[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122186] New: FILESAVE: Input fields saved in DOCX get corrupted
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122186 Bug ID: 122186 Summary: FILESAVE: Input fields saved in DOCX get corrupted Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.0.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: filter:docx Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu Blocks: 104523 Created attachment 147658 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=147658&action=edit Sample ODT The attached ODT contains an 'Input list' and an 'Input field', both added to an empty document via Insert -> Field -> More fields... / Functions Tab. This bug report is about what happens if the sample is saved as DOCX, and opened in Writer / Word. Note that Writer currently has limited support for Word's different types of form controls, this issue is just about patching up the export code to produce reasonably working controls. In Word, for legacy form elements (the ones these are supposed to be exported as) to be fillable, 'Restrict Editing' has to be set with 'Editing restrictions' set to only allow 'Filling in forms'. In Writer the corresponding setting is a compatibility option: 'Protect Form' in Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> Compatibility. In Writer the form elements can be filled even if the 'Protect Form' compatibility option isn't set. Thus the expected behavior would be the following: 1. If compatibility option 'Protect Form' is not set during save: a. In Writer the input fields should be fillable as is, the text should be editable. b. In Word the input fields should be fillable after setting 'Editing restrictions' to 'Filling in forms'. 2. If compatibility option 'Protect Form' is set during save: a. Both in Writer and Word the text should read-only, but the input fields should be fillable. Actual behavior: 1.a. In Writer the list remains, but no entries can be selected, the field disappears. 1.b. In Word the field disappears, the list seems to be editable after restricting to 'Filling in forms' (might still be corrupted, didn't check in detail). 2.a. In Writer the document is a single read-only region that otherwise is similar to 1.a. In Word the document is restricted, but the whole region is editable (input list doesn't work, and the field disappears in this case as well). Observed using LO 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ (2018-12-18, 2b9739b9b009de93efa4f24995469c3bb9d82261) & 4.0.0.3 / Windows 7. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122184] New: Spellcheck highlight updates only after entering space or new line after specific word
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122184 Bug ID: 122184 Summary: Spellcheck highlight updates only after entering space or new line after specific word Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Linguistic Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: larionenkorus...@gmail.com Spellcheck highlight(red line) doesn't update if user change(fix spell) some word and move cursor to an other word. Space or new line entering is required to update spellcheck highlight. Steps to reproduce: Enter "Dog and cat" Change to "Dogr and cat" Move cursor from "Dogr" to an other word using mouse or arrow buttons. Actual result: "Dogr" isn't highlighted as incorrect word. User should enter space or new line after Dogr word to update highlight. Expected result(works well in Microsoft Word Online): "Dogr" should be highlighted as incorrect word. Possible it is not bug and it is just specific behavior. But I think LO should update spellcheck highlight dynamically(without entering space or new line after specific words). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121418 --- Comment #4 from Mike Kaganski --- In [1], a user sought for the option. He gave a reason for that - he needs a fixed name format consisting of a hash string without an extension. Actually, even ignoring that, there is an inconsistency here then: the option is available in all other pickers (Win; built-in; KDE; ...) - so then we should either remove it everywhere, or add to GTK for consistency. Same files work correctly with LO 5.1.6.2 under Ubuntu 16. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new presentation 2. Insert Audio/Video, select a video file 3. Go to presentation mode Actual Results: Video is scaled to full screen (which can badly change the aspect ratio, e.g. I have square videos that become stretched to 16:9). The slide (aprt from the video) is invisible. Right-clicking gives a menu, but there is not menu item to leave full screen mode, just the usual menu for navigating to other slides. There is also no option to avoid full-screen mode in the Media Playback (right sidebar). With Slide Show>Slide show settings, I can have the slide in a window, but the video still covers all of the slide (and flickers badly). Expected Results: Video should be shown in its box in the slide, as it was with LibreOffice 5 (using the same .odp and videos). A separate option to have it full screen would be nice, but this should not be the default behavior. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Unbuntu 18.04.1 LTS, Core i7-8550U, using Intel graphics in the CPU. Linux 4.15.0-42-generic #45-Ubuntu x86_64 GNU/Linux. You can select this one by setting the environment variable "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3" before starting LibreOffice. Also, it may be helpful to know if this still happens with the current development version of LibreOffice. If you want to check, you can download a daily build at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ and use it as described e.g. at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux . > can't we have native Qt > bindings like you do with GTK?) There's actually a native qt5/kde5 backend that will be part of LibreOffice 6.2 (though it still has some bugs, s. meta bug 102495).
