If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! See the attached comparison screenshot, and note how: - in one case the 'Sort Ascending' to 'Standard Filter...' entries aren't scaled (this is the view before the patch and the view after hovering over the items with the patch), - in the other case the entries are scaled, but don't fit in place. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89853] When opening .PPTX impress file, and then resaving as .PPT, the shapes will all be lost
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89853 --- Comment #18 from Regina Henschel --- The shapes get the type "ooxml-foo" and the actual formulas and paths are used, when import from pptx. Such way not only preset shapes but also custom geometry shapes can be read. The formulas work with values relative to actual width and height and angles in 1/6 degree. Shapes from binary MS Office files get a type mso-sptFoo or the type identifier, which our own shapes use, on import. Formulas are not imported, but preset definitions are used. Only adjustment values are imported. But these use for angles simple degree and for length values in range 0..21600. Our own custom shapes are handled the same way. The ppt export expects this situation and cannot use the types "ooxml-foo". It would be necessary to convert the "ooxml-foo" shapes on export. Such conversion would be similar to the conversion done for the WordArt-transformation von OOXML on import. Those are converted to the corresponding ones from MS binary format on import. Therefore the problem does not exist for these WordArt shapes. Mapping tables for the types are in /core/filter/source/msfilter/util.cxx. Converting the modifier values need some care, because the reference base might be different in OOXML and binary MS Office. But do we really want to work on _export_ filters for an old binary file format? We have already dropped export to the binary StarDivision formats (.sdd) and to the XML-formats of OpenOffice.org1.0 (.sxi). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125785] Pasting PNG images from the clipboard cause a long loop with no result
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125785 --- Comment #7 from Richard Elkins --- First of all, I neglected to state earlier than I am using Xubuntu and the Xfce4 desktop (Gnome-ish, GTK-based, but different). My instructions for comment 3 are incorrect (apologies). I just followed the comment 3 instructions as stated and no such anomaly appears. That's also what I did earlier with my wife's Mac. The problem is in step #2: Right-click followed by "copy image" does allow the paste operation to work. True. However, I am using the Xfce4 Screenshot application (xfce4-screenshooter 1.8.2-2) to first copy the image to the clipboard; that fails as I described. Why am I using a screenshot application you might ask? Answer: In on-line courses that I take, there are times when I pause the video to take a screenshot of a region of the video window to copy and paste into the lecture transcript (E.g. a formula, an image of a rock formation). In a nutshell: Both operations copy to the clipboard but Xfce4 Screenshot with large-ish PNG images cause libreoffice to fail on the subsequent paste. Something is going wrong in the clipboard. It might be a corrupted clipboard image or it might be libreoffice failing on a boundary condition (?). Could someone please try what I am doing in Windows AND in another Linux distro? * Open the libreoffice Writer document in comment 4. * In your favorite browser, go to URL https://www.coursera.org/specializations/gis-mapping-spatial-analysis * Launch/invoke your OS screenshot application/widget/whatever. * Snapshot the region of the whole image (3 people) on the right. * Save the snapshot to the clipboard (not as a user disk file). * Switch to the Libreoffice Writer window. * Paste the clipboard contents into the open document. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125785 --- Comment #6 from Richard Elkins --- Just now I was not able to reproduce this issue with Libreoffice 4.3.something using my wife's Mac. Maybe it is an issue with one of the GTK or Gnome related packages E.g. libreoffice-gtk*, libreoffice-gnome. I am going to try reinstalling all of libreoffice solely from the web site after throwing away all the settings in my home directory. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125802 Bug ID: 125802 Summary: Paragraphs and header footers with complex font mix (CJK and Western) poorly performing page composition Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Ongoing from bug 125624 working with attachment 151516 pagination with paragraphs and headers/footers composed of mixed CJK and Western text runs performs poorly. The UI will stop responding to scroll and page motions, and the +G "Go to page" dialog will stop responding. Actual page composition becomes corrupted. Changing zoom level does not clear the corrupt page layout. Nor does changing between view modes (Single page, multi-page, book view). Pagination on initial opening is good, but advancing into the document (scroll or page dn) and then backing up starts to degrade. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
