Dear Andy Goth,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117516] Linked table in Writer can't be reduced to a smaller size when reducing range

2019-06-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117516

Dear Aron Budea,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125807] New: Visual artifacts with specific document when scrolling

2019-06-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125807

Bug ID: 125807
Summary: Visual artifacts with specific document when scrolling
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Created attachment 152059
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=152059=edit
A document which gives visual artifacts when scrolled

Trying to scroll down and up the document gives visual artifacts.

On the screencast https://youtu.be/ZYyxc2Ql96U, it's visible e.g. that the page
break does not go outside the visible area, despite it should (note the
scrollbar movement); scrollong down, resizing window, then scrolling up makes
more glitches.

Tested with Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: fe977ec07087b103de8c809597fdaea8dd629837
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

OS UI scaling is 150%.

I can confirm this behavior started with the fix of bug 101086, however I think
the fundamental problem here is that the autofilter dropdown doesn't support
DPI scaling properly, at least at 125%.

See the attached comparison screenshot, and note how:
- in one case the 'Sort Ascending' to 'Standard Filter...' entries aren't
scaled (this is the view before the patch and the view after hovering over the
items with the patch),
- in the other case the entries are scaled, but don't fit in place.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89853] When opening .PPTX impress file, and then resaving as .PPT, the shapes will all be lost

2019-06-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89853

The shapes get the type "ooxml-foo" and the actual formulas and paths are used,
when import from pptx. Such way not only preset shapes but also custom geometry
shapes can be read. The formulas work with values relative to actual width and
height and angles in 1/6 degree.

Shapes from binary MS Office files get a type mso-sptFoo or the type
identifier, which our own shapes use, on import. Formulas are not imported, but
preset definitions are used. Only adjustment values are imported. But these use
for angles simple degree and for length values in range 0..21600. Our own
custom shapes are handled the same way.
The ppt export expects this situation and cannot use the types "ooxml-foo".

It would be necessary to convert the "ooxml-foo" shapes on export. Such
conversion would be similar to the conversion done for the
WordArt-transformation von OOXML on import. Those are converted to the
corresponding ones from MS binary format on import. Therefore the problem does
not exist for these WordArt shapes.

Mapping tables for the types are in /core/filter/source/msfilter/util.cxx.
Converting the modifier values need some care, because the reference base might
be different in OOXML and binary MS Office.

But do we really want to work on _export_ filters for an old binary file
format? We have already dropped export to the binary StarDivision formats
(.sdd) and to the XML-formats of OpenOffice.org1.0 (.sxi).

Yes- to Problem is still alive.
Version: 6.2.4.2 (x64)

I do not know how to show you this problem.
Im am not abolutely shure that it is not my laptop.

On the other hand: Other applications do not show this problem.
I again reproduced:
LO works fine (not fully correct - have to make a new different bug report
NOW). Close my laptop and with this it is going into some energy saving mode
(without dumping these big files).
Opening the laptop,
typing my login,
starting LO writer and then it's not possible to mark several characters with
my mouse.
Multiple clicks allow to mark words or sentences.
But NO single characters.

If I try this here in www-address of firefox - no problem: umentf is copied
out.
This would be NOT possible with LO writer.

Now I have to restart the Laptop and it works.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125806] New: Broken UI in Writer after pasting website contents

2019-06-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125806

Bug ID: 125806
Summary: Broken UI in Writer after pasting website contents
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m.wegh...@posteo.de

Created attachment 152054
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=152054=edit
Screencast showing the issue

Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 58a095ac31b9db967fa4529f5d072e0d01e32f33
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Steps to reproduce:

1) start Writer
2) open in Firefox: https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/language/copy_assignment
3) select all webite content (Ctrl+A), copy (Ctrl+C)
4) switch to Writer window, paste (Ctrl+V)

Result:

* document is displayed strangely
* scrolling doesn't really work and makes the display even worse

Further notes:

* The behaviour is similar when using the kde5 VCL plugin instead of gtk3.
* This works fine with libreoffice-6-2 branch.
* Tested Debian testing, with KDE Plasma (X11)
* The behaviour is also/still strange when opening the document after saving.

