I guess making these handles optional (i.e. allowing the integrator to disable
them) should be a good compromise.

Please write a separate bug report for other improvements to the text selection
handles.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126556] New: AutoFilter options reset after changing active sheet.

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126556

Bug ID: 126556
Summary: AutoFilter options reset after changing active sheet.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sou...@yandex.ru

Description:
AutoFilter options reset after selecting another sheet for a while and then
choosing the previous one. When getting back to the place edited before, I see
that top arrows of the filtered columns are all grey, although the data remain
chosen and sorted. If I open the dialogue, all the checkboxes are checked on as
if these were not off before.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a table, fill in with values. I have got 18 columns * 450 rows.
2.Make AutoFilter, hide some values in some columns.
3.Go to another sheet, then go to the previous table.

Actual Results:
AutoFilter seems like no row is hidden. Yet they are.

Expected Results:
The top arrows of the appropriate columns become blue after hiding unwanted
values, and they must stay blue untill you uncheck the hidden values

Reproducible: Always

FTR, I can send patches on renaming, but I want to be sure there's an agreement
on the naming.

I think, maybe "Page Fields To Filter"? This would retain the "Page Fields"
text to cause less confusion, because PageFields is a property in UNO, I guess
it can't be as easily renamed.

Bug ID: 126555
Summary: UI: "Distribution…" menu is missing
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hi-an...@yandex.ru

According to wiki¹ and a video tutorial I found, it should be in context menu.
But it's not there, and tests of various similarly named options didn't yield a
similar result for me, i.e. doesn't look like it was renamed.

# Steps to reproduce

1. Open loimpress, press Cancel in "Templates" window to get past it
2. Put 2 rectangles on the slide
3. Select them both by holding Alt, and clicking each of them
4. Right click the selected rectangles

## Expected

There's a "Distribution…" menu to distribute objects evenly with relation to
each other.

## Actual

There's no "Distribution…" menu.

That's how floating point arithmetic works, for details see:

However, when you set the number format to Number / General, you should see a

Do not agree.

The 'Find' toolbar is state-full and recorded to user profile. Toggled on
(with +F) off with or button action--or via the View -> Toolbars ->
Find button action--and recorded to user profile just the same as any other
toolbar.

If it were the 'Find & Replace' dialog (toggled on with +H, and to
close) that would be an issue--but it is not.

This behavior as a toolbar is exactly correct. Close it if you are done with
it, otherwise it remains enabled.

Confirm.
For example in a document I have the sentence: "This is a paragraph."
And I am searching for how many "a" are there. I get "Selected: 1 word, 1
character"

If I click on "Find All" I get "Selected: 4 words, 4 characters".
Just now I get the real answer, but only about characters, not about words.
There are only 2 words containg "a", not 4.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the same menu opens the dialog always, allowing
the user to click Edit for existing header/footers.

(though it feels a bit inconsistent compared to other functions that have both
insert and edit in the menu..)

That doesn't seem logic to me..

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126553] New: Unable to open writer document stored with encryption

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126553

Bug ID: 126553
Summary: Unable to open writer document stored with encryption
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.2 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: heinrich.ha...@email.de

Description:
For more details see attached document (including screenshots)!

I am using Ubuntu 18.04.1 with LO Version: 6.0.7.3

I have been using seahorse to generate a new pgp-key

The Password I selected here was AundO_0-9.

I opened a little docum.odt containing some text and saved it with encryption

I press save
I am offered certificates
I select the certificat created before and press encrypt.
Now I have the following files:
I close LO-window with docu.pgp.odt, I try to reopen docum-pgp. I am prompted
for a password.
I enter the password given for passphrase „AundO_0-9“ but alas this is not
accepted.
I use again seahorse, select the certificate and try to change the passphrase.
I do not get an error when I give „AundO_0-9“ for current passphrase and I am
allowed to enter (twice) a new passphrase – so i think I verified the password.
What is wrong?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see description and attached file
2.
3.

Actual Results:
unable to reopen encrypted file

Expected Results:
file should be open for processing

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125921] All LO apps use the WM_CLASS value of "soffice.bin", so different apps get grouped, and it's impossible to pin more than one to the Plasma Task Manager

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125921

Hello,

I know this bug is marked as FIXED, and it is indeed mostly fixed, but I wanted
to ask here before opening a new bug:

I tested 6.3 (the AppImage version) and I noticed that, while top-level windows
do indeed change their WM_CLASS correctly now and therefore stay grouped, the
Open/Save file dialog still shows up as "soffice.bin" and as a result creates a
second entry in the taskbar when it is invoked, as if it were a separate
application, instead of being grouped with the LO app that invoked it.

