https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122302 Bug ID: 122302 Summary: MSI installation should show what it does when it installs KB2999226 Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Installation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com Created attachment 147798 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=147798&action=edit Screenshot of empty status message Since 6.1, MSI embeds an installer for KB2999226 (bug 108580; [1]). It is installed in the deferred stage of installation (after admin credentials are requested), and might take a significant time. But at that stage, the progress dialog doesn't show a status message, giving no hint to user about what is being actually done (see screenshot). Installer should show a descriptive message during this phase, like "Installing KB2999226". [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122300] New: LibreOffice Base: Table Creation Wizard: Primary Key "AutoValue" does not populate after error.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122300 Bug ID: 122300 Summary: LibreOffice Base: Table Creation Wizard: Primary Key "AutoValue" does not populate after error. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: oldironsides1...@hotmail.com Description: The "AutoValue" field does not populate when erroneous entries during the Table Creation Wizard cause an error at the end of the Table Creation Wizard. (i.e. "Use Wizard to Create Table...") Steps to Reproduce: REPRODUCING THE ERROR: 1. To reproduce the error, start with a new LibreOffice Base database and open the table Wizard to create a new table. 2. Select "Create a new database" and Embedded database: "HSQLDB Embedded". - Then, click the "Next" button. 3. In the next screen: "Decide How to Proceed After Saving the Database". - Accept the default settings: - "Yes, register the database for me" - "Open the database for editing" - Then, click the "Finish" button. 4. The Save window will appear. - Select a Name for the Database - Save the file in a suitable location. - Click the "Save" button. 5. The LibreOffice Base Window will open. - Under the tasks select "Use Wizard to Create Table..." 6. The Table Wizard appears. - Select the category: "Business". - Select the table sample: "MailingList" . - Select "MailingListID" from the available fields and add it to the selected fields on the right. - Select "FirstName" and "Lastname" and add them to the selected fields on the right. - Click the "Next" button. 8. In the "Set field types and formats" window, accept the defaults for everything except the "AutoValue" of "MailingListID". 9. For "MailingListID", change the AutoValue to "Yes". - Then, introduce an error by entering "0001" for the "Auto-increment statem". - Note: Entering "+1" also causes an error. - Click the "Next" button. 10. Now the "Set the primary key" window appears. - Keep the default "Create a primary key" checked. - Then, choose "Use an existing field as a primary key". - Under the "Fieldname" drop down menu, choose "MailingListID". - For "Fieldname" keep the default setting with "Auto value" checked. - Click the "Next" button. 11. The "Create Table" window. - Accept the default table name of "MailingList" - and the default setting "Insert data immediately". - Click on the "Finish" button. 12. Immediately, an error message appears. - In this case it reads: "Unexpected token: 0001 in statement [CREATE TABLE "MailingList" ("MailingListID" INTEGER NOT NULL 0001]". - Click the OK button to clear the error pop-up and go back to the wizard. 13. Click the "Back" button twice so that you view the "Set field types and formats" window. - Correct the error, by removing the "0001" from the "Auto-increment statem" box. - Click the "next" button twice. Note: I would expect this correction to resolve the error but it does not. Instead the the Table Creation Wizard must be started over and run without error before the "Autovalue" works properly. 14. Finally, click the "Finish" button. 15. The table will come up for editing. - However, the "MailingListID" field does not "AutoValue" like it is supposed to. - This "AutoValue" error prevents saving of the table and prevents saving any records in the table. - The following error message appears, when attempting to insert a new record: "Error inserting the new record" "Attempt to insert null into a non-nullable column: column:MailingListID table: MailingList in statement [INSERT INTO "MailingList" ("FirstName", "LastName") VALUES (?,?)]" Actual Results: -Wizard allows for error to be introduced and does not explain what entries are allowable. -After error occurs backing up and correcting the error does not fix the error. -The error is only corrected if the Wizard is started over and run without error. Expected Results: -The Table Wizard should not allow invalid entries. -A help link should be included next to the "autovalue" option explaining what suitable entries should be. -The "autovalue" field value should not be editable unless there is a reason to edit it. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: NOTE: - Backing up and correcting the error within the wizard should fix the problem. - When an error like this occurs, it should not require starting over with a new table. - The "AutoValue" failure only results when an error occurs during the wizard. - If no error occurs during the table creation wizard, the "AutoValue" works properly as expected. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122299 Bug ID: 122299 Summary: Base/Writer MailMerge: Saved "Label Document": Error Message "The data source was not found." Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: oldironsides1...@hotmail.com Description: Libre Office Writer/Base - MailMerge "Label Document" Error. Error Message: "The data source "BizMailingListData" was not found." - Label documents only work for MailMerge printing during the LibreOffice Writer session in which they are created. During any other LibreOffice Writer session they produce an error message. (See attached sample error message.) - This requires that a new label document is created each time labels are printed. Saved label documents that are used in a later LibreOffice Writer session are useless and always produce an error. - This bug is with the MailMerge feature which involves both LibreOffice Writer and LibreOffice Base. However, the bug appears to be in the source code for LibreOffice Writer. Steps to Reproduce: REPRODUCING THE BUG: 1. To produce the error create a MailingList table in LibreOffice Base similar to the one attached. (See Sample Database file) 2. In LibreOffice Base, create a label document from the LibreOffice Base table. (File > New > Label) (See Sample label document) 3. In the LibreOffice Base label creation window, add the appropriate fields from the right (i.e. database fields) to the leftside (i.e. label). 4. Click on the "New Document" button to create the new LibreOffice Writer label document. 4. Now print the LibreOffice Writer Label document. (File > Print...) -The MailMerge dialog appears: "Your document contains address database fields. Do you want to print a form letter?" -Click on the "Yes" button. -The labels should print normally. 5. Save and close the LibreOffice Writer Label Document. 6. Re-open the Label Document file and attempt to print it as above. (File > Print...) -The MailMerge dialog appears "Your document contains address database fields. Do you want to print a form letter?" -Click on the "Yes" button. -This time the error message appears and the label document fails to print. Actual Results: Error Message: "The data source "BizMailingListData" was not found." Expected Results: Successful printing of address labels from existing Base Database. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122232] UI: Pressing Enter in a protected sheet doesn't jump to next row in every case
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122232 --- Comment #4 from Gerhard Weydt --- Created attachment 147790 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=147790&action=edit Test Doc where the protected cells are to the left After confirming that I also think that the described behaviour is a bug (and it's still present in 6.2.0.1), I want to describe what I think is the intended behaviour in simpler situations, which I indeed think is helpful when filling many rows of similar data, which might be deemed the most frequent case. if you start from a cell, only entering data and then going to the next cell using Tab, then using Enter will position the cell cursor in the next row and in the column of the cell this sequence started with. I cannot tell exactly which actions break this sequence, but clicking in a cell and changing data does, for example. Now the problem in the present case obviously lies in the fact that some cells are protected. It is now more difficult to identify the cell to jump to. It seems that up to 6.0 Calc first selected the column to jump to and then selected the fist cell below the starting point which is not protected. (for the moment I call this choice 1) Starting somewhere with 6.1. the behavious changes, as described in the bug. One could assume that it now first looks for the next unprotected cell in the current column (where Enter was pressed) and the goes to the start column (taht would be called choice 2). If it were so, this would have corrected a wrong behaviour in 6.0 (and probably in former releases too) which you can test in the attachment "reverseExample.odt" (protected cells are also yellow): if C7:D10 are protected and you enter data in the sequence C6 -> D6 -> G6 and then use Enter, then the cursor is in the protected cell D7. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The same still happens in 6.2.0.1. So it is not the case that one error was corrected by creating another, but the situation now is worse than before: both test cases now are wrongly handled, whereas only one was beforehand. Although the present situation is doubtlessly worse than the one before and should therefore be changed, it does not seem clear to me how a complete solution could look like. Even choice 1 and choice 2 seem to be contradictory solutions, each one fitted for one type of constellations, and combinations of protected/unprotected cells more difficult are conceivable. If, for example choice 1 is used and jumps to a cell which is protected, a human being would look for the next unprotected cell to the right _which will be needed_. But this cannot be detected by the program: it selected the first cell of the new row simply because it was the first in the previous row, I assume, and I also assume that the intermittent columns used in the previous row are not available to the program. So I cannot propose a consistent way for the determination of the jump target in the general case of protected cells. By the way: is there another jump direction in Calc for languages that write from right to left or top-down? That would make the problem even more complicate (although not necessarily more difficult, as a solution could probably be transposed). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122292 Bug ID: 122292 Summary: To create a checkbox that could be checked so all indents automatically match tab settings for that file Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bugrepor...@gmail.com Description: Feature Request: To add a checkbox to Writer so every time you press the Increase Indent button, it just follows the tab settings for the document. (maybe for LibreOffice Calc too) Actual Results: Right now you can set all the tab stops in a document all the way across. But then you can only set the first indent. As soon as you hit Increase Indent, it defaults to a much larger indent than what I want for incremental indents across the whole page. Expected Results: Not applicable because is feature request and doesn't exist yet. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I would like to be able to check a checkbox so that the Increase Indent button automatically follows all the tab stops for that document.
