I'm afraid I still don't understand, because I can customize the default
styles:

1. Open List styles in the sidebar of a document
2. Open context menu of a style => modify
3. Modify the style (I changed the numbering style of numbering 123) => O. K.
4. All lists with that style change

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

finger. In LO, the text is highlighted during the scroll gesture. Can this be
changed? It's really annoying to push this little scroll bar up and down.

Does not anyone use LO on a tablet?

Actual Results:
No sensible working on a tablet

Expected Results:
scroll up and down with my finger on Touchscreen

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

So to respond to the request for information, the context menus do behave
properly on Xorg.

To expand, I don't think the context menus respect the window size or window
location at all on Wayland.

For example, on Wayland context menus always open down and to the right from
where ever is clicked, even if that means they are on another monitor or if
they are completely off the screen. I took screenshots, and can provide them if
they'd help.

This problem exists in all components, not just Calc.

Has persisted on many versions for me, but I am currently using Flatpak:

I tried LibO 5.3. It's twice as fast compared to 6.2 but slower compared to

I'd say in this case we can safely say the identity moves along with all the
content (though yes, I'm primarily considering the user
experience/expectation).

Interestingly, our Word import is inconsistent, in DOCX files anchor to
paragraph is kept, while in DOC files they become anchored to character (the
first in the paragraph).

ODT filter: make sure we have a layout before export
It is expected that the commandline --convert-to switch gives mostly the
same result as save-as on the UI, but this was not the case for ODT, as
the convert-to case had no layout available.

As a result the explicit width of table columns or soft page-breaks were
missing from the export result in the convert-to case.

Given that Word formats already calculate the layout before export and
during crashtesting we already wait for the OnLayoutFinished even before
export, just enable calculating the layout before ODT export as well to
shrink the cmdline vs GUI differences.

[ No testcase: saving
writerperfect/qa/unit/data/writer/epubexport/table.fodt with the writer8
export filter would be a reproducer for this, but the test doesn't fail
without the fix even aftet not calling CalcLayot() via the
mustCalcLayoutOf() override, so I'm out of ideas right now how to test
this. ]

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120527

Yes, I can confirm this behaviour in the 6.1.2.1 release.

In both functions (Writer and Draw/Impress), I've set a breakpoint on the line
sNewURL = oBitmaps.getByName( "OOoLilyPond" )
and observed the bitmap table (see attached).
It looks exactly the same in Writer, Draw and Impress. It contains one element
called "OOoLilyPond". That looks correct so far.

Executing the next step (i.e. the line containing getByName) causes the
"incorrect property value" error.

I'm not sure what you are referring to with "Impress equivalent". If you are
talking about
oDrawPage=oDocCtrl.getCurrentPage()
later in the non-shortened ImportBitmapIntoDraw function: I have no clue. ;-)
That code wasn't written by me, I just took over the project when the original
developer retired. But apparently it has worked so far.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

1. I'm using Linux Mint (Cinnamon).
2. Yes, I've just checked it in the Linux text editor, it worked well. Now I
remembered I even use the command Ctrl + H to Localize and Substitute and it
works well.

But when I try to use Ctrl + Shift + E to activate track changes, then the
underlined letter "e" appears. And I realized that Ctrl + "z" doesn't work only
after I try to use Ctrl + Shift + E.

I tried to use a shortcut with Ctrl + Shift + (something) in the Linux text
editor and it worked well.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120554

Bug ID: 120554
Summary: Can't change templates or create new one
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alainjacks...@gmail.com

Description:
Every time I try to create a new document, I have to reset the margins. In the
legal field we are required to use 1 inch margins. I have to set the margins
manually every time because I can't save a new default page template as Libre
won't save it or allow me to change the old one.

Actual Results:
The default page template will not change. Says there is no template in the
directory. I'm trying to overwrite an existing template and it won't do it

Expected Results:
I expected the template to be updated. Instead nothing would save and when I'd
open a new document it would go back to the previous settings.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Yep, version is for oldest affected, like it says.

For default width, create a blank file, change the default cell style to make
it wider, then save the file as a template:

I checked my records to see when I purchased this printer, April 6, 2010. It
may be wearing out. Never had problems printing the spreadsheets before on this
printer.

I looked at that bug, it's close but not quite. I think I will create a new
one.

I upgraded to Version: 6.1.2.1 after opening this bug and changed the Version
accordingly, notice you set it back. Guess I wasn't supposed to do that was I.

Nothing new here!
Same behavior in
LibreOffice 3.3.0
OOO330m19 (Build:6)
tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4

Why would one expect fidelity when taking text with differing font metrics and
attributes (e.g. underlining) through filter export from MS Word to PDF, import
from PDF into Draw document canvas as individual text runs, and then an export
to PDF from Draw?

The PDF is structured with text runs drawn from spans on export, each change of
font & attributes in the source OOXML or ODF will ensure it is handled in a
different text run in the PDF. Then on filter import, positioning of *each*
individual run as a Draw object onto document canvas is limited by our 1/100mm
placement resolution.

Additionally, there is also a known issue in the precision of how fonts are
scaled and text glyph height and span width is calculated--which is then
manifested in filter during import and export.

That is why LibreOffice will *never* be considered a PDF editor--we do not hold
positional precision of the objects placed to document canvas during filter
import and then export, neither graphics nor text.

Could be linked to the default US page style - wouldn't be the first time we've
had such issues.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116124] LO Impress PDF Export "Notes only" or "Notes" does not export embedded pictures

2018-10-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116124

Experimenting with this, I took an image that wasn't rendering and I converted
it to "curve" and the image then appears in the PDF correctly. So a dirty fix
is to convert your images to "curve" or "polygon" before exporting as PDF.

But there are still examples where it will not work. I tried the same with a
different metafile (a "group" consisting of a chart and some annotation text
from LO Sheets) and the image vanished. Fighting with this some more, I tried
reducing the size of the image to a postage-stamp and moved it to the top-left
of the slide. Triggering "convert to curve" then functioned, but the image
jumps about half-way down the slide. This looks to me like a positioning
problem of the same sort as observed in the PDF output vanishing.

No repro for me with:

Version: 6.1.1.2
Build ID: 5d19a1bfa650b796764388cd8b33a5af1f5baa1b
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Mac OS X 10.13.6; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Admittedly, I am one minor release number behind you, but I see no particular
slowdown with any of the documents I produce.

You don't say what kind of document causes the slowdown - is it any document,
or a particular type ?

>From your description of Step 4, it would appear to be a spreadsheet document -
it would help us if you could provide a test document where the behaviour is
reproducible so that we can test it ourselves.

Setting to NEEDINFO

The problem is with Reports. Sorry I mentioned Forms.

Note that this problem has been confirmed using a Base file sent to me by
someone here, so it is not just my Base files.

Not a valid report.
DOCX you attached is already modified in LO so it cannot be a reference.
Please attach an original DOCX from MSO or ODT from LO that was used to create
docx.

FYI: conformation and a fix can take a while.. For the time being:

You could downgrade, if you know a version working as expected..
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

Or try the master version and check if it's fixed already
