Also reverted for 6.3.0. So this is now just a LO 6.4 bug which should be fixed
by comment 15's commit. However I just noticed that it seems to have exposed a
situation that crashes the example from comment 2 with an infinite loop of
state changes. Arggh.

Dear Jeffrey Green,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

Current master now contains the 102.11 build of OpenSymbol.

But the font from a master package will still need to be installed to
system--or system font fallback will occur. What Roman shows in comment 5 is
the Segoe UI fallback on Windows build until using the 102.11 build.

Packaging into the final 6.3.0.3 release build(s) will also do the update for
folks.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126470] New: Sheet doesn't compute formulas when XLSX is generated by Apache POI

2019-07-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126470

Bug ID: 126470
Summary: Sheet doesn't compute formulas when XLSX is generated
by Apache POI
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.6.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: wagner.shima...@gmail.com

Description:
If some API uses Apache POI to populate a XLSX spreadsheet (Microsoft Office
format) and this spreadsheet has formula in some cells, it doesn't compute the
values.
This same spreadsheet file is opened successfully by Microsoft Excel (2007,
2010, 2012 and Web), Google Docs, Apple Numbers and WPS Office. All them
computes correctly the formula in cells.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the example file from
https://drive.google.com/file/d/147DX3weDQS4ZX5g1LSaLl3RZIC1YSUuO/view?usp=sharing
2. Open this file with LibreOffice
3. Look the formula on cells B9 and C9 (it remais with value 0)
4. Open the same file in Microsoft Office (desktop or web), Apple Numbers (on
Mac) or WPS Office. All them will calculate the cell formulas.

Actual Results:

2019-07-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

I'll try the profile reset thing. Meanwhile, I've reproduced the bug on:

Windows 8
LibreOffice 5.0.2.2

So this is apparently not new. It looks like increasing the remove characters
count has a strong effect on whether there is a hit, but you also need to
increase one or the other of add or change characters when searching for "this
docummmt".

Presumably it's doing something like looking at each word in the document
individually but comparing it to the whole search string.

Comment on attachment 152866

Writer doc which shows change in table header and cells when adding new row

I created Attachment 152866 to show a similar malfunction:
I created a new document and a table with style "standard" (or may be
"default", I didn't check in English). I then created a new table style "demo",
which simply copies "standard", because it seems that the error occurs only
with table styles other than "standard" or "none".
I then created paragraph styles "demoHeading" and "demoCell" for the first and
second row, respectively, and applied them to these. That is the state you see
in the document.
Now place the cursor in the bottom right cell, and key Tab: the formattings
caused by these two paragraph styles will vanish.

Hi all,

I come back and I are ready now to modify Uno Api (mailmerge.py) to be
compatible with new SMTP servers technologie:
- The chosen port does not determine the security but only port...
- For security available choices are: None, TLS or SSL
- For Authentication available choices: None, Login, OAuth2
I know now how to create idl file, and compile them to rdb file...

I could try to do it now, but with some help to define the new method of idl
and want that this correction is produced as an extension compatible with
OpenOffice ...

I'm waiting for a reply, thank you.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126468] New: Unable to deselect 'Visible' flags in Base query

2019-07-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126468

Bug ID: 126468
Summary: Unable to deselect 'Visible' flags in Base query
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: har...@nimmo.de

Problem was discovered with LibreOffice (version 6.1.2.3) Base as client to a
backend Mariadb10 via MySQL(JDBC) connector.

Using the GUI query editor, an entire table as .* was entered into
into the query fields. Two of the table fields were added to the query and
selected 'ascending' for sorting for each of these 2
fields. It was however, not possible to deselect the 'Visible' flags
for these 2 sort fields. The behaviour means that the 2 fields will each now
appear twice when running the query. A Base Form based on this query did not
transfer the data from those fields back to the table, presumably because of
the above ambiguity.

On inspecting the SQL text of the query, a query of the
kind: SELECT * FROM ORDER BY ASC, ASC was
expected.

The actual text in the SQL editor was, however:
SELECT * .*, ., . FROM
. ORDER BY ASC, ASC

After deleting the text ', ., .'
from the SQL query, the query ran successfully, i.e. the extra fields were not
displayed in the query result. But on saving the query from the GUI again, the
deleted text was added again.

The source of the problem seems to be that the 'visible' flags in the extra
fields (i.e. duplicates of fields from .*) could not be deselected.

You are right. Not really broken, but not usable in your context. IsFontwork()
is defined as
bool SdrTextObj::IsFontwork() const
{
return !bTextFrame // Default is FALSE
 && GetObjectItemSet().Get(XATTR_FORMTXTSTYLE).GetValue() !=
XFormTextStyle::NONE;
}
in svx/source/svdraw/svdotext.cxx. I see it similar already in OOo1.1.5. That
was correct at that time, because Fontwork was not possible on text boxes.
Fontwork was changed sometime between OOo2.2 and OOo3.2 (I have only those to
test) so that it is applicable to text boxes too. But the function was not
adapted. The function is available as property for macros and people might rely
on it in its current form. Therefore I would not change the function.

Bug ID: 126467
   Summary: Memory leak, crushes OS
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: radim.ja...@pm.me

Description:
When you try to open a recently opened file (the dropdown arrow from the
FILEOPEN icon), from an empty calc spreadsheet, the program freezes and within
the next few seconds fills up your whole RAM, everything, until your pc is
unusable and you have to restart the pc.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Calc. You are in a an empty spreadsheet.
2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the file-open icon.
3. Watch your memory get filled up and your pc get unusable if you don't manage
to quickly kill the process.

