[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119248] Status bar displays "wrong" sum when colored negative cell format used
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119248 --- Comment #6 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Eleni Zapridou from comment #5) This is not a bug per se, and it was never stated otherwise. Even the title has "wrong" in quotes. Still, there's a usability issue. The status bar is incapable of displaying the formatted value using all the features which cells can use - like colors in format strings, or conditional formatting that might change background for negatives e.g. Also users could custom-format cells to look like sort of booleans to indicate if something matches some conditions or not (like '[<10]"GOOD";[<20]"WARNING";"BAD"')... and it totally doesn't make sense to have such things in status bar for aggregates, when for a sum of cells, you'd see "BAD" in status instead of "100" - what is "BAD" for a data point is not necessarily bad for the sum. So there is a suggestion by Eike in comment 3, which is to use *cell format category's default format* for displaying aggregates in the status bar, which are expected to be generic enough to provide useful aggregate results, even when selection has some fancy formatting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59121] Redo/Undo looses bookmark
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59121 --- Comment #7 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124089] New: DOTM AutoText import creates incorrect shortcut (with space)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124089 Bug ID: 124089 Summary: DOTM AutoText import creates incorrect shortcut (with space) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: filter:docx Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu Blocks: 104520, 108663 Word lacks the concept of shortcuts for AutoText, so during import simply the first couple of characters are taken, including spaces if any is there. However, spaces are normally not permitted (can't be entered), and mess up shortcuts: simply pressing F3 at the end won't do anything, the whole shortcut has to be selected first. The easiest fix would be to strip spaces from shortcuts. Another option would be to use initials instead, but they aren't very important, in Word entering them based on the suggestion after the first couple of characters seems to be the normal usage. AutoText import from OOXML files was added by Szymon Kłos in 2017-04 and 05, perhaps that offers some clues where to find the relevant piece of code. I don't have a sample right now, perhaps could try to create one later. Observed using LO 6.2.0.3 / Windows 7. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124088] New: Propose AutoText name and shortcut based on selected text
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124088 Bug ID: 124088 Summary: Propose AutoText name and shortcut based on selected text Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu Blocks: 108663 The AutoText dialog doesn't have great usability (see bug 52607). A small improvement would be if the dialog pre-filled tha name and shortcut based on the selected text. Name could be the first X words from the first line, no longer than 20-25 characters, and shortcut could be what it'd automatically add if the user entered that name themselves. Also, upon the first click into Name or shortcut fields, pre-select field content, then entering a custom name is zero extra steps. I'm not sure how useful it'd be in the end, but I think it's a nice touch having something there by default, without adding any overhead for the user.
