[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123890] New: Error in inserting hyperlink when selected text starts with a slash

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123890

Bug ID: 123890
Summary: Error in inserting hyperlink when selected text starts
with a slash
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mahmood.sagh...@gmail.com

Created attachment 149759
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=149759&action=edit
a sample writer file demonstration the problem

When a piece of text which starts with a forward slash is selected and then a
hyperlink defined in the insert hyperlink dialog, the result will be two links
with similar targets but with differing texts. The text for the first link is a
single slash and for the next link is the remainder of the text.
Steps to reproduce:
sample text = "/for" {without double quotes of course}
sample link = "http://www.example.com";

1 - create the link with the sample text and link and save the file
2 - rename the file to a zip file
3 - extract the zip file
4 - open the "content.xml" file in the extracted folder
5 - search for the sample link
6 - you will find two links one with a "/" and another with the "for":

first link
http://www.example.com/";
text:style-name="Internet_20_link"
text:visited-style-name="Visited_20_Internet_20_Link">/

second link
http://www.example.com/";
text:style-name="Internet_20_link"
text:visited-style-name="Visited_20_Internet_20_Link">for

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80412] FILESAVE: DOC save breaks correct Normal style font and font size in Word for Mac 2011

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80412

Tested with LO 6.2.0.
And the issue is still there, when oppening with Word for Mac 2016 ver 15.22.

This is quite an important basic compatibility issue to me, that has wide
impact on interoperability and should have been resolved years ago. But now as
soon as possible.
Namely, every file, saved either with Open Office or LO 6.2 is stored
somewhere. And eventhough the issue is resolved in eg. LO 6.3, all files stored
to .DOC with earlier LO/OOo versions are “infected” already.

This bug does not seem to manifest on Linux. In Windows, I probably need to
narrow it down between network drives and local drives.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121011] FORMATTING: Make font size field in styles dialogs toggleable between percentage and pt

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #7)

> Draw as worst-case you need A4 with points and lines to create a poster but
> meter/inches to scribble a floor plan. Sometimes you scale things and that
> requires percent.

If you want to make changing Units easier on Draw, I could see the advantage.
I've used *drawing* apps that have this functionality and I see the advantage.
However that change should not be applied across all the other applications in
every dialog box with units. For all the other apps, we should just fix the UI
on a case-by-case bases with a simple, clean solution, like Mike suggested.

> suspect there are many scenarios where you need the micromanagement.

We should not make the UI more complex on gut feelings. When I use MS Office at
work, I do NOT miss having to switch between inch and point. I do get annoyed
that I have to switch back and forth when I'm using LO because we incorrectly
shown font sizes and line widths in non-standard units like inches.

And no one likes overly complex UI always showing features that 99.9% of users
will never need. In this case, we could use label strings and tooltips. And in
Bug 72662, we could just use the same unit of measure that Word,
WordPerfect,WPS Office... all use.

Bug ID: 123889
Summary: When I type in certain times the get changed to a
lesser time, i.e. 0:13 gets changed to 0:12
(0:12:59.99).

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: red...@gmail.com

Description:
When I type in certain times they get changed to a lesser time, i.e. 0:13 gets
changed to 0:12 (0:12:59.99). But only in certain times and formats.

0:13, 0:26, 0,33, 0:49, and 0:52. I only went from 0:01 to 1:00

Formatted Customized Event
To To Occurred
01:37 PM No
13:37No
13:37 [H]:MM Yes but only 0:26
876613:37:45 Yes
876613:37Yes
876613:37 [H]:MM Yes *
876613:37:45.99 Yes
876612:37 [H]:MM Yes

Using the format with the * I did:

row 1 0:01
row 2 =sum(h1+"0:01")

Then copied it down to 1:00. it repeated 0:12 (row 12 and row 13)got errors
this was also.

It happens on any spread sheet in any location in a spread sheet, and on three
different computers.

I saved a copy if the table I made as an HTML and posted it to:

http://web.newsguy.com/redwdc/time_test.html

My main computer is running Win 10 build 17763.348
Laptop is running win 10 build 17763.316

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123888] New: creating lock file failed when FILEOPEN on exFAT-drive

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123888

Bug ID: 123888
Summary: creating lock file failed when FILEOPEN on exFAT-drive
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dav...@gmx.net

Description:
Error after opening a file saved on a file partition formatted as exFAT. The
lock file can't be generated so there is only read-only access of the file
possible. When saving the same file e.g. on a NTFS-partition normal processing
is possible. I have all the read and write rights on the exFAT partition and
enough disk space available.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. save file on exFAT-drive
2. try to open that file

Actual Results:
Error message (try to translate it): The lock file for exclusive access by
LibreOffice could not be created, as the rights are not sufficient to create a
lock file in the save folder, or there is not enough disk space left there.

Expected Results:
read and write access possible (Surprise!)

