Gábor, sorry I diidn't see, that it is only for Linux. I assume, that the
author of the extension is responsible for fixing the bug mentioned in the
Linux release also for windows. But there are no information about the author.
So I would say NOTOURBUG.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

It's needed to remember that CF only works per sheet context, so a CF done in a
sheet only works in that sheet.

Seems the issue here is that the condition is added on the sheet where the
cursor is after select with the mouse. Introducing the formula by hand works
fine for me.

Yes, I know I can change it. But the chart doesn't really fit.. There is no
category.. for doing 'weird' stuff in the background which isn't affecting the
functioning or performance.. Following the Priority Chart I end up at Low
Trivial ;-)

I would even consider to High Critical.. but that's more guessing about the
commonness..

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124573] Printer extremely slow for each page with anything but normal print setting

2019-04-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124573

Per request, I reset the user profile according to the directions, running
LibreOffice in safe mode. Problem was identical. I tried printing three
copies in "fast normal" mode. It took 1 minute 35 seconds before the first
copy began to print, the second copy began printing at the 3:20 mark after a
long delay with no printing, and the 3rd copy did not start printing until the
5:30 mark. Printing each individual page is slower, too, but the biggest issue
is that there's just such a huge delay between copies.
For comparison, when printing out of WordPad in "fast normal" mode, the
first page begins printing immediately, the second page starts in just ten
seconds, and the third page starts at the 20-second mark. So it's printing
much faster, with no delay at all between copies. And when printing a copy of
this webpage from Firefox in "fast normal" speed, the first copy began printing
after 1 second, the second at the 0:31 mark, and the third at the 0:55 mark.
So it still seems to me that there's something amiss with the printing
engine (or whatever it's called now) within LibreOffice.

  Reporter: dal...@hotmail.com

Description:
I had a larger number list and needed to remove the numbers to restructure some
of the document. It was not obvious or intuitive. I went to the numbers icon,
but there was no none option to remove all numbers from highlighted text.

It was in the more numbers section, but that requires extra clicks, and at work
modifying this kinds of things all day (technical/procedure writer), this extra
click ads up. IMHO, a none option right in the Icon would be best.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click the numbers icon and see that there is no none option.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
You must click the more numbering after clicking the numbers icon, then click
none.

Expected Results:
Click the number or bullets icon, and have a none option right there, just like
Word.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Enhancement request for efficiency of those that live in documents all day that
re-modify number structures to fit formatting as the document grows.
Word has this, and I think Libre should too.
Thank you.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124723] New: Calc: Paste special/paste special/ values from formula with or without formatting adds ' to value/result.

2019-04-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124723

Bug ID: 124723
Summary: Calc: Paste special/paste special/ values from formula
with or without formatting adds ' to value/result.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dal...@hotmail.com

Description:
I created a series of formulas to lean how to do this stuff in Libre, since i
only know Excel. Pasting a formula as a value with or without formatting adds a
' to the value, breaking it when using SUM, not to mention it should NOT be
there.

(A1) Remnux , 30 Gig (C1) =FIND(",",A1,1) (D1) =LEN(A1) (E1) =RIGHT(A1, D1-C1)
(F1) =TRIM(E1) (G1) =LEFT(F1,3) (H1) =TRIM(G1)

Copy the final formula, and paste in as a value, and I get '30 NOT 30.

Note, B1 is my hand value of 30, and is not used in my formulas.

It does not matter if you choose keep formatting or not. I choose just numbers
too, and it did not resolve the issue.

In the main spreadsheet: I forced all cells to numbers, which they already
were. Did not help.

I am running this on a new laptop running Ubuntu 18.04 (all software updated)
(Dell XPS 13).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put in my values and formulas above.
2. Copy the 30 in G1 (which is still a formula)
3. Right click and paste special/paste special/values

Actual Results:
'30

Expected Results:
30

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Copied the value of the formula, which was just the value 30.

I did this on a series of info, not just the one example I gave you. All failed
by adding the ' to the value

I copied as unformatted text, and it pasted in just the values, the way copy
values should have worked.

I think it's not an enhancement, it's a bug, for me now (LO 6.3):

1. Create a table in Impress
2. Enter anything in first cell of table
3. Press Enter key -> cell increases its height
4. Click on another cell in same row and enter anything there
5. Press Enter key repeatedly -> cell doesn't increase its height
6. If you click out of table or inside another cell then cell increases its
height

I thought that someone had found a solution and fixed this but that it was
going to take some time to get into production.

It still isn't working in the alpha build and I've been using it on the hope
that it would be the first to get fixed. This is very important functionality
for me. I have to be able to link spreadsheets.

Thanks.

LibreOffice cannot do anything like continuous breaks, so any document using
them instead of section page breaks will have terrible compatibility.

Marking as duplicate since it deals with the same thing - import and export are
irrelevant.

This document very clearly should have a section page-break instead of a
section - continuous break at the bottom of the first page.

Attaching an extraction of the column layout of just the rotated Text Box used
for the spine, note the Gentium Book Basic will receive fall back. But the text
span holding the U+2726 BLACK FOUR POINTED STAR glyph will receive fallback.

The glyph is in a text span different from author & title strings, also a font
change--so not too suprising it get mispositioned. Draw Text Boxes,
particularly when rotated, are error prone.

For OP, work around would be the separate the three strings into 3 separate
Text Boxes--rotate the author and title. But not the start. That should fix the
anchors for all.

commit 50bf96d31ab2eb546f6c71cc93c1fa5dd4bf3044

bug 90697 docx - don't change continuous break into page break
As soon as you set PROP_PAGE_DESC_NAME, you are inserting that
style as a page break. Setting a pagebreak via a continuous break
was first introduced in commit 50cb1667020494906afaacb68d4163d1eda527cf
but the unit test for that commit no longer uses this code.
I'm suggesting it be reverted. It really messes up round-tripping
when continuous breaks are removed/replaced with hard page breaks.

There are a few odd cases where the very first section needs to set the
page break via the continuous break, so it hasn't been eliminated
completely.

Leaving this issue open since the title is still accurate - section margins
still need work. Use the document in comment 3 instead. See the patches for

Probably the label should be changed to "Protect Forms (depricated - create
write-protected sections instead)"

likely the commit in comment 6 should be reverted. People will just need to
learn not use "Protect Form" as a shortcut for making form documents in LO.

Thanks Dieter for looking at this so quickly. I notice this in ‘fresh’ on
Manjaro and though that I should check in a stable older version. So yes, it’s
still there. The fresh version I’m using on manjaro is 6.2.2.2
In the last half an hour I’ve played around with it a bit more and I can see
now that it’s intermittent in that auto correct works while typing until you go
back and change something that was auto corrected and then it breaks so that
even first letter of new sentence doesn’t capitalise.
So I’m going to set this back to unconfirmed like you suggest.

Thanks again for taking a look so quickly.
Regards,
Greg

sectProt_section0-notEnforced.docx: forms protection NOT enabled

Round-tripping loses all information about which sections Word had marked as
protected. That makes sense because Word has a "kill switch" which turns off
all protection. LO previously had the opposite "force complete protection"
compatibility switch "Protect Forms". So, on import we have to mark every
section as not-protected when "Protect Forms" is off. Either the section
protection setting will need to be grabbag'd for round-tripping, or else
"Protect Forms" will need to be changed into a kill switch.

So, this isn't actually terrible. Rarely would someone pass around a
section-protected document with protection disabled. And if they do want to
protect it again, they just need to tick which sections are protected again.