This is where I am getting stuck. Every time a control is added, it
inefficiently re-creates everything, except it doesn't run after the last
control is added.

toolkit/source/controls/stdtabcontroller.cxx:79: ::ImplCreateComponentSequence
model[0x55e5040e19d8][2}of[3] FindControl for it. Controls[2]

So here, it found controls for two of the three models. Apparently the second
radiobutton hasn't been created with a control yet, so it sees it as a
BehindLast window, and marks it as a new group. Any future attempt to
activateTabOrder fail without a peerContainer (after a resumeTabOrderUpdate).
toolkit/source/controls/stdtabcontroller.cxx:321: ::activateTabOrder

Two finger scrolling doesn't work for me at all, but border scrolling does, so

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125785] Pasting PNG images from the clipboard cause a long loop with no result

2019-06-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125785

First of all, I neglected to state earlier than I am using Xubuntu and the
Xfce4 desktop (Gnome-ish, GTK-based, but different).

My instructions for comment 3 are incorrect (apologies). I just followed the
comment 3 instructions as stated and no such anomaly appears. That's also what
I did earlier with my wife's Mac.

The problem is in step #2: Right-click followed by "copy image" does allow the
paste operation to work. True. However, I am using the Xfce4 Screenshot
application (xfce4-screenshooter 1.8.2-2) to first copy the image to the
clipboard; that fails as I described.

Why am I using a screenshot application you might ask?

Answer: In on-line courses that I take, there are times when I pause the video
to take a screenshot of a region of the video window to copy and paste into the
lecture transcript (E.g. a formula, an image of a rock formation).

In a nutshell: Both operations copy to the clipboard but Xfce4 Screenshot with
large-ish PNG images cause libreoffice to fail on the subsequent paste.
Something is going wrong in the clipboard. It might be a corrupted clipboard
image or it might be libreoffice failing on a boundary condition (?).

Could someone please try what I am doing in Windows AND in another Linux
distro?
* Open the libreoffice Writer document in comment 4.
* In your favorite browser, go to URL
https://www.coursera.org/specializations/gis-mapping-spatial-analysis
* Launch/invoke your OS screenshot application/widget/whatever.
* Snapshot the region of the whole image (3 people) on the right.
* Save the snapshot to the clipboard (not as a user disk file).
* Switch to the Libreoffice Writer window.
* Paste the clipboard contents into the open document.

Thank you very much.

On Windows 10 Home 64-bit en-US with

Verified user profile set with default Tools -> Options -> Languages Settings
-> Language: Date acceptance patterns of 'M/D/Y;M/D'

Enabling Chart OLE

Selecting and opening the x-axis dialog: on the Scale tab starting date and
ending date show 'MM/DD/', but on the dialog's Numbers tab the Date ->
Format Code is set to 'DDMMMYY' --which is the format the Chart shows.

With these settings:

using the spin buttons to adjust starting date, the actual date assigned is
erratic--flipping between MMDDYY and DDMMYY format--and looks like subsequent
button spin reparses the date while toggling back. Gets wrong dates as it
passes month threshold.

But, changing the X-Axis Numbers tab Date -> Format Code to 'YY-MM-DD' using
the spin button for the Scale cleanly increments and chart dates are correct
passing month boundaries.

So some weird juxtaposition of Date acceptance patterns and the Date format
used on chart axis?

"Yes, it opens the local installed Help" ... but checking the builds of
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF/
the help that opens is the locally installed *html version* help in a browser,
not the classic-format help that opens in our internal help viewer.

i.e. this is with "--with-help=html --without-helppack-integration" so the
extended help is just not there to be shown as that exists in the
classic-format stuff

So presumably this is globally across libreoffice and not specific to this one
random dialog.

If I make a different window active between pokes of the Up arrow, behavior
seems OK for one poke before reverting to described behavior. The behavior
seems symmetric in that poking the Down arrow can get you back to starting

Ongoing from bug 125624 working with attachment 151516 pagination with
paragraphs and headers/footers composed of mixed CJK and Western text runs
performs poorly. The UI will stop responding to scroll and page motions, and
the +G "Go to page" dialog will stop responding. Actual page composition
becomes corrupted.

Changing zoom level does not clear the corrupt page layout. Nor does changing
between view modes (Single page, multi-page, book view).

Pagination on initial opening is good, but advancing into the document (scroll
or page dn) and then backing up starts to degrade.

the whole block ? (i.e. is drag and drop working at all)