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123887] New: Feature request: global option for pasting location in Draw (UI)

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123887

Bug ID: 123887
Summary: Feature request: global option for pasting location in
Draw (UI)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: laurent.terr...@gmail.com

Description:
After copying some components, it would be great to offer at least 2 choices so
the user can decide where the content is going to be pasted in Draw:
- option 1: paste approximately where it was copied (current situation except
that paste location is exactly the same than the copy location)
- option 2: paste where the cursor is

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy some elements
2. Paste them

Actual Results:
Elements are pasted exactly where they were copied

Expected Results:
Option1: elements are pasted where they were copied but translated with some
pixels both vertically & horizontally so the user can distinguish any of them
Option2: elements are copied at the last position of the cursor

Reproducible: Always

We are converting some MS Office documents to PDF using the command line
option. In 10% of the cases, the table format doesn't get converted properly.
It adds an arrow on the top left of the pdf start page Also, the position of the
inserted shapes changes.
Tables get cut off at page breaks.

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69043

If I understand it correctly, the problem discussed here is specific to the
warning issued by installer that some files required to be updated are in use
by Microsoft Windows Search Filter Host.

This is not a bug. Since LibreOffice provides an Explorer extension (a DLL)
capable of providing data to the Windows Search, it's normal that at times the
Windows Search indexing service is active, the shell extension is used. When
it's used, it naturally can't be updated without a restart. And this is not a
bug or error. This is not something that might or should be changed. The
warning tells that reboot would be required if user doesn't shut down the
process, and suggests rebooting if used does not stop the service.

The installation errors mentioned in comment 1 might be an unrelated, or
specific to some old version of installer (I doubt the latter, actually).

Despite use of Windows Restart Manager was included in LibreOffice Windows
installer, the Restart Manager can only automatically restart processes owned
by currently logged on user, so it cannot restart services.

I propose to close it NOTABUG.

 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW

It is confirmed by independent research on
https://forumooo.ru/index.php/topic,7532.0.html, where another server
(Firebird) was connected using ODBC. Newer versions of LO (reportedly 6.0+)
could not perform specific tasks on the server (namely, add records), while
creation and editing of tables was possible. It was reportedly OK with 5.4.7.2.

The problem was nailed down to the "Respect the result set type from the
database driver" setting on the Advanced Settings dialog, where it is reset to
enabled state upon reloading the odb, along with some other settings. Being
unable to unset and save state drove the reporter to write a macro attached to
"File Open" event:

> ThisDatabaseDocument = ThisComponent
> ThisDatabaseDocument.DataSource.Settings.RespectDriverResultSetType = false

Setting to NEW.

You can easily add any currency format by adding a format code with its
currency code in the number format dialog such as

0. [$BTC]

for BTC Bitcoin. Using the [$...] notation adds it to the Currency category in
that dialog.

Other than that I don't know which converter you are referring in the summary
line.

I have a problem with some queries when using MySQL(JDBC). MySQL(Native) works
fine.

In the sample, using JDBC, Query NIC4RatesPivot works, but NIC4RatesPivotOld
fails, stating that table NIC4Rates does not exist. But it does, as a query in
the LibreOffice database.

Changing to MySQL(Native) fixes the problem.

I don't know how old this issue is, but it affects many of my nested queries.

SQL for the underlying tables is attached separately. The database is actually
MariaDB 10.3.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123878] New: Numeric format inconsistency: Macros vs Writer fields, formula calculation fails

2019-03-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123878

Bug ID: 123878
Summary: Numeric format inconsistency: Macros vs Writer fields,
formula calculation fails
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Extensions
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jsd.libreoff...@bvac.co.za

[Sorry if Extensions component is wrong, wasn't sure what to pick]

Running LO 6.2.0.3 on MacOS 10.13.6 in South Africa, where system regional
setting uses comma rather than period for decimal separator.

Writer treats strings with period, eg "1.5" as non-numeric and evaluates that
as 0. With a comma instead, eg "1,5" the value is one-and-a half. OK, fair
enough.

Now I have a macro that extracts a value from a spreadsheet cell, and sets that
value into a Writer variable field which is then used elsewhere in a Writer
formula.

The latter formula does not compute correctly - result is 0 - because the
extracted spreadsheet value (a floating point number, type Variant/Double
returned by RangeTLCellValue) gets turned into a string with a period for
decimal point in the Writer variable field (DependentTextField.Content =
myNumericValue)

Either the implicit double-to-string conversion should be using the same
punctuation that's expected elsewhere (so comma not period) or else everything
should accept a period as decimal separator in number strings, and then do the
local-dependent presentation only at the formatting stage (which is what
OpenOffice used to do: this macro began life there).

FWIW I tried changing Language settings in the document, made no difference.
Presumably the system locale trumps that for number parsing. This also
affected static "set variable" fields in the template: I had to change decimal
periods to commas in those too, to make the formulas work.
