, when I repeat the exercise, saving again as template to 0Doc, it still
tells me that a template named 0Doc already exists (it does not, in the default
templates folder - it is called 0Doc1).

Now, when I view the default templates folder, the name is 0Doc.ott again.

Save it again as template, and the name has been changed back to 0Doc1.ott
again.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119076] Add means to use the horizontal ruler to shift left indent but leave first line in place

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119076

I should add, that subjectively, the effort to implement a fix seems low.

If we define two formats:

Indent, First line
Indent, Before text

and two arrows on the horizontal ruler:

first line
left indent

currently one arrow maps to one format, which makes sense. The nature of
"Indent, First line" is that it is relative to "Indent, Before text" and the
mapping is simply:

"first line" -> "Indent, First line"
"left indent" -> "Indent, Before text"

The consequence of which is the current UX because "Indent, First line" is
relative to "Indent, Before text", so when you move "left indent", "Indent,
First line" is unchanged, but the "first line" pointer must move to reflect
that.

The request which would improve UX immensely IMO is to optionally map:

SHIFT+"left indent" -> "Indent, Before text" AND "Indent, Before text"

such that a move in the arrow (with SHIFT depressed say) updates not only
"Indent, Before text" but also "Indent, Before text" such that the arrow "first
line" remains unmoved, in short the indent of the first line remains fixed
relative to the page not relative to "Indent, Before text" (the left margin of
the paragraph).

tdf#91362: Use document paper size for printing slides.
By default for priniting slides we use not default A4, but size provided
in slide properties.

Additinally renamed IsPageSize() -> IsPaperSize(): it is less ambiguous.

Heiko is right, the dialog window is modal. Does this help?

The suggestion to use copy/paste only works if the user doesn't copy another
content between field inserted actions. So the usefulness is limited.

I love the idea of a 'last used field' item in the fields sub-menu. For me a
single item is enough, which could be introduced as new UNO command to that the
user can assign a shortcut key or an icon via Customize dialog. With that the
user has not to go through the menu.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119613] New: FORMATTING Incorrect number and date format for South Africa (en_ZA)

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119613

Bug ID: 119613
Summary: FORMATTING Incorrect number and date format for South
Africa (en_ZA)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: documentfoundat...@mohag.net

Description:

(I'm assuming other South African languages are also affected)

LibreOffice Calc incorrectly uses decimal dots and commas as thousands
separators when cells are formatted as currency or numbers.

South Africa officially uses decimal commas (dots are in common, incorrect use
though and many applications require it) and spaces as the thousands grouping
symbol. (Decimal points can be lived with, however commas for grouping creates
confusion)

A blog post with several sources:
https://sadev.co.za/content/how-correctly-format-currency-south-africa
A government style guide:
https://www.gcis.gov.za/sites/default/files/editorial_styleguide_2011.pdf

The date format also defaults to YY/MM/DD, instead of the correct ISO-8601
format. See the description from this standard:
https://store.sabs.co.za/catalog/product/view/id/216987/s/sans-8601-2009-ed-2-00/

Steps to Reproduce:
1. For numbers, enter 123456.12 (use numpad for decimal)
2. Click format as number on toolbar. Click format as Currency to view in
currency as well.
3. Enter a date "Mar 2018".

Actual Results:
123,456.12
R 123,456.12
18/03/01

Expected Results:
123 456,12
R 123 456,12
2018-03-01

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Computer running Windows 10 1803, set to English (South Africa)

I added a file. I basically only wanted to change the font sizes. In the older
version of writer I did this by modifying the paragraph style, using the side
bar (if that makes sense). Side bar icon for style/paragraph/modify, change
font size. This method, nor any others, would work with later versions of
Writer.

Why not rewording "Flip or Rotate..." to "Transform..." as submenu title?

"Flip or Rotate..." would suggest we should also have "Copy, Cut or Paste" as
submenu title with a 3 command submenu (with commands "Copy", "Cut" and
"Paste") etc.

