[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 87718] FILEOPEN: DOCX - Detection of embedded videos links

2018-09-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87718

--- Comment #5 from QA Administrators  ---
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120068] Table Formatting is forgotten if I delete/add a column

2018-09-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120068

--- Comment #5 from Jim Raykowski  ---
If the table has an autoformat style, as the table in Example file does, Simple
List Shaded, the table style will replace all direct formatting on any row or
column delete or insert. This was implemented by the following commit:

---

commit 73f4a06c0bce51c7c8b9ae9adfdc7ffac27d06b4
Author: Jan Holesovsky , Sat Sep 26 17:55:31 2015 +0200 (3
years ago)
Committer: Jan Holesovsky , Sun Sep 27 22:48:21 2015 +0200
(3 years ago)
Follows: libreoffice-5-0-branch-point
Precedes: libreoffice-5.1.0.0.alpha1
Branches:

sw table styles: Insert column, split table, delete row/column.

Make these operations applying the table style too.

I did submit a way to keep direct formatting and persist it with the following
two patches but was reviewed as being a work around so I abandoned it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92406] STATUSBAR: Making the statusbar configurable in Writer

2018-09-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92406

--- Comment #7 from Tom Colley  ---
I think customization of status bar issues could be solved by allowing users to
specify for each item in the status bar:
- hide/show
- high/normal display priority
- left-right order of display
Some algorithm could be deployed to share the display space between items on
this basis. An easy "reset to default" option would be pragmatic for saving
novice users from "fiddling" errors.

Personally, I rely on the zoom buttons for Writer and Calc but often find they
disappear when I'm sharing a single screen with multiple applications. Having
this capability in Calc would also give me/others continual access to the
useful "Selection Sum/Count/etc." facility, which often gets hidden.

Description:

I'm running LibreOffice 6.1.1.2 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open cmd.exe
2. enter cd "c:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program"
3. enter soffice.exe .uno:Open

Actual Results:
Microsoft Windows displays a window that says "LibreOffice has stopped working"
and closes the program.

Expected Results:
No crash. Maybe show an error message if LibreOffice doesn't like the command
line options.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71111] PIVOTTABLE: Possible confusions with pivot table function names

2018-09-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7

--- Comment #8 from stragu  ---
Tested in:

Version: 6.0.6.2
Build ID: 1:6.0.6-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-AU (en_GB.UTF-8); Calc: group

The results are slightly different to the original description:

"Average" is now the same word in the menu, the layout and the pivot table
headers, which is good.

However, there is still potential confusion in the naming of functions:
- Some names are still abbreviated and never spelled out ("StDev" and "Var"),
which makes it less accessible for people who don't know what they stand for;
- The layout and the pivot table headers do not make the distinction between
the variations of Count, StDev, and Var: both the layout and the pivot table
headers only show "Var" for both "Var" and "VarP", "StDev" for both "StDev" and
"StDevP", and "Count" for "Count" and "Count (numbers only)".

zip of writer file and base file

Since v6, or at least 6.1.0.3, a hidden paragraph is always visible if it
contains conditional text. This was not so in v5.4.7.2.

The attachment contains a simple writer file (Test.odt) with 4 conditionally
hidden paragraphs, the conditions relating to the data in Testdata.odb. To use
mailmerge, the data source must be registered.

Open Test.odt, make the data source visible and write one of the records to the
fields in Test.odt

If the first record (with "number" = 1) is written to the fields, paragraphs 1
and 3 should be hidden, but 3 remains visible .
If the second record ("number" = 2) is written to the fields, paragraphs 2 and
4 should be hidden, but 4 remains visible.

The hidden paragraphs always remain visible when there is further conditional
text within the paragraph. This should not be so and was not so in previous
versions.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120065] GTK3: Wrap icons are smaller than before the dialog got welded

--- Comment #3 from Caolán McNamara  ---
caolanm->andreas_kainz: Do you think we can get all of those wr*png icons in
the larger size ? There's a few other problems there too on toggling contour,
"After" looks good in both modes, large rectangle vs large diamond, but we
don't get diamonds in the other contour cases.

--- Comment #2 from Caolán McNamara  ---
I think this is an icon theme thing, rather than a weld thing. If you change
the icon theme to galaxy as used in the 6-0 screenshot you get big icons.

In the elementary theme if you select "before" and toggle contour some icons
have a different size to others. Checking I get...

file icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr*.png
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr010.png: PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr011.png: PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr01.png:  PNG image data, 24 x 24, 8-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr02.png:  PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr03.png:  PNG image data, 24 x 24, 8-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr04.png:  PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr05.png:  PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr06.png:  PNG image data, 24 x 24, 8-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr07.png:  PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr08.png:  PNG image data, 16 x 16, 4-bit
colormap, non-interlaced
icon-themes/elementary/sw/res/wr09.png:  PNG image data, 24 x 24, 8-bit
colormap, non-interlaced

some are 24x24 and some are 16x16, they should ideally all be the same size,
the larger size. (In the colibre theme they are 32x32, and the breeze_dark
theme has these mixed sizes too)

Description:
When converting formats txt→odt→txt LO inserts unnecessary characters at the
beginning of the resulting text.

It shouldn't insert any characters by itself, and instead it should preserve
text bytes just as they are.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.

```
echo 'foobar' > text.txt
libreoffice --convert-to odt text.txt
mv text.txt{,.orig}
libreoffice --convert-to txt text.odt
```

Actual Results:
$ sha256sum text.txt{,.orig}
a2969248c7632f26c29e6d46a177f1f63334202d1d6170928e2e737d2b0f7c29  text.txt
aec070645fe53ee3b3763059376134f058cc337247c978add178b6ccdfb0019f  text.txt.orig

$ hexdump -C text.txt.orig
  66 6f 6f 62 61 72 0a  |foobar.|
0007

$ hexdump -C text.txt
  ef bb bf 66 6f 6f 62 61  72 0a|...foobar.|

Expected Results:
sha256 of both original and conversion output should be the same.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64242] TABLE: correct UX handling of "Distribute" and "Equally Space" table Columns and Rows

2018-09-22 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64242

--- Comment #23 from Justin L  ---
Suggested help content (note that the proposed commit is the implementation of
the description - not an edit to the help. In other words, it is an
implementation of my suggestion in comment 19.)

Distribute columns evenly: Adjusts the width of the selected columns so that
each column has the same width, regardless of content. The table width remains
unchanged.

Minimize column width: Adjusts the width of the selected columns to fit the
selected content. The table can shrink if necessary, but will not grow. (This
is how Optimize column width worked in LO <= 6.1.)
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/60902 tdf#64242 sw add minimize table col/row UI

Optimize column width: Adjusts the width of the selected columns to fit the
selected content, without changing the width of the table. Any leftover space
is distributed proportionately, with thin columns growing slightly, and wide
columns growing much wider.
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/60905 tdf#64242 sw optimal column width, not
minimize

Distribute rows evenly: Adjusts the height of the selected rows to match the
height of the tallest row in the selection (regardless of the content), causing
the table to grow.

Minimize row height: Adjusts the height of the selected rows to fit the
content, causing the table to shrink. (This is how Optimize row height worked
in LO <= 6.1.)
(same commit as minimize column width)

Optimize row height: Adjust the height of the selected rows to match the height
of the tallest row in the selection (fit to content), without shrinking the
table. This option is the same as minimizing row height and then distributing
rows evenly except that it adds the benefit of preventing the table from
shrinking.
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/60903 tdf#64242 sw optimal row height, not
minimize
