So could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from

Dear RGB,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear Thomas Lendo,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127552] New: Moving the mouse pointer over a button in a toolbar that has keyboard focus on a button causes loss of keyboard focus

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127552

Bug ID: 127552
Summary: Moving the mouse pointer over a button in a toolbar
that has keyboard focus on a button causes loss of
keyboard focus
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rayk...@gmail.com

Steps to repro using Writer

1) Menu > View > User Interface > Standard Toolbar

2) Press F6 twice - keyboard focus moves to Standard toolbar New button

3) Move mouse pointer over buttons in the Formatting toolbar
(toolbar below Standard toolbar) - buttons do not highlighted

4) Move mouse pointer over any button in the Standard toolbar

Result: button is highlighted and keyboard focus is lost

Expected result: keyboard focus not lost

I purpose following behavior of toolbars without keyboard focus and not
highlighting buttons on mouse over if keyboard focus is on a toolbar button.

Thanks for looking into this. I have restarted in safe mode as suggested.
When I do this, the old-style menu appears to be the default, and the Save a
Copy option is present under the File menu. To reproduce my missing Save a
Copy, switch to the tabbed menu with View > User Interface > Tabbed. Now click
the File tab and you will see that the Save a Copy is nowhere to be seen.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113973] Linux middle mouse button copy does not work correctly

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113973

One more remark:

I think it's slightly misleading to call the feature "paste clipboard" because
it's not inserting the clipboard but the mouse buffer.

Test:
* select some text, press ctrl+c
* select some other text with the mouse
* place the text cursor somewhere, hit ctrl+v
* middle-click somewhere else

==> they are two separate tools, and this is how it should be on Linux: The
mouse buffer (select/insert) and the clipboard (copy/paste) are separate and
can have different contents. I also typically use them for different tasks.

I'd therefore suggest renaming the preference to "insert mouse buffer" or
similar, to prevent users from making false assumptions (as I did until
recently...) and reduce misunderstandings among devs/users about what the
function should/should not do.

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113973

My setup:
openSUSE Tumbleweed, LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.4, Build-ID: 30(Build:4)

I tried a few things, and found the following:

1: Initially, the preferences are set to auto-scroll. I'd prefer insert.

2: After setting it to "paste the clipboard", LO wants to restart. I close LO,
click the file I'd been editing in Dolphin, and middle click does nothing

3: I set it do "do nothing", restart again, no change

4: After seeing the thread on ask.libreoffice [1], I set it to "insert
clipboard", started writer from the commandline, with the filename as argument.
Then tried to copy something into the document from a console window --
select/insert works!

5: Same trick within the same document works now! I closed LO again, opened via
doubleclick: Still works, directly.

6: Set it to "do nothing" -- middle click really does nothing

7: back to "insert clipboard": still does nothing, and I have to restart before
it works again, despite no message to this effect.

...So maybe there's something going wrong the first time the feature is being
used?

Thank you for testing. So now we are sure, that it is not a duplicate of that
bug.

It seems to be a problem with grouping with legacy VML format. The drawing has
several nested groups. If I use Word and ungroup them all, then opening
document in LO, saving and reopening gives a better result. Then there are only
wrong styles on the text boxes, but the lines are no longer lost.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127549] New: Custom Date format MM/DD/YY lost on cell copy/paste

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127549

Bug ID: 127549
Summary: Custom Date format MM/DD/YY lost on cell copy/paste
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: liboffc19.cordl...@xoxy.net

Description:
In a Calc spreadsheet, I have a column of dates with the entire column declared
to use format MM/DD/YY. Adding a new line to the table with copy/paste, the new
date is in format MM/DD/. Both the source cell, and the entire column
containing both the source and destination, are declared to use format
MM/DD/YY.

I can edit the new cell format to be MM/DD/YY, but that gets annoying. This is
relatively new behavior, but I'm not positive when it crept in; I've been
putting up with it for a bit before reporting it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter a date in a cell, e.g. 09/14/19.
2. Set the date format for the column of the cell to MM/DD/YY.
3. Copy the cell, then paste it into the cell just below it.

Actual Results:
The date in the new cell (target of paste) is 09/14/2019

Expected Results:
The date in the new cell should be 09/14/19

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85807] Remove merged cell restriction on sorting

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85807

While this enhancement makes sense for trivial examples, when dealing with a
complex table, you must also add the requirement that all merged cells must be
the same size. Otherwise you get into a messy situation where the result of the
merge could be undefined / nonsensical.

 Component: LibreOffice

After having auto-filled an empty column with a double click on the handler,
one could re-edit the first cell for instance with a new equation and then have
all the filled cells updated by just double clicking the handler again.

This is no longer happening and is very annoying as one now has to drag the
mouse all over the column in order to have the exising cells updated.

Default Line width in LO and MSO

The default line width in LibreOffice is 0,5 pt, so lines (or any other shapes)
are by default very thin compare to MS Office where the default line width is
1,0 pt.

I suggest to change the default line width to 1,0 pt cause for presentations on
impress it's definitly better to have the lines a bit thicker (for the beamer).
We can discuss if thin lines are better for drawings in draw or not, but as the
default width is set for all LibO modules, I'm for 1,0 pt for default.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127543] New: FILESAVE: Save a Copy seems to be missing in later versions of Writer

2019-09-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 127543
Summary: FILESAVE: Save a Copy seems to be missing in later
versions of Writer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.7.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dhorton...@gmail.com

Description:
In previous versions of Writer, before the tabbed menu was standard, there was
a selection under the File menu for Save a Copy. This seems to have
disappeared in recent times. I would like to request an enhancement for its
return. Here's why: Save a Copy is an incredibly useful feature when
submitting manuscripts to publishers. Many times publishers will ask for
submissions in RTF or DOCX format. Save a Copy allows me to keep my original
document in ODF and just generate RTFs as needed. The alternative of using
Save As will change the format in the current window. I then run the risk of
making changes in a format that I do not want to keep as my original document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new Writer Document
2. Click the File tab
3. Notice that Save a Copy is missing and cry

Actual Results:
Save a Copy is missing from the selections.

Expected Results:
Save a Copy would be available to select.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
This feature was available in previous versions, before the tabbed menu.

The AWS certification course in Gurgaon helps students get a clear
understanding of the best practices, fundamental concepts, and the latest
trends for working with AWS architecture.
It gives you the proper guidance for becoming an AWS certified solutions
architect. To practically work with the AWS management console, APTRON Gurgaon
provides three live projects and practice assignments.