I reproduced this on both my personal and my company pc (after a fresh install
of linux mint).

Actual Results:
LO freezes and your memory gets filled up, freezing your pc when it is full.

Expected Results:
At least for the program to crash and not jeopardizing all unsaved data on the
pc.
Ideally the recently opened file should just load. Either next to the unsaved
new doc, but it can be assumed that the empty spreadsheet can be discarded if
empty.

Reproducible: Always

¡Solucionado!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99497] an 'arc' saved in .docx becomes a filled closed shape

2019-07-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99497

The "arc" and the "circleCut" are not custom-shapes, but legacy shapes from the
toolbar "ovals" or single commands. In ODF they are not draw:custom-shape
elements but draw:circle or draw:ellipse elements. The OOXML format has
nothing, which corresponds to this kind of shapes. Therefore export of them to
OOXML will always only be a workaround.

We have several options:

(A) Export "arc" as prstGeom with preset type "arc". The import of such shape
works.
That approach has some downsides.
* Saving such OOXML shape in ODF uses the command G, which is not yet in the
standard and requires a private namespace. The ODF 1.2 conform path does not
result in an "arc" geometry.
* The current formulas in ODF use 'logwidth' and 'logheight', which MS does not
interpret.
* The legacy "arc" is stored as draw:circle or draw:ellipse in ODF, not as
draw:custom-shape. But OOXML preset shapes are always imported as
custom-shapes.
* The export of OOXML reset shape type "arc" to doc does not work in current
LibreOffice.
* Another difference is, that the legacy "arc" does not allow filling, but the
OOXML preset shape "arc" allows filling, resulting in a sector.

(B) Export "arc" as custGeom in OOXML format including adjustment handles. The
geometry needs to be defined. The geometry can be defined so, that it is never
filled. Problem are roundtrips, because there exists no generic export from ODF
formula syntax to OOXML formulas, because ODF formulas a more complex. It would
be needed to find a way, to write application information so, that they are not
removed by MS Office, to be able to detect, that this shape comes from an
"arc".

(C) Export "arc" as custGeom in OOXML format without adjustment handles, with
command "arcTo". MS Office uses this, if it opens an ODF file with draw:circle
or draw:ellipse shape. That results in command G, if the file is resaved to ODF
by LO. Same roundtrip problems as in (B).

(D) Export "arc" as custGeom in OOXML format without adjustment handles with
Bézier-curves. Those exist in OOXML and ODF. Same roundtrip problems as in (B).

Export in VML format is no option. VML is outdated. Current MS Office supports
it only partly and only in compatibility mode. And roundtrip will not work,
because export of VML inside OOXML is buggy in LibreOffice.

I think, that it was no good idea, to have legacy shapes inside the
custom-shape floaters at all. They behave too different.

We might consider to add a shape, that is equal to that shape we use on import
of preset shape type "arc" from OOXML. Only that I would use an ODF 1.2 conform
enhanced-path in addition to the path with command G. The command G will be in
ODF 1.4 (I estimate in five years), not in ODF 1.3. An additional problem is
the export to doc, which currently does not work for an imported OOXML preset
shape of type "arc". For our own shape, we might use a similar export to doc
format as for the legacy shapes. All together a large task.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126374

As I became more dexterous in English, I have come to realize that there is a
lot of semantic bleaching going on, especially when talking informally. For
instance, it’s common to use words such as “ridiculous” to mean something
*exceptional*, or “funny” to describe something that is *unusual*, or even
expressions like “silly billy” to express being *daring and unafraid*. At
first, I used to feel offended by the examples I mentioned, because in my
native Spanish their literal equivalents are only ever used unironically.
“Should” falls into this category: it comes to me when I am sure of something.

Bug ID: 126462
Summary: autocorrect replacement table bottom buttons position
has been changed
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@quipo.it

the buttons at the bottom of the autocorrect replacement table
(Tools/Autocorrect.../Autocorrect options) have alwayn been in this order:

Help - OK - Cancel - Reset
(see screenshot from LibO 6.1.3)

now the order is changed in:

Help - Reset - OK - Cancel
(see screenshot from LibO 6.2.5)

I don't know if this change was intended or not...
anyway is causing me a lot of annoyance since I often automatically click on
the second button, where OK has always been, but now I click on Reset.

changing the position of the OK button IMHO is not a good idea and alters daily
routine with ad UI which has always been like that for ages.

please revert to the original disposition

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126461] New: Include document name in message box when updating OLE links on open

2019-07-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126461

Bug ID: 126461
Summary: Include document name in message box when updating OLE
links on open
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: glo...@fbihome.de

Description:
If you open a OLE-linked document, LO will ask confirmation to update the
linked information on open. But this happens before the document shell has even
set the title of the shell, so a user has no way to know, what "This document"
really refers to. If you do this from the start center, the message box is
displayed even before there was any change to the shell, but you can see at
least which document was selected.

This is especially problematic if you have multiple open documents restored by
a session manager.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached writer document from the console, which OLE-links a Calc
or
1. Keep the document open, so it will be restored by the session manager

Actual Results:
You get a confirmation message box to update the links in "This document"

Expected Results:
The message box should include the referenced document name.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Also happens on master. The string doesn't contain a reference to the file
name.

Thanks for your excellent tests. They helped a lot in finalizing and verifying
my proposed patch.

> "Text along path" is a feature for paths and curves.
IsFontwork() is reporting false for this object, so it is still being
consolidated. I didn't see any way to differentiate it. Perhaps IsFontwork() is
broken.
