https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115512 --- Comment #10 from andreas_k --- Gnome is a good and nice desktop environmental and gtk a beautiful toolkit. But - we don't have gnome icons cause there is no designer draw it. We use there elementary icons which is ok. - csd would be nice that's the reason for this bug. But I agree it has massive open ui questions. - libreoffice is not gnome only. As long as libo is no gnome app only it has to be always a compromise. - nb is optional and was done for or win users cause someone was willing to make it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124514] New: Chart wizard initially does not list all data series lists for some chart types
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124514 Bug ID: 124514 Summary: Chart wizard initially does not list all data series lists for some chart types Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Chart Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: catbil...@gmail.com Created attachment 150492 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=150492&action=edit sample table for chart in Writer and Calc To recreate: 1. Select contents of cells in the attached spreadsheet. 2. Click icon in formatting bar to start Chart Wizard. 3. Select chart type and click Next. 4. Select Data series in columns and First row as label. Click Next. What I expect to see: In the Data series box, a list of the 6 data series names in the first row of the table. What I see: The results are inconsistent. For most chart types, "Column A" appears along with the 6 data series names. Exceptions: For XY chart type, the 6 data series names appear without "Column A." For Bubble chart type, only "bravo, delta, foxtrot" appear. For Stock chart type, "Unnamed Series, Unnamed Series 2, Unnamed Series 3" appears in Calc. In Writer, "bravo, echo, unnamed series" appears. I see this in the 6.1.5.2 and 6.2.3.1 versions in both Calc and Writer. I understand that there are some differences in how the Chart Wizard works that depend on the type of chart chosen. However, I am trying to explain Calc charts to people and it would be a bit easier without these inconsistencies. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115512] Remove titlebar from UI in case of Gnome
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115512 --- Comment #9 from cranetester --- What if you don't want to use the ribbon? Most users hate it because it requires way too much mousework. It would mean an unconventional and arguably inferior user experience for most people. Also the ribbon is nowhere to be found in the Gnome design guidelines. It's a not feature that GTK provides out of the box. So the ribbon will actually make the program fit more poorly into the Gnome desktop than it does now. And finally, the no-tilebar feature will be solely for Gnome, at it well never look or function the same as a real headerbar. Given all that, spending time on developing this particular feature does not seem wise. What's the benefit? I see only downsides. If the goal is to integrate with the Gnome desktop, Libre Office could work with Gnome to develop a CSD library that would allow non-GTK programs to use real GTK headerbars. It should also work with them to finally create a *standard* and native replacement for menubars. This would be another library. At the moment, the Gnome design team doesn't even provide any sort of UI model that could replace menubars. So if Gnome wants apps like LO to replace the tried and tested features, it is Gnome's responsibility to explain how that might be done. One idea might be a large command pallete with widgets for various actions and a search interface. The responsibility for desktop integration should be shared between app developers and the desktop maintainers. If Gnome pushes a new design then it should also help developers adopt it. Otherwise, just stick to the traditional design. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123009 Richard Ward changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|1 |0 Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED --- Comment #2 from Richard Ward --- Thank you for your response. The presentation I have created is file size 88Mb. This contains 120 pages of animation graphics, text, pictures. I have eventually created a screen shot video, which I had to play in sections then merge the recorded section to complete the video. To do this I finalised the presentation then saved (with backups) then closed LibreOffice Impress I then made the files read only. Then reopened Impress then recorded slides 1 to 30, 30 to 68, 68 to 97 and 97 to the end. The video I then added music then I had the video posted You tube for all to view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYSmrRifoqE&t=90s The video is of the English Civil War in the 17th century, in particular the Battle of Winwick Pass 19 August 1648. >From the video you can see the complexity of the presentation. FYI In the past I have actually present the presentation in 2015 in an earlier version where the presentation lasted over 2 hours with no problems. This was on a laptop using Windows 7 and an earlier version of LibreOffice impress file size 66MB. As all the presentations are very large files it is difficult to send via email, as I do not know how to send large file over the internet. Maybe you can advise how to send? As you will see from the video, at the end I refer to part 2, which I am currently creating on Impress - though I know how to overcome the reported problem - others may not be so understanding - hence my reporting of the repeatable problem. I have changed the NEEDINFO cell as I await your instructions. Concerning sensitive information: As the video is already in the public domain there is no sensitive information and as the information I refer to was written in the 17th century, I have assembled as a non commercial and not for profit educational history video. The textual menu has the advantage of accessibility but if you draw some icons it would for sure support the access for non-blind users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124507] New: Impress: Changing paragraph indentation should update animation type (on-click/with-previous)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124507 Bug ID: 124507 Summary: Impress: Changing paragraph indentation should update animation type (on-click/with-previous) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: andthebr...@softfrog.ca Steps: 1. Create an Impress presentation with a bulleted list. 2. Animate the bulleted list. 3. Right-click on any of the animations, select 'Timing...' 4. On 'Text Animation' tab, set 'Group Text' (to 'By 1st level paragraphs' for example); press OK 5. Change indentation of some one of the paragraphs. Desired: - The animation type (on-click vs with-previous) should update to match the setting for the text group. Actual: - The animation type does not change. Notes: - The "Group Text" setting is currently inferred from existing animations; however, for this requested feature to work reliably the Group Text setting must be set at Text Group creation (default to 1st level, like currently done), and updated only when the user explicitly sets the value (vs implicitly updated whenever the user updates the animation types individually). - PowerPoint (.pptx) files store this setting as the 'bldLvl' attribute, on the tag, inside inside inside in the XML file for each slide. - Setting will need to be saved in .ODP file. - Setting must still be inferred for old files which lack the setting. If the "Group Text" setting is inferred, then we run into problems when there is only one paragraph, or when the user manually changes one (or more) animation's type. In either case the "Group Text" setting would change unexpectedly for the user. Currently this is not an issue because the setting only has an effect at the moment the user sets the value; however, this proposed feature will change animation types during a user's normal work flow and hence must not unexpectedly change the text grouping. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
