[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120469] Object anchored to paragraph doesn't move if an enter is inserted at the beginning of the paragraph
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120469 --- Comment #2 from Aron Budea --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #1) > Well - technically you are not moving the paragraph, but split the existing > one, creating *a new following paragraph* with the contents from previous... > thus it's strictly speaking correct that all paragraph anchors continue to > point to the paragraph object that has lost its content, but not its > identity... I'd say in this case we can safely say the identity moves along with all the content (though yes, I'm primarily considering the user experience/expectation). Interestingly, our Word import is inconsistent, in DOCX files anchor to paragraph is kept, while in DOC files they become anchored to character (the first in the paragraph). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

As a result the explicit width of table columns or soft page-breaks were missing from the export result in the convert-to case. Given that Word formats already calculate the layout before export and during crashtesting we already wait for the OnLayoutFinished even before export, just enable calculating the layout before ODT export as well to shrink the cmdline vs GUI differences. [ No testcase: saving writerperfect/qa/unit/data/writer/epubexport/table.fodt with the writer8 export filter would be a reproducer for this, but the test doesn't fail without the fix even aftet not calling CalcLayot() via the mustCalcLayoutOf() override, so I'm out of ideas right now how to test this. ] https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=343af46fc301a984929e071d477b8fb9f211e289 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120527 --- Comment #5 from Klaus Blum --- Yes, I can confirm this behaviour in the 6.1.2.1 release. In both functions (Writer and Draw/Impress), I've set a breakpoint on the line sNewURL = oBitmaps.getByName( "OOoLilyPond" ) and observed the bitmap table (see attached). It looks exactly the same in Writer, Draw and Impress. It contains one element called "OOoLilyPond". That looks correct so far. Executing the next step (i.e. the line containing getByName) causes the "incorrect property value" error. I'm not sure what you are referring to with "Impress equivalent". If you are talking about oDrawPage=oDocCtrl.getCurrentPage() later in the non-shortened ImportBitmapIntoDraw function: I have no clue. ;-) That code wasn't written by me, I just took over the project when the original developer retired. Same behavior in LibreOffice 3.3.0 OOO330m19 (Build:6) tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4 Why would one expect fidelity when taking text with differing font metrics and attributes (e.g. underlining) through filter export from MS Word to PDF, import from PDF into Draw document canvas as individual text runs, and then an export to PDF from Draw? The PDF is structured with text runs drawn from spans on export, each change of font & attributes in the source OOXML or ODF will ensure it is handled in a different text run in the PDF. Then on filter import, positioning of *each* individual run as a Draw object onto document canvas is limited by our 1/100mm placement resolution. Additionally, there is also a known issue in the precision of how fonts are scaled and text glyph height and span width is calculated--which is then manifested in filter during import and export. That is why LibreOffice will *never* be considered a PDF editor--we do not hold positional precision of the objects placed to document canvas during filter import and then export, neither graphics nor text. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116124] LO Impress PDF Export "Notes only" or "Notes" does not export embedded pictures
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116124 --- Comment #8 from Alex Doll --- Experimenting with this, I took an image that wasn't rendering and I converted it to "curve" and the image then appears in the PDF correctly. So a dirty fix is to convert your images to "curve" or "polygon" before exporting as PDF. But there are still examples where it will not work. I tried the same with a different metafile (a "group" consisting of a chart and some annotation text from LO Sheets) and the image vanished. Fighting with this some more, I tried reducing the size of the image to a postage-stamp and moved it to the top-left of the slide. Triggering "convert to curve" then functioned, but the image jumps about half-way down the slide. This looks to me like a positioning problem of the same sort as observed in the PDF output vanishing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
