[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120670] New: Formula handling in Writer tables
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120670 Bug ID: 120670 Summary: Formula handling in Writer tables Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.2.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: h...@urpla.net Created attachment 145796 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=145796&action=edit A Writer document with an invoice table Dear everybody, attached is a writer document, that demonstrates an area, where Writer could improve a little, and any user of similar table will celebrate! It shows a typical simple invoice table, containing a few items, and each item line contains a formula for calculating the unit sum. Below that, it comes with the usual summing, VAT, etc. Issues: * When adding an item below the microbes (add table row below), it is missing the sum formula, and consequently, this item is missing in the net amount sum. * Moreover, with removing an item (delete table row), all summing formulas are invalidated, and have to be redone. * Another minor issue lurks in the VAT field (A9), if simply editing the VAT value, and leaving the field, it is loosing its special VAT value format. Reassigning the format and replacing the content with just the value is necessary to recover. Discussion: Of course, this behaviour could be changed by embedding a Calc table, but this comes with a price to pay. Apart from the inconvenient handling, it creates issues with page break, etc... I'm using such tables since more than 15 years with SO, OO, LO, and I'm enjoying todays state a lot, as it preserves the item row formatting, when adding rows. This used to fail in former times. Solving these issues would make a lot of people, that create invoices with LO, very happy. I'm sure, I know some of them... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Obviously, the attached document produces so many rendering issues/visual distortions, that nobody with the power of fixing such bugs ever touched this issue seriously. As Yifan Jiang noted in #c0, nobody ever attempted to create a detailed listing of the issues, it suffers from. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91797 --- Comment #8 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.