If this is not some quirk of the AppImage format but the standard behavior of
LO 6.3, then shouldn't it be addressed as well?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126551] New: Copy and Paste failure

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126551

Bug ID: 126551
   Summary: Copy and Paste failure
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzi...@282k.com

Created attachment 152991
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=152991&action=edit
Original document test as seen in text above.

After installing LibreOffice 6.2.5.2, I found two problems. First, Clear
Formatting causes the text to revert to "default" instead of "Text Body".

But when I past something from my desktop software, WordSearchBible
(wordsearchbible.com) I get a blank "default" line.

Here is a paste from the Word Processor where I explain the issue:

==
LibreOffice Writer 6.2.5.2 Paste Failure
1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to
men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk to drink, not solid
food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet
able, 3 for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among
you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men? (NASB)

I started this document with the heading, hit return and got the Text Body
style. I pasted in the text as you see in the second paragraph. This only works
once. I skipped the third paragraph and started this forth paragraph. Below, I
enter 3 paragraphs (hit enter) and then paste the same copy into the middle
one.

You will see, the middle paragraph turned to Default Style, but there is no
text. In the next paragraph, I will copy and paste the 2nd paragraph two
paragraphs down. This will work.

(NASB)

If I paste special- text only, I get the text as you see below (I am using a
fresh copy)

1Co 3:4 For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are
you not mere men? 5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through
whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 6 I planted,
Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who
plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
(NASB)

You can see that the copy pasted the unformatted text and converted the
paragraph to Default Style.
What I have been doing as a work-around is to paste the text into WordPad, then
copy and paste the text from WP into here. Here is the same copy as the black
copy above, but pasted into WP, then copied and pasted here:

1Co 3:4 For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are
you not mere men? 5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through
whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 6 I planted,
Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who
plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
(NASB)

1Co 3:4 For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are
you not mere men? 5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through
whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 6 I planted,
Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who
plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
(NASB)

I pasted it twice so you can see that I can paste it multiple times this way. I
can only paste from the software one time in any given document. I can't do it
again.
Today, I am reverting LibreOffice back to 6.1.6.x since I didn't seem to have
the issue with that version.
If you need a copy of WORDSearch Bible to test with, I think I can arrange to
get you a free copy for testing.

Thank you for the updated.

The screenshot shows that you're using the "gtk2" VCL plugin, while this bug
report is for the qt5/kde5 VCL plugin, so this seems to be another issue.

If you think this is not the same as the existing bug reports bug 124391 and

Not for me. To be clear, I do not speak about the pptx file, but about the odp
file.

 With older versions, this is

> Do you agree?

Reduce to a line happens with the pptx file. That has been fixed in newer
versions. But the issue here is about the odp-file.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126550] New: A wide image (4 x 1 inches), after rotated, cannot be properly aligned to the top left margin

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126550

Bug ID: 126550
Summary: A wide image (4 x 1 inches), after rotated, cannot be
properly aligned to the top left margin
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: wss9...@gmail.com

Description:
I inserted a wide image that was slightly over 4x1 inches into the first page
of a Writer document. It was a logo to go to the left or right of the title
text. I rotated it 90 degrees. After that point I tried various ways to get
the image to the top left margin. The image is set to Wrap optimally. Dragging
it just put the image back where it started. I tried changing the anchor to
various options. I wanted it anchored to the page, so I finally left it there.
>From Properties by changing alignment to Top and Left, it still did not work.
It acted as though, even though the image is now tall and skinny due to
rotation and a 1x4 instead of a 4x1, that it was trying to align based upon the
non-rotated 4x1 image when anchoring.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Writer, add some title text (mine 18 words)
2. Set text to left justify
3. Insert an image 4 inches wide by 1 inch tall or any such aspect ratio
4. Set image Anchor to Page
5. Rotate that image 90 degrees
6. Set Wrap to Optimal Page Wrap
7. Try any way possible to get that image to be positioned to the top, left
margin of the page.

Actual Results:
Dragging the image puts it right back on mouse release. Some other options
moves the top of the image completely off the page. Changing the Anchor type
doesn't help. There seems to be no way to get that rotated image where you want
it.

Rotating the image back to normal 4 wide, 1 tall, allows proper alignment
easily.

Expected Results:
To be able to place the image as desired.

Bug ID: 126546
Summary: Deficiencies in Manage Styles (possibly related to

Description:
Attached is a sample file to show several formatting glitches. They all happen
in LibreOfficeWriter
Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 4248d759744f83a68d334a8b347124719a2886a8

Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Steps to Reproduce:
1.See attached sample file
2.
3.

