[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125746] New: Options menu takes too long to open

2019-06-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125746

Bug ID: 125746
Summary: Options menu takes too long to open
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: framework
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com

Description:
In recent versions of LibO (would not be able to say how recent), the
Tools->Options menu is now taking a long time to open (~ 5 seconds) on the
machine I am on right now, a DELL Precision T5400 workstation which is not
extremely modern but that should still be more than adequate.

Not only this seems a little too long, no visual feedback is provided while you
wait for the options dialog to pop out, so you get the impression that
tools->options does not work.

Steps to Reproduce:
See description

Actual Results:
See description

Expected Results:
See description

Reproducible: Always

Issue with the "Edit properties before saving"...

Patches [1] for bug 117895 problem commit [2] did not correct this mishandling
of the "Edit properties before saving" used with "show PDF after creation".

Also have issue of bug 119206 where those STR with "edit properties before

Another thing I noticed in the last bt retrieved is "Breeze".

Just for the test, could you try to reproduce this with another UI theme

Strangely, the bug occurs when dealing with *.odt files.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125745] New: Regression: issues with contextual menus in LibO 6.3 beta

2019-06-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125745

Bug ID: 125745
Summary: Regression: issues with contextual menus in LibO 6.3
beta
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.beta1+
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com

Description:
When one opens a contextual menu with a right click, moving up and down through
the menu entries leaves the entry highlighting behind (that is moving up the
new upper entry gets highlighted but the previous entry does not stop being
highlighted, so you get multiple menu entries that all seem "active").

For instance, moving the mouse slowly you can get the "blue background" on all
the entries in the row menu in calc, etc.

Seems to happen both with opengl rendering and regular hardware acceleration.

Does not seem to depend on the graphics card, since I see it both on Intel and
Nvidia.

Seen on

place in both slides, while on another PC slide 20 renders correctly! Some of
the text is upside down in slide 26

In 6.4 Master slide 20 renders correctly but the lines are still all over the
place in slide 24. Again, some of the text is upside down in slide 26.

Attempting to edit the upside down text in slide 26 results in a text entry box
which is one column wide running down the length of the text.

I gave it a try with another rendering (gen, as you advised), now it doesn't
produce a core dump, but still gets an abort signal nevertheless when trying to
double click on "Additional formats...". So I tried then with qt5, which does
the same as gen: no core dump, but the abort signal remains.

Following up on bug 125739 "Bullets and Numbering's Linked graphics no longer
links to the external file, embeds it into odt instead":

Starting with (as seen with bibisect of
)

"Make linked graphic register into LinkedManager again" towards LO 6.1:

When opening an odt (that was produced with a LO <= 6.0 version unaffected by
bug 125739) that contains bullets with graphics linked to (at least local
file-system) files, those graphic bullets are now missing from the bulleted
paragraphs.

See bug 125739 comment 0 for a recipe how to generate such a document.
(Because the document will reference a graphic file in the local file system,
there is little use in attaching a sample such document here.)

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #8)
> If this will be included we can in fact think about a different UI.

If what will be included? LibreOffice already includes the functionality that
the future standard will standardize. And IIUC, the standardized behavior fully
matches what is implemented in LO, no more, no less... please correct me if I
am wrong.

> (o) No Footer/Header
>
> ( ) Footer/Header equally on all pages
> ( ) Footer/Header different for left/right pages
> [x] Extra footer/header on first page
>
> ( ) Footer/Header only on the first page

So, looking at this, I see problems:
1. The "[x] Extra footer/header on first page" looks like (a) it applies
exclusively to "( ) Footer/Header different for left/right pages" (while in
fact, it applies to both options above it); and (b) its wording makes
impression as if unchecking it *removes* the header from the first page (while
in reality, it makes first page header same as other pages). Or - alternative
reading of the wording: "in addition to standard header, first page will get
second extra header"? :-)
2. "( ) Footer/Header only on the first page" is impossible.

I feel that current UI is ~optimal. It leaves no doubt that the only two
possible states are (1) header absent (on all pages of this style), and (2)
header present (on all pages of the style). It makes no doubt that the other
two checkboxes are independent on each other (you may independently choose
different l/r and different first page); and they explicitly only speak about
different/same *content*, not presense. Any other, more fine-grained control
over the headers/footers should only be done using different page styles, which
gives invinite power in that regard.

With the Colibre icon theme similar functions on the Track Changes toolbar have
very different icons, while distinct functions have similar icons, making the
toolbar confusing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a document with text
2. Do two separate changes
3. Enable View – Toolbars – Track Changes and look at the icons

Actual results:
Accept Track Change button has a “green tick mark” icon, Accept All Tracked
Changes button has “two blue tick mark on a document” icon.
Manage Track Changes button has “blue tick mark on a document” icon.
Reject Track Change and Reject All Tracked Changes buttons have similar icons:
one and two red X marks on a document – that’s good!

Expected results:
Accept Track Change and Accept All Tracked Changes button should have similarly
colored and styled icons, while Manage Track Changes button should have a more
distinct one from these.
For reference there is no such problem with Breeze, Elementary, Sift and Tango.

Adding a column to a table squeezes existing columns.
And this is enhancement request that adding a column to a table should enlarge
table width for o new column.
If page width is reached, only then columns should be squeezed.
This is more UX but looks reasonable, so I'll confirm.

Given all this, I think I'll just revert my patch in the 6.2 branch so that it

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125609] radiobutton receives item status changed event after listbox value selection

2019-06-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125609

Created attachment 151964
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=151964=edit
patch125609.diff: debug and almost-fix

Test the following situations:
-only one radio-button form control - no infinite loops
-a checkbox and only one radio-button - again no infinite loops
-test against uiwriter/data2/tdf108687_tabstop.odt - multiple groups

The debug indicates that there are NO identified groups in OP's example
document (which is incorrect of course. The buttons have the identical name,
which is the old-school way of grouping radio buttons). So that suggests there
are more things messed up here. If the groups where OK, then this patch should
work. (However, there are still other things at play, since in LO 6.2, just
verifying that radio-button1 is selected is enough to "fix" the problem. I
think that the act of selecting it removes the tabstop from all others. How it
knows which radio-buttons to de-tabstop is still a mystery to me.)

Simple message boxes should not have a help button because its supposed to be
simple and do not need it. So if we introduce such a reference it has to be a
link underneath the text. Rather than pointing to the wiki I'd prefer a proper
help page, though. And of course accessed via hub.libreoffice.

I have exported from the European Union official site, so I thought it was a LO

Let's resolve this. Storing the path in the document is a security/privacy
issue. And actually I'd say working on multiple open documents that access a
lot of images from different sources is not a frequently situation.

In Writer, "Format - Bullets and Numbering... - Customize - Number: Linked

Instead of the odt's content.xml containing a

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125736] New: Writer: adding a column to a table disfigures the table

2019-06-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125736

Bug ID: 125736
Summary: Writer: adding a column to a table disfigures the
table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: christianw_lehm...@arcor.de

Description:
Adding a column to a table squeezes existing columns.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have the cursor in a table.
2. Choose 'Table > insert > Columns after'
3. The column is added at the right of the table.

Actual Results:
The table width is conserved, so the width of all the existing columns shrinks,
and their content is squeezed.

Expected Results:
The table width should increase by the width of the new column, leaving the
existent columns intact.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
This behavior is independent of the option chosen in Options > Libre Office
Writer > Table > Behavior of rows/columns. (As a result, it is unclear what
these options are good for.)
If I remember correctly, this bug is not new in LO 6.2.4.2.
This bug is related to my earlier bug report 113604: Optimize column width
should be persistent.

You can do it by launching LibreOffice from commandline with
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen /soffice

REM You need a resultset oResult from a database query to reproduce this,
sorry...

Function Read_oResult(oResult AS Object)
'reads a ResultSet from a Database query and gives an array back (only the
first row of a resultset)

DIM var()
DIM count_columns AS Integer
DIM i AS Integer
DIM sDataTyp_Row AS String

DIM n as Integer
DIM count_rows as INTEGER

'retrieve the number of rows
oResult.last

oResult.beforefirst
if count_rows = 0 then
Read_oResult = null
else

count_columns = oResult.columns.count
for i = 0 to count_columns-1
'see bugreport
ttps://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114464
' inserted the next line with no use but only
if inserted, oResult.columns.ElementNames(i)).TypeName works
' I need the datatype later to read the data
with oResult.getInt...etc.
' to reproduce - just comment the next line
out

oResult.columns.getByName(oResult.columns.ElementNames(i)).Type

sDataTyp_Row =
oResult.columns.getByName(oResult.columns.ElementNames(i)).TypeName

print sDataTyp_Row

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125735] New: Limit access to Action_RemoveView

2019-06-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125735

Bug ID: 125735
   Summary: Limit access to Action_RemoveView
   Product: LibreOffice Online
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jul...@nextcloud.com

The Action_RemoveView post message is currently available for all sessions. I
think it would make sense to enforce possible access limitations to sessions,
so that e.g. guest users / read only users cannot remove others from the
editing document.

I could not find anything related in the WOPI specs, so I would propose
we add a custom entry to the CheckFileInfo:

UserCanModerate:
A Boolean value that indicates that the user has permission to
remove other users from the editing session
