I am sorry, but I don't have the document any more. I didn't think this bug
would stay essentially un-looked at for 6 years.

I'm self-confirming according to [1], since the bug has originally been
reported by another user in our internal issue tracking system (in fact with at
slightly different use case involving the Java extension "WollMux", but the
underlying issue seems to be the same).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121892] New: gtk3_kde5: Impress presentation minimizer crashes

2018-12-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121892

Bug ID: 121892
Summary: gtk3_kde5: Impress presentation minimizer crashes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m.wegh...@posteo.de

When using the gtk3_kde5 VCL plugin, Impress crashes when trying to use the
presentation minimizer. It works fine when using other VCL plugins.

Current build of git master:

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: f9d145af01f8f960ea1a6a0736d976d503446804
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3_kde5;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Steps to reproduce:

1) open an existing presentation in Impress or create a new one
2) select "Tools" -> "Minimize Presentation"
3) click "Finish"

Result:

* LibreOffice crashes
* A "Save" dialog appears

Expected result: LibreOffice should not crash.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

I have installed LibreOffice normally [default directory and boot with the
system]. Then I selected 'Options' from the 'Tools' menu. Later, I defined
'Points' (pt) as the default unit [I would prefer 'Pixels' (px)]. Note: I made
no advanced changes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121890] New: enhanced path formula values "left" and "top" are wrongly calculated for general custom shapes

2018-12-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121890

Bug ID: 121890
Summary: enhanced path formula values "left" and "top" are
wrongly calculated for general custom shapes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 147255
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=147255&action=edit
Document showing the wrong positions

The attached file has three custom shapes in red and for each a blue rectangle
indicating size and position as given by the svg:x, svg:y, svg:width and
svg:height attributes.

The top-left custom shape has a viewBox of svg:viewBox="0 0 21600 21600" and a
constant path draw:enhanced-path="M 5400 0 L 5400 21600 M 0 5400 L 21600 5400 F
N". It is rendered correctly.

The bottom-left custom shape has the values shifted be -5400. So it is
svg:viewBox="-5400 -5400 21600 21600" and draw:enhanced-path="M 0 -5400 L 0
16200 M -5400 0 L 16200 0 F N". It is rendered correctly too. LibreOffice is
able to use a svg:viewBox, where the top/left coordinates are not zero.

The top-right custom shape has the values for the path not given directly but
using formulas with left, right, top and bottom.
draw:enhanced-path="M 0 ?f1 L 0 ?f3 M ?f0 0 L ?f2 0 F N">

Now the lines start in 0|0 instead of -5400|0 and 0|-5400. The values for left
and top are apparently set to 0. Such is the default value for MS custom
shapes, but not for the general case of ODF "non-primitive" type custom shapes.
In ODF left and top are specified in table 11:
left| The left position of the svg:viewBox attribute is used.
top | The top position of the svg:viewBox attribute is used.

its the spell checking, or the calculation of the area of text that is
misspelled, that is hanging. So if you uncheck "automatic spell checking" in

no macro is executed, the layout of a line of text is looping. so its not a
virus or a macro, just a hang. Its looping in laying out a line of text,
seemingly unable to find a place to line break it on first glance. We don't
treat such denial of service issues, (hangs and such), as high priority
security issues requiring special handling, but your reporting of it through
this channel is commendable. You can attach your test case to the bug in the

In the dialog for setting the duration of the emphasis, one can only set the
duration to a marginal value.

It should also be possible, to be set to zero seconds.

Currently, when setting it to 0,01sec as workaround there's a short flickering.

The item seems to flicker in the original color before appearing in the color
you set as "emphasis".

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121574] Enhancement : Pasting from Writer to Impress Should be "Text only" by default

2018-12-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121574

@ Luke
1 I'm not using LO as a cheap clone of MSO. I'm using LO for many reasons, and
one of them is that if a user wants a new feature, he can ask for it. If the
feature is considered as a good idea by the community, it'll be agreed. And if
a dev has time to implement it, it'll be done.

2 Seam's reasonable, but should be applied with intelligence to avoid stupid
behaviour. (Out of discussion, but I can't remember when I should press the
shift key to keep ratio size of an object and when I shouldn't)

3 The only valuable argument(FMPOV). But, presentations are to be used on
screen, with few words, images etc. Document are to be used on hand, to be
read. With many words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters...
There is absolutely no reason to have the same police with the same size and
the same colour.
Helping people to work this way is not helping them to build good presentation,
even if it is done on company such as MS

No, I still believe that pasting text only with text style, is a good way to
past text from Writer. The style you want to use should be Text for most of
time and a child style of Text in the other cases.
Such a behaviour should encourage people to use this great functionality that
MSO PP haven't (AFAIK).

This does happen for me, but not all the time. When it does, then the cursor
doesn't blink properly either -- and top(1) shows 229,2 for %CPU. But sometimes
it just goes down to 0. Strange. :-)

I wonder if this is a regression... It would be interesting to see the ODT
version can trigger the same in e.g. LO 3.5 or not.

Agreed, which is why I proposed that we have 2 classes, a general measurement
unit of in. or cm.(page, margin, ruler dimensions etc.) And a typography class
where point is commonly used(line spacing, font, line width etc.).

This alone would solve my use case and the use case described by the bug
reporter. Making the UI easier to change these 2 classes is fine, but I'm
opposed to modifying the UI without first addressing this underlying issue.

Hi Xisco,

I've downloaded LO 6.1.4.1 today. There this is not fixed yet. I don't know if
it is still worth fixing this bug for LO 6.1.5 and LO 6.1.6.

2018-12-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121887

Bug ID: 121887
Summary: FILEOPEN XLSX "Maximum number of rows per sheet" on
tags ROW without attribute R
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ungift...@ya.ru

Created attachment 147249
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=147249&action=edit
Really small example for the issue

We have reports in XLSX from our corporate GSM oprtaror.
Everytime we open that files in LO we have warning about maximum rows exceeded.
Today I spent 2-3 hours to track down this issue.

I found LO warn "Maximum number of rows per sheet" on this simple XML:

 1

with attribute R it eats file fine:

 1

But Excel (2003, 2007, web 365) open file fine without any warnings and issues.

Tested on 6.0.7.3 and 6.1.3.2

And those individual units would have to be stored anyway. Plus we need an