Actual Results:
wrong formatting (Styles are not applied completely)

Expected Results:
All formatting features from the styles applied and not just some.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
The bug shows up in connection with copying/pasting from imported *.doc or
*.rtf files. It does not show up, if the text is moved through a pure ASCII
editor, then pasted to a fresh file and if the styles are defined there
accordingly.Very strange!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126544] New: in DOCX files, some styles's "text direction" appears Right-to-Left or Left-to-Right depending on User Interface Language

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 126544
Summary: in DOCX files, some styles's "text direction" appears
Right-to-Left or Left-to-Right depending on User
Interface Language
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: eladh...@gmail.com

Description:
Some styles of text in DOCX files have their text direction set to
Right-To-Left when User Interface language is set to Hebrew and to
Left-To-Right when user interface language is set to English.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install libreoffice-l10n-he to make Hebrew User Interface Possible
2. set User Interface language to Hebrew in Tools>Options>Language>User
Interface
3. open attached bugexample.docx file. Observe that the text direction of the
heading styles is set to Right-To-Left and that the heading texts are aligned
to the right.
4. Set user interface to English in Tools>Options>Language>User Interface
5. open attached bugexample.docx file. Observe that the text direction of the
heading styles is set to Left-To-Right and that the text is aligned to the
left.

Actual Results:
When opened in a Hebrew (and possibly other RTL languages) interface the
Heading texts in this DOCX (and in many others, but not all) are aligned to the
right and have their Text Direction set as Right-To-Left.
When opened in an English interface the Heading texts in this DOCX (and in many
others, but not all) are aligned to the left and have their Text Direction set
as Left-To-Right.

Expected Results:
Text Direction and alignment should be independent of User Interface and
dependent only on the file itself. This is still the case in Libreoffice 5.1

I tried to re-install 2 days later. There were 2 Windows updates in between,
and this time the installation worked. The only thing different I did is let
LibreOffice create a shortcut on the desktop.

Due to the 2 Windows updates, and the fact that the installation now works,
this bug is probably non-reproducible, and thus should be closed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126542] New: copy spreadsheet data into a writer table

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126542

Bug ID: 126542
Summary: copy spreadsheet data into a writer table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ulrich.kra...@amodia.de

Copying spreadsheet data into a writer table does not work as expected:

Procedure:
 - select several cells in LOcalc
 - Ctrl+C
 - switch to a LOwriter doc with a table
 - click into a cell of that table
 - paste

Expected result:
- Values from the selected Calc cells are filled into the respective Writer
table cells

Actual results depend on the paste mechanism:

a) Crtl+V ("normal" paste)
- a new DDE table is created in the selected table cell

b) Shift+Crtl+V ("special" paste)
- mode "calc8": behaves as in a)
- mode "HTML": Space-separated values in the selected table cell
- mode "unformatted text": Newline-separated values in the selected table cell
- mode "formatted text": New writer table is created in the selected table cell
- (other modes create images or links)

Selecting more than one cell in the writer table before pasting applies this
behaviour to all selected cells in the writer table.

Feature request:
Copy mode so that the values of corresponding cells are filled into the
respective cells in the writer table.

Example:

Selected cells in LOcalc: D5:E7
Ctrl+C
Clicked table cell in wirter:
"paste mode" which results in
:
value of := values of D5
value of := values of D6
value of := values of D7
value of := values of E5
value of := values of E6
value of := values of E7

Thanks!

Hello,

I just became aware of this bug report, so I'm not entirely sure how the
situation used to be when the OP first reported the bug or how it has evolved
since then. But as far as I can tell almost everything works perfectly at the
moment, and the only thing that doesn't (pre-edit text not being underlined) is
not a LO-specific issue because I can reproduce it in other Qt or KDE apps (and
is also not really relevant because it's an entirely different issue than this
one).

I will set this to UNCONFIRMED, but seeing as the original bug report is very
old and the last user comment is from 3 years old, and since I can be sure from
personal experience that there are no real problems with fcitx input in LO, I
think this could be marked as fixed.

Versions tested: current 6.2.x and 6.3.rc1

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99296] Calc: Disable headers/footers by default

2019-07-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99296

--- Comment #26 from Samuel Mehrbrodt (CIB) ---
Ok, sounds reasonable then.

But the UX improvements should be done *before* disabling header/footer by
default.

* Create two new menu entries Insert->Header / Insert->Footer which open the
Page dialog in the respective tab
* Also the "Edit" button in the Header/Footer tab in the page style dialog is a
bit hidden (I never noticed it). It should have a clearer label (e.g. "Edit
header/footer content") and probably be placed directly under the "Enable
Header" checkbox. Maybe the content below could be separated by a heading "More
options" or something.