It asks me "A template named test already exist in My Templates. Do you want to
overwrite it?", but then the resulting file indeed gets "1" stuck at the end.

disappears?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119590] Wrong color scale conditional formatting structure with BASIC

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119590

Reading the "ColorScaleEntries" property from a manually created format was the
way I used to see the structure with 2 or 3 items depending on the color scale
I created.

I spent a lot of time trying to manipulate the service you mentionned, as well
as trying to create a "ColorScaleEntry" object directly in order to add it to
the sequence "ColorScaleEntries", even if I couldn't be able to find a way to
add anything to it...

It seems methods or constructors are missing...
Or it is me who is missing something...

It is important to use newer version of Ubuntu - 18.04.

>From your info i could suggest that it is 16.04.1.

The bug is also absent on Debian 8 with GTK2,3 VCL
(https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=890638), but happens on
Debian 9 and Ubuntu 18.04 with GTK2,3 VCL.

Probably some library difference makes the bug happen.

I tried this one with
libo-master~2018-08-29_04.32.58_LibreOfficeDev_6.2.0.0.alpha0_Win_x86 and it's
8 pages, not 10, no empty pages at the end.
Seems solved with Bug 119458 as Bug 116872. Since Base I'll just mark WFM.
Reporter may test master from
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@42/current/ or wait
6.1.2. You can uninstall it later.

Note: I see some slowliness with generating report, but that's another issue.

No, not the whole Base-module. See migration to Firebird and some little
changes in the past (query-editor, macro-connection ...)
Report-builder hasn't created as planned. There have been planned more features
but then the project stopped in 2008 - before LibreOffice appears in 2011.
Report-Builder needs somebody, who has enough knowledge and enough time and
enthusiasm for it ...

blast, I thought the parent style was static/stable, but its not. Given the css
stuff a given style can end up with itself as a grandparent but not the css
mutates things so it doesn't loop around to give itself as a grandgrandparent

My opinion: This is a duplicate of bug 119210, but I can't convince the
reporters and QA. This bug appears first with LO 6.0, not with the
migration-dialog. The migration-dialog (HSQLDB → Firbird) shows the buggy
behaviour as well as every other external database. Internal databases couldn't
show this, because nobody knows Writer is connecting to the databases.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119250] LibreOffice doesn't print since upgraded to 6.0.5 on Windows 10 Pro ver 1803 (with some printers: Funai Kodak Dell?)

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119250

Just for information, I don't reproduce this on Win7 (64 bits) with LO 6.1.0.3
64 bits.
Now I must recognize this bug resembles a bit "Schrödinger", at least in my
case. I mean I noticed several jobs (certainly some made with 6.0.6) on the
printer which were present on the queue.
To explain a bit further, at office we got several network printers. Each time
we print, the job is sent to the printer but not printed.
I must go to the printer, authentify with some badge, then I can see the whole
of my jobs to print. From this, I can print and remove job or remove job.

In brief, I'm a bit afraid that the result of my tests may provide
wrong/tainted information :-(

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119610] New: Insert > Cross-reference: All registered databases are opened

2018-08-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119610

Bug ID: 119610
Summary: Insert > Cross-reference: All registered databases are
opened
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de

Following bug appears in every Writer-document if you have registered
databases:

Create a new Writer-document
Go to Insert > Cross-reference
Dialog for input password for every external database with password-protection
will appear.
Also migration-dialog for migrating internal HSQLDB to internal
Firebird-database will appear when internal features are set to experimental.
See bug 119210 for this.

Seems Writer connects to databases, because there is a folder "database" in the
dialog "fields". This connection happens in LO 5.* (and all earlier versions)
when one database should be opened, not when the dialog "fields" will be
opened. Why should there be a connection to all the databases if you won't need
any?

This bug doesn't appear in LO 5.4.6.2, first appears in LO 6.0.0.1 here. I
haven't installed any version between this two.
My system: OpenSUSE 15, 64bit rpm Linux

it is possible to read the "ColorScaleEntries" from a manually
created conditional format, see attached file.

so i think, you have to fill the "ColorScaleEntries" to make it work.
the question is how can this be done?

I found a service "ColorScale" but don't know how to instantiate:
