The browser can change the color of the "vertical scroll" and "horizontal
scroll".
So I think LibreOffice should also change the color of "vertical scroll" and
"horizontal scroll".

Well, this issue didn't arise after renaming the %APPDATA%\libreoffice\4\user
directory to user0. I renamed the newly created user directory to user1 and
renamed user0 back to user. I'll keep this in mind next time I upgrade LibO.

2019-01-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121678

I am not sure it's a dupe of tdf#115747. That bug is about inability to open
files in RW mode when it's impossible to create lockfiles (on the share in
particular); the specific case discussed there is when the share precludes
creating dot-named files - and in that case, it wouldn't matter if LibreOffice
is started on Linux or Windows. In the case raised here, to the contrary, it is
clearly possible to open the file in RW mode remotely, both from Linux and from
Windows (see steps 3 and 13-14). The problem is, that using Linux, the "shared
spreadsheet" mode is not reported properly, which is very different from the
issue which this is marked as a duplicate.

No,
Only "posting" has nothing to do with "copying".
"Paste the location program", the only change is "Paste".

The copied pattern, in the same position, is also a problem.
Don't you find Microsoft Office, the copied pattern won't be in the same
location.

Please don't turn off this post, this is a very important thing.

Uhm, IIRC doesn't the Infobar hold part of the classification marking
mechanism? The later being rather significant per document.

Rather than the StartCenter, might a suitable button icon placed like the
"Update Available" onto the main menu--with similar balloon callout text--be
less annoying cajoling? Those interested would mouse over and could click, and
otherwise could ignore it if they like as timer cycles. Less "in your face".

Andrew's Recipe list_minimal.doc: reduced example

(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #7)
> I could not figure out what commit might be the cause.
I eliminated parts of the document (starting with the TOC) and came up with a
three page version that fails as far back as I can test in bibisect43all (so
before LO3.6). Not a regression - just a change that triggered an existing bug.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108560] Editing multi-line cells with thousands of words is slow when OpenGL is enabled

2019-01-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108560

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121781] Status of time zone data storage in date cells; timezone conversion

I agree that the timezone functionality is missing.

On the other hand, all modern collaboration software does support timezones, so
lacking support for them is unusual.

There are real-life use cases in which the lack of timezones can cause
problems, and I've added another one at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121851#c3.

According to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principle_of_least_astonishment,
I would strongly suggest that we document this unusual behavior (lacking
timezone support), in order to manage expectations correctly.

Happy to write the documentation if provided with the appropriate MediaWiki
editing credentials.

2019-01-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121851

I've had a second look at the underlying content.xml file of the .ODS that I've
attached to my first ticket. The timezone information is included as "Z"
(Zulu/UTC time) in the office:value-type="date" attribute, then also as text in
the field:

2018-11-30T23:30:00.000Z

Should the "Z" time zone specifier be respected when displaying the cell's
value in a different timezone?

In regards to this comment,

> Specifically one does not want to see different times just because viewing
> data someone entered in a different time zone

How about this use case:

A business person living in the US has customers in the US, and an outsourced
contractor in Asia who takes support calls. The contract logs each call with
its timestamp and a brief summary. Due to the timezone difference, the local
times in Asia corresponding to business hours in the US will tend to be during
the US night. That doesn't make sense. The US person will want to see the time
in the US timezone when the contractor answered the support call.

have only been using LibreOffice for a few months without any special settings)

re-tested with another Writer file and the error message did not appear again.
Looks like my problem is solved.

I have discovered that the Err508 problem has been addressed:

That still leaves the problem for output on a different sheet to the input

The discussion at 80583 is helpful to someone seeking to resolve this bug,

I see, it was bug #67905 - but in most desktop use cases I think there is
enough processing power for the preview rendering, while I understand there are
situations when there isn't.
But this is a VERY UX question :).

@Heiko:
About turning it on / off by default, there is this key (without an xcs
schema... would be nicer to have) under ooo.VCL/PrintDialog/HasPreview that is
not set by default and the code interprets != "true" (including: empty) as a
false value; see vcl/source/window/printdlg.cxx see void
PrintDialog::readFromSettings()

Sample DOCX

The attached DOCX was created in Word, and has two crossing lines (like a +).

When it's opened in Writer, the lines are shown as | (both lines are there, but
the one supposed to be the - is just a point).

Observed using LO 6.2.0.2 / Windows 7.
No issue in 6.1.0.3.
=> regression

The commit is the same as in bug 118693, but the symptom seems to be somewhat
different.

  Hardware: All

Really minimal example of issue

We found files created in MS Office, then open/edit/save in some LO versions.
Files is xlsx with translations Russian/Latvian. Some words have symbol "Š".
When we copy that cells from Calc and then paste to Writer we have got wrong
symbol.

"Šampūnas" --->> "Љampūnas"

I trackdown issue to very minimal file. File wrong from point os view Excel,
but it show issue without xml noise.

Reproduce:
1. Open attached file on LO Calc.
2. Copy A1
3. Create new Writer document
4. Paste. On old, pre 6.0 office, please use Insert as.. and select RTF.
5. You should see "Љampūnas" instead of "Šampūnas".

Tested on 3.6.2.2, 5.4.0.7,6.1.4.3, 6.2.0.2, AOo 4.1.6

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122715] New: FILEOPEN XLSB format is inconsistent with Excel with incorrect cell references and hiding

2019-01-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122715

Bug ID: 122715
Summary: FILEOPEN XLSB format is inconsistent with Excel with
incorrect cell references and hiding
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: byroni...@gmail.com

Description:
I received an XLSB file and opened it in LibreOffice Calc. The total formulas
at the bottom show different numbers than if you open the same file in MS
Excel. It seems that some rows were hidden in the Microsoft file, but Calc
shows them. This causes the cell references to be out of sync, and thus
incorrect.

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Open the attached file in both LibreOffice Calc and Microsoft Excel
1. Look at cell F72 in both
2. Look at cell D18 in both

Actual Results:
1. 131,400
2. TJ681AAE

Expected Results:
1. 107,100
2. TG627BA

Reproducible: Always

You are right. It doesen't appear with VCL: x11; - but its a horrible GUI with
very small fonts ...

So a special bug for gtk3?

2019-01-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122667

There is something about my personal environment which provokes this; the
problem does *not* happen when logged in as another user.

I tried removing my profile and removing all environment variables other than
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin and DISPLAY, and the problem still happens when logged in as
me (but not as another user).

I'm using latest master, installed parallel to other version.

Give me a few days to try to isolate what is provoking this. I'll post more
when I know more.

File causing CPU hit

Attachment is taken from bug 60118, re-attached for convenience as the original
was an archive.

I sometimes observed that with my wide desktop screen, having Calc maximized
prevented the CPU hammering. Thus, it is best to resize to a size where you
don't see much of the grey background on the right.
