You never know which website can give you a malware wrecking your files apart,
infecting them with the virus. So you should be knowing how to activate the
Norton product key for a better protection. Once done this right, you can very
well cope-up with the virus coming along with the websites.

Seems ill conceived, how exactly would one "enter" the U+2212 MINUS SIGN
Unicode glyph? Normal keyboard input/keysym inputs the U+002D HYPHEN-MINUS
Unicode glyph/

The 0x2212 glyph, from the Mathematical Operators Unicode BMP, is generally a
typographic symbol.

Also, glyph appearance is totally controlled by the font selected. LO default
is Open Symbol which has some weight issues, but you can work in alternate
fonts that have better agreement between the "+" 0x002b and "-" 0x002d glyphs.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100772] Draw/Impress: "Delete Table" in context menu and toolbar

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

(In reply to andreas_k from comment #4)
> DeleteTable is already in the draw/impress context menu available, but
> didn't show in the UI.
It doesn't show in the context menu, but it does show in the customization
dialog, but as a "ghost" item - w/o a label. You can see that under
Table|Delete and Table Text|Delete, if you click a bit below the "Delete
Column" item. There is also a similar problem with some commands under
Table|Size and Table Text|Size. A quick fix might be to move these commands to
GenericCommands.xcu, so at least they will have a label in the dialog. But
better to not add commands that don't work in the first place.

I'm going crazy. I don't know what I did to an existing document to fix it, and
it didn't take all that long to fix it, and after fiddling with another new
document and paying attention to every step, could not get rid of the white
line.

I've attached my testing steps.

I can attach a screenshot, but what do you expect to see there? My point was
just to showcase the behavior of combining two xml files into one toolbar, and
changing that toolbar dynamically based on the context, and not to show any
particular UI arrangement. I used existing toolbars for demonstration purposes,
but similarly it could be done with dedicated xml files.

Non-linear solvers are pretty complicated and that is why the interface is
simplified. Not equal condition can be implemented in the model with the usage
of IF and NOT functions. Yes, it requires a little bit more efforts in building
of the model, but the final goal can be achieved.

All four "pour" types shapes with screenshots

Open attached document. It has on the left side shapes and on the right side a
screenshot, how it looks in PowerPoint.

The shape types "textArchDownPour", "textArchUpPour", "textButtonPour" and
"textCirlePour" looses the values of the adjustment guide ('Handle') on import
and default values are used.

If you drag the handles, you can set them to the same position as in the
screenshot. So the handle is able to have such position. But the existing
values are not read on import.

At first glance, it looks as if these types are missing in the list in
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/oox/source/drawingml/shape.cxx?r=fdf4aaa3#579.
But I have not tested it yet.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Description:
Would be good if the real minus character (`−`, U+2212) would work as a minus
prefix, like the current dash does. If I for example write my numbers with the
real minus (like `−1`), Calc handles the number as text instead of like a
number. Also the numbers would look better, as the real minus has exact the
same width as the plus sign.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Format a cell number-specific (like number "# %")
2. Type −1 in that cell

Actual Results:
Cell is handled like text and "# %" isn’t applied.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125045] Bibliography: Introducing a filter for "type" attribute

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125045

I've reviewed the entry #121958 and I think it is a good direction.
But the requirement in this entry here is not covered?
The Use Case is here, to devide the bibliography (table) in the document layout
in different parts. In this way it would be possible to make the following:

a) eg. insert two bibliography (tables/sections) for books and internet
ressources (or something like that) in one document layout

b) generate a user specific "bibliography" perhaps for figures/pictures with
the flexibilty to use attributes (coming out of the database or XML model)

For b) it would be possible to generate documents with the figure description
like a bibliography entry and generate a bibliography (table) as a "Table of
Figures"
This would be very helpfully in context of scientific documents (according to
specific rules of some universities)...

It would be fine, if it would be possible to add this (may be simple?) type
filter to the current and/or reworked version of the bibliography
dialog/system.

Seeing the bt, it gives me no hint :-( but perhaps someone else may have some
idea.
Anyway, I don't know if it's the same pb as Victor's but could you give a try
to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps?

Under Unity there is no X button to close the current document.

>From my understanding, the X button appears only if there is only one open
document. Its background being the same as the background of the toolbar, I
find it much more visible this way. Additionally that shows that this button
close the current document, not LibreOffice.

For me it is NotABug or WontFix.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125065] New: Enhancement: I want an entry field added to be able to change the default amount of indent for the Increase Indent button in LibreOffice Writer, Calc, and any othe

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125065

Bug ID: 125065
Summary: Enhancement: I want an entry field added to be able to
change the default amount of indent for the Increase
Indent button in LibreOffice Writer, Calc, and any
other LibreOffice programs that already contain an
Increase Indent button.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugrepor...@gmail.com

Description:
Enhancement AKA New Feature Request: I want an entry field box to type a number
into, that changes the default amount of indent for the Increase Indent button
in LibreOffice Writer, in LibreOffice Calc, and all other LibreOffice programs
that have an Increase Indent button. The Increase Indent button is already on
the toolbar in both the LibreOffice Writer and Calc programs.

To be clear, I don't want to define a style.

I am asking that the LibreOffice development team build in an entry field box
where I can, in the future, type in a number (i.e. 0.125 inches) that the
LibreOffice Writer or Calc program would always use every time I press the
Increase Indent button on the toolbar in that LibreOffice program.

Right now, the Increase Indent button on the toolbar always indents by 0.5
inches. It uses 0.5 inches, regardless of how my tabs are set, regardless of
how styles are set, etc. Instead, I want an entry field box where I could
change the number of inches that Increase Indent button indents each time I
pressed the button again.

For example, if one day I want the Increase Indent button in LibreOffice Writer
to default to 0.125 inches, I would type 0.125 into the new entry field box and
it would indent an additional 0.125 inches every single time I pressed the
Increase Indent button from then on. If, on a different day, I wanted the
Increase Indent button to default to 1 inch every time I pressed that Increase
Indent button, I would type 1 into the new entry field box, and then the
Increase Indent button would always default to indenting an additional 1.0
inches every time I pressed the Increase Indent button from then on, until I
changed it again in the future. If on a third day, I was in LibreOffice Calc,
and I pressed the Increase Indent button in LibreOffice Calc, LibreOffice would
use the same setting of 1 inch that I had set it for in LibreOffice Writer the
previous day.

I don't want to define a paragraph style. I want the Increase Indent button to
use the same amount of whatever number of inches I tell it, every single time I
press the Increase Indent button. I want one place, one new entry field box,
where I could just enter the number and have that Increase Indent button indent
that same amount of inches, every single time that Increase Indent button is
pressed in either LibreOffice Writer or LibreOffice Calc.

Thanks.

Actual Results:
Right now, every time I press the Increase Indent button in LibreOffice Writer,
it indents by an additional 0.5 inches every time I press the Increase Indent
button. I have my tabs set how I want them to 0.125 inches = 1/8 inches. The
Increase Indent button still indents by 0.5 inches which is not what I want.

Expected Results:
Once the new enhancement of a new entry field box was added to LibreOffice
Writer, Calc, and any other programs that already have an Increase Indent
button on their toolbar, and once I typed 1/8 (inch) = 0.125 (inches) into that
new entry field box for the Increase Indent button's default function, then
every time I pressed the Increase Indent button, in either LibreOffice Writer
or Calc, it would increase the indent by an additional 1/8 inch = 0.125 inch
exactly each time I pressed the Increase Indent button. If I wanted it to
increase exactly 0.25 inches, I would press the Increase Indent button twice.
If I wanted it to increase exactly by 3/8 of an inch = 0.375 inches, I would
press the Increase Indent button 3 times.

If, on a different day, I typed a new number of 2.25 inches into the new entry
field box for Increase Indent, then now it would indent to 2.25 the first time
I pressed the Increase Indent button, and it would indent to 4.5 inches the
second time I pressed the Increase Indent button.

If, one month later, I typed 0.41 into the new entry field box for the Increase
Indent button, it would indent by 0.41 inches the first time I pressed the
Increase Indent button. It would indent by 0.82 inches the second time I
pressed the Increase Indent button. It would increase to 1.23 inches the third
time I pressed the Increase Indent button.

Reproducible: Always

In fact, the content has the correct size, but the page has the incorrect size.

Seems like it is caused by a combination of depending on the content size while

Description:
In the current master, the cells in which the thousands separator is set are
shown in Liberation Serif font if the value is greater or equal to 1000.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached bugdoc in LO 6.2
2. All cells are shown in blue Carlito 12 font
3. Open the attached bugdoc in current master: values greater or equal to 1000
are shown in black Liberation Serif 12.
4. Select one from these cells and uncheck "thousands separator" in the cell
format (from the right click menu or the tab Properties in the sidebar.
5. the changed cell becomes blue Carlito 12
6. check again "thousands separator" for this cell and it becomes black
Liberation Serif 12.

Actual Results:
Thousands separator inhibits the applied format, at least colour and font.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124230] FILESAVE PPTX: Custom Animations Sound Lost on Roundtrip

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124230

Mark,
Thanks for banging on this. It's better, but still not quite right. If you open
the roundtripped file in PowerPoint, the animation sound, wind.wav, is no
longer associated with the animation. If you play the slideshow the sound only
plays once out of sync with the animation. If you repeat the animation with the
arrow keys, the sound does not play.

To see this:
1. In PP, start the roundtripped slide show
2. Press space, (sound should play)
3. Press back arrow
4. Go to 2.

Native files exported to PPTX do not have this issue. Also in both Impress and
PP, the animation preview is broken. So, could this be a FILEOPEN bug?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125062] New: Export as PNG with transparency changes shape of objects radically

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125062

Bug ID: 125062
Summary: Export as PNG with transparency changes shape of
objects radically
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: de...@dkeats.com

Description:
If you choose export to PNG without background transparency, then the images is
exported as expected with the correct aspect ratio. However,if you choose to
export with transparency, then the area covered by objects on the canvas is
exported, not the whole canvas, and the objects are then changed in aspect to
match the chosen aspect ratio. The result is not usable.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a canvas of (say) 1920 x 1080
2. Place objects on the canvas
3. Choose FIlE |EXPORT
4. Choose foobar.png as the file name
5. Under Drawing Objects on the dialog, choose Save transparency
6. Click OK.

Actual Results:
The image is saved but the objects on the canvas are stretched to match the
dimensions of the canvas, and the canvas is not shown at all.

Expected Results:
The image would be exported with the same size as the canvas, without showing
the canvas (background), but retaining the dimensions and aspect ratio chosen.

Reproducible: Always

So does fix for bug 62268 need revisit?

Seems if all rows with cells are assigned the
"style:use-optimal-row-height='true'" we're doing the correct thing of parsing
each row before rendering.

Isn't issue then that all rows of a close to empty sheet receive that style as
default? It sets them to default, but parses each for cell content--expensive.

Simple fix might be to change default row style to
"style:use-optimal-row-height='false'"--and only explicitly set it for rows
with cell content?

(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #9)
> @Maxim, Samuel -- any thoughts on comment 3, idea of pushing toolbars
> activated as context onto a Sidebar content panel?
Sorry, but I don't like this idea. IMHO everything which is in the sidebar by
default, should be done in a "sidebar way" - meaning having dedicated and
carefully designed panels/decks. The sidebar already deals with context-related
stuff in its "Properties" deck - that what it was designed for, with panels for
text, images, shapes etc. And likewise there should be panels for all other
contexts (e.g. tables in Writer), not just as a generic "toolbar inside a
sidebar container" kind solution. And bug 33223 is unrelated, because it talks
about some customization possibility, while here we talk about the default
sidebar behavior wrt contextual commands.

So I agree with Andreas that the sidebar mode should consist of a standard
toolbar (which also server as a place for customization, as the sidebar itself
isn't and won't be customizable to the level of toolbars) + the sidebar, and no
other context toolbars popping ever.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125061] New: LibreOffice extension LanguageTool causes CPU usage to skyrocket

2019-05-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125061

Bug ID: 125061
Summary: LibreOffice extension LanguageTool causes CPU usage to
skyrocket
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Extensions
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hamilton@gmail.com

Description:
CPU usage spikes to 110-130% (across 4 cores) when a large document (~260
pages, mainly text) is opened.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LanguageTool extension
2. Open large file
3. Observe sustained spike in CPU usage and fan spin up
4. Close file
5. Observe CPU drop and fan spin down

Actual Results:
When LanguageTool is installed, opening a large document will send
LibreOffice's CPU usage skyrocketing. After a few minutes (depending on the
size of the
document), the usage does eventually drop back down below 5% again.

When uninstalled, opening a large document inhibits a short spike in CPU
usage, but quickly drops off.

Expected Results:
Small spike in CPU usage while opening, overall slight increase in CPU usage,
total to remain >5%

I don't really know what I did, but I added kown -> know to the Autocorrect
list.
It was initially working fine (I had Autocorrect while typing on)
I then disabled that, and it did work when I clicked Apply and edit changes.
Then I don't exactly remember what I did and it stopped working. I verified the
autocorrect entry was still present

When I tried to do it again, it only works on konw, not Konw, but otherwise
seems to work fine (apart from inserting line breaks on it's own), see upload.
I don't remember if my initial testing was using Konw or konw, or both.
