For example, five cells in a row

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126186] Partially applied text style (Text Body)

2019-07-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126186

(In reply to Evan Greenup from comment #3)

Try these steps:
1. Create a new text document in Writer.
2. Set current paragraph style to Heading 1 (using "Set Paragraph Style"
control on Formatting toolbar, or Styles sidebar (F11), or default combination
of Ctrl+1).
3. Type "Heading", note that it's bold.
4. Press Enter to start new paragraph; note that its style is Text Body.
5. Type "Text", note that it's not bold.
6. Press Enter; set the new paragraph style to Heading 1 again
7. Press Ctrl+B (or toolbar's button Bold) *twice*: first removes bold, second
applies bold;
8. Type "Heading", note it's bold;
9. Press Enter to start new paragraph; note that its style is Text Body.
10. Type "Text", note that it's *bold* now.

This is the correct behavior. On step 7, you applied *direct character
formatting* on top of paragraph style; and when you started another paragraph,
with a different paragraph style, it didn't cancel the *direct character
formatting*.

Now again: please provide a sample document.

No the only place which firstly involved Bold is the Heading 1 line. when
finished typing heading 1. I just type enter in the previous version of
LibreOffice, it just simply become text body style. But in this version, all
the other format option switch to text body style except bold. I am wondering
if there is something wrong in control logic of bold.

Not yet correct (at least on Winodws builds).

Attachment 118328 should not be used to test with of course.

Attaching a new document after changes, with a set of Form Designed checkboxes
(default Liberation Serif fonts).

Also, resulting PDF export, and a screen clip of the PDF open in Adobe Reader.

Should note (that on Windows at least) the print preview also does not use the
0x2713, and like PDF export also gets a graphic object with a drawn "X" not a
font glyph.

Trying LO 6.2 on Debian 9 (Qt 5.7) with Plasma desktop, it didn't even try to
load qt5/kde5 VCL, but tried kde4 at once, so the qt5/kde5 case seems to be
covered there already.

kde4 as completely been removed for the upcoming 6.3 release.

Screenshots that show how the 32-bit LO has icon issues.

Reporting for LibreOffice 6.3 Beta 1, on Windows 10 (32-bit).

Description of problem:
The file explorer shows totally different style of icons for odt files.
This icon is not consistent with the icons for odp and ods files.
(They don't look like a family.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create some odt, ods and odp files,
2. View their icons in File Explorer.

Actual results:
1. All icons have different styles.
2. In particular, the icons for odt files are not even recognizable as
belonging to LibreOffice.

Expected results:
1. All icons should look similar (as if they belong to one family)
2. The LibreOffice logo should be prominent in all of them

**
Note that the icons for the same files appear just fine in the 64 bit version
of LibreOffice. The problem is there only in the 32-bit LibreOffice.

Both screenshots are attached for comparison.

Reduced it to 34 keys (Is that many?). Did not help. At least, after several
minutes, LO still hangs.

As Eike states comment 8, no overwrite of existing data (non-empty cells) by
double-click auto-fill handle, which was issue of bug 108209.

The safer usage--as implemented OOo--is to require *clear* (with ) of the
cell content after its selection. And only then allow auto-fill handle
double-click action--use case requiring one extra step but assuring data
integrity.

IMHO alternative option is not a needed enhancement => WF

Yes I forgot to mention that I expanded the cell as well but it was trivial,
otherwise you cant see the end of the content.
