[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68486] FORMATTING: make line end (shift enter) work the same as paragraph end with last line setting 'left' for alignment justified
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68486 --- Comment #11 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Bob from bug 126895 comment #0) > New paragraph was created with Shift-Enter, the only way I know to start > a new paragraph in an outline without it striking a new outline number. I want to repeat once more: the whole thing is because of using wrong tool tof the task. Manual line break feature *is not* starting new paragraphs: it's just a manual override for *automatic line break*, and must behave identically to that automatic line break (except for manual application), just like manual hyphenation (e.g. using soft hyphen) compared to automatic hyphenation, etc. There is a *proper, dedicated* tool for the said task: Insert Unnumbered Entry (available in menu Format=>List, on Bullets and Numbering toolbar, and available for customization like assigning a keyboard shortcut). It inserts the unnumbered *paragraph* *into the list*, which properly follows the indents of the list. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127062] New: Importing a CSV with "0123" as a value removes the leading 0
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127062 Bug ID: 127062 Summary: Importing a CSV with "0123" as a value removes the leading 0 Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.4 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: b...@crimson.net.nz Created attachment 153541 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=153541&action=edit Example file where 0123 becomes 123 I have attached an example CSV file that demonstrates this issue. When importing the CSV the value "0123" shows in the preview as 0123 but after clicking OK and viewing the new spreadsheet in Calc both A1 and B1 are set as 123 and the leading 0 is removed. This causes phone numbers from an export to load without their leading digits and become invalid. Start with a document with something reasonable in it in order to revise it. 2. Switch on View→Toolbars→Track Changes. 3. Apply some modifications to the sample. 4. Activate Show Changes on the Track Changes toolbar. 5. Locate the cursor between some changes in the document window but not on one of them. 6. Activate Edit→Track Changes→Manage Changes. Current result: The list of changes is shown, but the part shown is unrelated to the document window. None of the changes in it is highlighted. The shown list can be sorted by Author/Date/Comment. It should also be possible to sort it by position in the text (Probably this is the initial sorting order). Expected result: In the order by appearance in the document, Manage Changes should be scrolled such that the logical position of the cursor in the document is reflected in the Manage Changes Window by a line in it corresponding to between the change above and the one below the cursor position in the document window (because in step 5 the cursor was located on an unaltered position in the document). 7. Use the tool button Previous Track Change or Next Track Change to locate some neighbouring change in the document window. Current result: The change in the document window is found and highlighted. This even works, if display of all changes is off, however deletions are just reflected in the cursor position then. That's ok! But nothing happens in the Manage Changes Window. Expected result: The corresponding entry for this change in the Manage Changes Window is also highlighted. If necessary, the Manage Changes Window is automatically scrolled accordingly. 8. Click on a change in the Manage Changes Window. Current result: The change is highlighted and the corresponding change in the document window too. This even works, if display of all changes is off. However deletions are just reflected in the cursor position then. That's ok because it could not really be done differently! 9. Use the tool button Previous Track Change or Next Track Change to locate some neighbouring change in the document window. Current result: The change in the document window is found and highlighted. This even works, if display of all changes is off, however deletions are just reflected in the cursor position then. Again that's ok! But nothing happens in the Manage Changes Window. Even worse: the highlight on the old change stays as it was - now the two windows have become inconsistent! That's not ok! Expected result: The corresponding entry for this change in the Manage Changes Window is also highlighted. If necessary, the Manage Changes Window is automatically scrolled accordingly (as in 7.). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126888 --- Comment #15 from Michael Weghorn --- Thanks for the clarifications. I checked with a small sample Qt application that the values for the keys for QWidget::handleKeyEvent are submitted as described in comment 12 (i.e. Colon for US, Semicolon for DE layout). I wouldn't say that this by itself is wrong, and it seems a bit unfortunate that the choice of allowed/used keyboard shortcuts including the Shift key allows for such ambiguous situations... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127057] New: deleting file when concurrent access from the same host
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127057 Bug ID: 127057 Summary: deleting file when concurrent access from the same host Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: b...@atina-asso.org hi there, Context : our organization counts 100+ users with desktops or laptops all on Debian-stable OS, previously Debian 9 Stretch and we plan to move to Debian 10 Buster. A large amount of business documents are on multiple network shares exposed by classic samba/ADDC and users/groups permissions management. Our off-site and on-the-go workers are using RDP connections to our head-office platform, driving them to a farm of 3 RDP servers in which they run a seemingly identical desktop environment than on native devices. Each of these RDP host run the exact OS and software stack than our native desktops, with the only difference being their multi-users environment settings, so that they can each host more than 10-20 simultaneous users. Whether it is on native desktops or on RDP servers, LibreOffice is on the exact same release, that is to say 5.2.7.2 under Debian 9, and this architecture worked perfectly well for all our users since 4 years. We plan to move soon to Debian 10, providing LO 6.1.5.2, and have encountered no problems on workstations until now after few weeks of tests and staged deployment. This week we upgraded our 3 RDP servers with confidence but encountered almost immediately a bunch of complaints from some users who lost files by using LO as usual. Problem : After analysis it appears that under the updated environment (Buster + LO 6.1), when an user open a remote file with LO (tested with Writer and Calc) on a network share, he can work normally on the file until someone else on the same host (RDP server) open the very same remote file. That second user is welcomed with the standard LO dialog-box ("warning, file already opened by X") where he could choose to open the file in read-only mode, after what all seems OK. Except that from that time, the file being opened by 2 users on different sessions within the same host, if the first user made a modification and wants to save it, LO shows an error saying that the original file doesn't exists anymore and that it can't be recorded. Surprisingly when we (sysadmin) look at that same time into the share, the file is physically present. Even more surprising and seriously troublesome, if the second user close the file (that he was read-only viewing) then it is immediatly deleted from the share for real and without any warning !!! >From that, the first user has still the original representation of the document opened in his LO, but can not record it (file doesn't exists error), except if he goes to 'save file under...' option and manually sets another filename or destination. Many users ran under kernel panick when viewing these errors, and as a result overwhelmed our hotline since yesterday. And even worse, the others users didn't bother or noticed that files were deleted, and so could eventually lead to a permanent data loss for the organisation (we can't restore a file if we don't know it is lost). This behaviour was only reproductible when concurrent users were on the same host, if user 1 was on RDP server A and user 2 on RDP host B or C, then it's all good (lock file, read-only access, no silent file suppression, tested with the same files under the same network shares with the same user permissions). Not having this erratic behaviour on previous environment we decided to quickly downgrade our 3 servers to Debian 9 with LO 5.2.7.2. Any help is welcomed, thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126888] Ctrl+Shift+; shortcut to insert current time stopped working
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126888 --- Comment #10 from Michael Weghorn --- (In reply to Martin from comment #6) > I tested for polish ( pl ) and english ( us ). In both cases the issue goes > away when I run libreoffice using the above mentioned env variable. Thanks. I can reproduce now if I switch keyboard layout to US. What both US and PL keyboard layouts have in common is that the ";" character is typed by just pressing a single key, while DE layout requires typing Shift in addition to the key otherwise typing ",'. For the US layout, pressing Shift in addition to the ";" key will result in ":". This is what **might** be happening (didn't check yet): Instead of the three key codes for Ctrl + Shift + ';', only the key codes for Ctrl + ':' are sent, (i.e. the conversion Shift+';' = ':' takes place), and the shortcut then no longer matches. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
