On a system with the Noto v2.00 build fonts installed with LibreOffice 6.2, LO generated ODF, OOXML and at least DOCX are rendered in MS Word 2016 with no loss of font fidelity. The Noto Sans and Noto Serif Regular fonts are parsed and read by MS Word. On same system with an ODF exported to PDF (font subset) the PDF renders using the Noto fonts as composed. So on the originating system this appears pretty benign. Of course it could be more severe reopening on a different system, or for locale using other scripts. But, probably best to move to more current Noto sources that have been patched when available as this seems legitimate for some locales. @Khaled? I'm sorry to not find a case to reproduce it on purpose, it seems to be related to nothing. One thing I realised: When I work in "safte mode" I get a green status bar on the bottom when I use a file with external references and click on refresh. I NEVER get this bar when not in safe mode. I resettet the user profile several times...maybe this is a hint. As I said, when the quickstarter is active and the "file does not open" problem occures, the whole programm doe not respond with any dialog anymore until I shutdown the quick starter, then all before clicked files open up... This is how Windows created a profile directory for the user, not related to LibreOffice operation. Possibly I could have renamed the test user name at some point, which naturally did not reflect on the already created profile directory; I don't remember. The resulting directory (containing all the usual Windows user profile stuff like NTUSER.dat, Documents and all) still has a name consisting of character not representable in usual Windows codepages (and specifically, in the given Windows instance using Windows-1251), which is the point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The actual UI is a "piece of cake", much more important is to have a clean implementation and scope. If so, you'd have to design them all, in all themes. Otherwise the Formula bar is not a regular toolbar structure [1]. I think its icon on the submenu is an exception drawn from the toolbox. But then its entry probably does not belong on the View -> Toolbars menu anyhow. Because when present the Text Formula field responds when accessed via the Edit -> Fields menu entry. And it should probably have an entry on the Insert -> Field submenu-- maybe as "Text Formula"--for creating the field. And, it is also unique in that the field does not show up in the Fields dialog. Thus, I will probably be implementing a very limited ui in sidebar deck offering only a selection list for styles to be chosen from. Sorry, but I asked this question only through my ignorance. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70838] FILESAVE: doc: wrong size and position exporting rotated objects
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70838 --- Comment #39 from V Stuart Foote --- The export to .DOC of Image inserted to Frame of comment 0 are no longer changing size when opened in Word 2016. But opening the exported .DOC back to LibreOffice loses the rotation, and the image fills the frame that holds the rotated image. OP then changed scope of BZ to include rotated Draw shape objects. Unlike images the Draw shapes are now correctly sized and positioned round trip to Writer, and in Word 2016 Setting this resolved fixed. Remaining issue of OP for image rotation is open as bug 116371. The rotated image is being saved correctly to .DOC and .DOCX, and opens rotated and sized correctly in Word 2016. The .DOCX opens correctly in current master. And, just the .DOC version is not opening correctly in current master. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121967 --- Comment #18 from V Stuart Foote --- OP wants us to follow Microsoft convention, our implementation was not theirs and our +Click multi-selection is functional. There is no imperative to adopt Microsoft's solutions, especially if they can not be demonstrated to be more effective. This isn't, and frankly our user community comes more from the non-Microsoft centric Drawing application world where Illustrator, PhotoShop, Corel Draw/Paint, Inkscape, GIMP all use a +click multi selection. While adding a based multi-select might be a nice to implement user customization--it in no way represents what should be a default. As noted, implementation of an option would require substantial rework of the control--not worth it. Oh, and by the way the Microsoft multi-selection implementation on macOS uses --not , (nor ).
