https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122983 --- Comment #2 from Winfried Donkers --- (In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #1) > @Eike, @Winfried, what your opinion here ? IMHO creating and using a macro would be the best solution. This seems a very specific use case, of which there are lots of similar situations (without possibilities to combine them in a simple, user friendly function), each with a very limited use. I have made several barcode generator applications/scripts/macro's, and each had its own check mechanism. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I don't have access to a Windows build, and I won't for a longer time. If nobody has time to fix this, you should probably revert the fix for bug 122927, as this looks like the smaller problem. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124284] New: CPUs go to 100% when using Shift-Key in Writer: Custom-Properties, Text-Fields.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124284 Bug ID: 124284 Summary: CPUs go to 100% when using Shift-Key in Writer: Custom-Properties, Text-Fields. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: benico...@gmail.com Description: In LO-Writer "Custom Properties" "Text Fields": touching the "shift-key" (to capitalize letters) pushes CPUs to 100%. Fault is not reproduced with Caps Lock nor if the fields are copied & pasted. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Writer and goto File -> Properties -> Custom Properties 2.Create a new Property of type text ... Give it a Name 3.Start to enter the field value for that property and use shift-key to capitalize a word. Actual Results: Properties Box freezes, CPU's go to 100%. It does recover after a while. With the AppImage version the [OK] [Cancel] [Reset] and [Help] buttons also continue to flicker in a fast sequence one-after-the-other ... after some time (dependent on the number of capitals) the cpu load goes down and the typed letters appear in the input box. Expected Results: Just entered a capital letter - without freezing up the system for 30s to 3min. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This bug is present since release 5 ... installations has been on various computers with Ubuntu 16.04 as well as 18.04. Installation source has always been the zipped .deb packages - with the EN-ZA helppack and the AF and EN-ZA langpacks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124279] New: Function wizard structure tab shows inconsistent intermediate results
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124279 Bug ID: 124279 Summary: Function wizard structure tab shows inconsistent intermediate results Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org Created attachment 150204 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=150204&action=edit image with formula and function wizard, structure tab The attached image shows the issue. The tree view displays/suggest wrong figures. Step to reproduce 1) Open Calc and place cursor in cell A1 2) enter formula =A2*SIN(EXP(A3)*PI()/6)^A4 3) fill a2, a3, a4 with values 10, 0.312 and 2 respectively. 3) look at the Structure tab of the Function wizard in the picture. What's wrong? The intermediate calculation are out of order and does not represent the true intermediate computation. The image shows in row 3 and 4 all the intermediate results of the calculation. for example, the line EXP=3.14159... suggest the resulting exponential is 3.141159 (aka PI()), which is wrong. The final result is correct but the structure of the formula does not shows reliable information. It should be displaying the contents of row 4 in the tree. I suppose the tree view of the formula was designed to assist in debugging complex formulas, which is not what is happening. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Here both and glyphs get index 0 and the next glyph, , gets index 3. So for us this means that, the first three characters, “the”, make a two glyph cluster, , and we can’t tell which of the three characters belongs to which glyph and thus bundle them as a single unit. Now, /ToUnicode allows only one to one and one to many mappings, but not many to many that we need here, so we use an /ActualText tag. For maximum compatibility with PDF readers not supporting /ActualText we also add, as a last resort, a /ToUnicode entry for the first glyph, , mapping it to the three characters and skip the second glyph . This is not ideal, but at least one gets some text (and spurious chars for the unmapped glyphs) on such readers. So basically it is a faulty font, that should have gotten index 2 not 0, and us are doing our best to accommodate limitations of PDF format and PDF readers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124191 --- Comment #31 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Khaled Hosny (inactive) from comment #21) > > Here is result from a 6.2.1 build--note addition of the /ActualText > > structure, which helps with fidelity of pasted text. But that the > > LibreOffice generated /ToUnicode does look to have problems. > That is fine, it means there is no unique one to one, or one to many mapping > between these glyphs (not characters) and the input text, so no /ToUnicode > and /ActualText tagging is used for them. While things are much improved with HarfBuzz and moving the font handling into CommonSalLayout. But I'm still not sure this is correct, at least not in handling digraphs for the Graphite fonts. When LO exports to PDF the mapping of "The fire flying coffee left Quickly.", with Graphite font(s), the /ToUnicode stuct is getting an additional glyph added to the digraphs (both PUA and , and then is not mapping that glyph when it probably should. Use the below /ToUnicode chart with annotations, and read out the Tf[.*]TJ text runs (from LO 6.2.1) in comment 16 <01> <005400680065> --> "The", but maybe should be just "Th"? x <02> -- "e" not mapped <03> <0020> -- <04> <006600690072> -- "fir", but maybe should be just "fi"? x <05> -- "r" not mapped <06> <0066006C0079> -- "fly", but maybe should be just "fl"? x <07> -- "y" not mapped <08> <0069> -- i <09> <006E> -- n <0A> <0067> -- g <0B> <0063> -- c <0C> <006F> -- o <0D> <006600660065> -- "ffe", but maybe should be just "ff"? <0E> <006C> -- l <0F> <006600740020> -- "ft", but maybe should be just "ft"? <10> <005100750069> -- "Qui", but maybe should be just "Qu"? <11> <006B> -- k Seems consistently incorrect.
