[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119974] New: UI: Zoom range customization or increase

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119974

Bug ID: 119974
Summary: UI: Zoom range customization or increase
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tomasz.palutkiew...@gmail.com

Currently maximal zoom of the document is limited to 600%;
it would be best to make in configurable in application options
(i.e. with 2 text fields which define minimal and maximal value),
so the scroll in bottom-right corner could have better resolution;
or just increase the maximal value to 1000% or 1600%
to allow much larger magnifications.

Hello, I think that's because user set range and then created autofilter. In
such case is autofilter's range corresponding selected range.

Tdf#119916 has been RESOLVED not because it was solved but because it was a dup
of tdf#119469.
You must distinguish: RESOLVED/FIXED and RESOLVED/DUPLICATE.

tdf#119469 has never been put to RESOLVED.

After signing a signature line in ooxml, the background turns black (see

This is probably a result of converting SVG to EMF for OOXML.

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 119972
Summary: When I adjust the page margin, the text boxes which in
a table will not in the correct position.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: iOS
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: yichunchen...@gmail.com

Description:
I ignore the text boxes in a wrong position, save the file directly.
Reopen the file, those text boxes are in the correct position.

Currently, my fixing way can solve the problem, but it's not the best way, and
I can't repeat the stupid steps anymore.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Adjust the page margin.
2. The text box will be in a wrong position.
3. If save and reopen the file, the text box will back to the correct position.

Actual Results:
The position of text box is flexible, so weird.
I am so confused about the problem.

Expected Results:
The text box in a table will not move while I just adjust the page margin.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

That's what I expected. And I still dislike the idea of special sorting
algorithm, which is related to text and error-prone. So how about a filter
numeric/non-numeric next to "Top 10"... "Non Empty"?

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90221] Formatting not saving after "clear direct formatting"

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119970] New: The auto-save feature jumps the page.

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119970

Bug ID: 119970
Summary: The auto-save feature jumps the page.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1 all versions
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: keith.gruba...@aol.com

Description:
This is may be a bug or it may be something that was programmed on purpose, but
either way it's the most annoying problem I face. It is the only problem I have
with this software. In Writer (the only one I use) I write novels, and
sometimes I scroll back to a previous page, looking for something. But when the
program auto-saves, it jumps back to where the cursor is. I lose the place I
was looking for and have to find it again. This is beyond frustrating
(especially when you have 200+ pages of work). Is there a way to add a switch
so that this feature is optional? I would much appreciate it if it didn't jump
around every three minutes because it makes it that much more difficult to do
my work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Ensure auto-save is on.
2. Have multiple pages in a document.
3. Put cursor on any page other than the one you're on.

Actual Results:
The page jumps to wherever the cursor is upon auto-save.

Expected Results:
It should stay wherever you are, regardless of where the cursor is.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

This bug is still present in LibreOffice 6.1 -- when a GSuite account uses SSO
(that is, there is no password) it asks for a 2FA PIN instead of opening the
web browser to do the SSO authentication.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119968] New: Export as PDF not original directory - suggested solution

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119968

Bug ID: 119968
Summary: Export as PDF not original directory - suggested
solution
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: stephenaustinm...@gmail.com

Description:
Bug 34303 amply documents the difficulties in LO saving pdfs in the 'last
saved' location instead of the one presently used.

Would respectfully suggest something similar to the 'always save a backup copy'
function in Tools>Options/Load/Save. Suggest having an option to 'Always save a
pdf copy next to original.' This would save a lot of clicking and navigating
around directories whenever a user wishes to save a pdf version of their text
file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Work in directory (A)
2. Move to directory (B)
3. Wish to save text file as pdf in directory (B)

Actual Results:
LO prompts user to save pdf in directory (A)

Expected Results:
LO prompts use to save pdf in directory (B) where user is presently working.
Or, having an option in Load/Save to always save a pdf next to original, thus
obviating all the clicking around.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

I believe that there's no need in the bisecting, because there's a need to
reimplement the function, and that fixes all this at once. The "regression"

I created a quick attempt: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/60730. It is not
complete, and I don't plan to continue it ATM. Feel free to continue based on
it. Its problems are mentioned in the commit message.

Starts to overlap because of this, height is updated (was incorrect before),
but positioning isn't. The conneciton to this issue is that in Word the frame
pushes the table down, while in Writer the table doesn't move, and the two
overlap.

copied the image to the clipboard, pasting into a new LO Writer Version:

Repeated the test with Word 2010 & 2016 with the same result.
My tests were done on Win 7 Ult (x64) & Win 10 (x64)

Sorry this doesn't help your case, but this seems to be a local issue and NAB.

Dave

Unassign myself because I don't think I'll make it.
I find it difficult to disentangle autovalue field in steps 2 and 3 from wizard
+ autovalue present when editing table.

I attached a patch to remove autostatement value but not sure it's a clean one.

So, this problem started to happen after David CLM was embedded into
LibreOffice in

Before that, the spacing didn't change.

@Heiko, is it a problem in the font or in LibreOffice ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119966] New: Support file:// URL from HTML clipboard content in URL format generated from MSO 2007-2013

2018-09-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119966

Bug ID: 119966
Summary: Support file:// URL from HTML clipboard content in URL
format generated from MSO 2007-2013
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lukebe...@hotmail.com

When pasting special URL's with 'file://' fail to open.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a document containing images with Word 2007-2013 (NOT 2016), such as
attachment 92563
2. Copy into clipboard
3. Paste Special into Writer using "HTML format without comments"

Expected results:
Images is successfully pasted into Writer

Actual results:
A placeholder showing the image’s URL in the file system is shown. Ex:
file://C:\Users\AAA\Appdata\Local\Temp\clip\01\image001.jpg

When tested with other Windows application.
WordPerfect x9: PASS
TextMaker 2018: PASS

Note you can fix this issue by clicking on the image placeholder

1. Properties->Image->Link->file name
2. delete the 'file://'
3. From file://C:\Users\AAA\Appdata\Local\Temp\clip\01\image001.jpg

We either need to add file:// support to our HTML importer or we need to have
our pasting module strip it out in the case of "HTML format without comments"

--- Comment #2 from Dr. Matthias Weisser ---
"We need a test case for this."

I understand your problem.

Its no problem sending an original file as private copy. But I cannot post my
original files there. Please understand.

"To quickly remove pictures"

This is not a problem because all pictures are embedded as a link. So when I do
not give away the folder "Bilder" no pictures are loaded because the files are
missing.

"Let's hope the bug is not tied to the presence of the images."

This may be the case because picture loading consumes memory.

Unfortunately the problem is related to a memory problem. When I write books I
have several windows open as is LO (may be up to 3 open documents), Dreamweaver
4, PSP5.03, Everything, 2-3 Explorers, Firefox with several windows open and
sometimes also ppt from Office 2000 with a 100MB file open.

Working a whole day on the document sometimes problems with LO occur, like
"Datei speichern" does not work any longer correctly, the cursor does not
behave correctly (is jumping around when typing in text) and so on, text
marking does not work any longer in one of the LO windows.

All this seems to be memory related. But there is quite some memory there. So
may be hard to find.

I do not know how to help best here. I can only explain what I do see here on
several laptops of the same type over the years.
