However, the border has a width that causes the enclosed text to change the position momentarily. It would be nice if the text would *always* have the same width of the border, but only change its color, which would avoid the jumping down than up. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127556] Formatting spacing first line

At a first try, you > should trust the line spacing value, which is incorporated into the font by > the font designer. Do you measured the distance? Thank you for your explanation. Using the navigator I could see those strange frames. I did delete these pictures and had only 2 pages. Sofar successful. however frames 78 and 44 were still around visible in the navigator but I was no loger able to navigate to these frames ... I will try again watching more carefully. What about the font: as already mentioned I try to mimic computer modern fonts from TEX. The TEX community doesn'd distribute these fonts as .ttf or .odf. Others volunteer in preparing these fonts for general use use under Linux and windows. However I suspect that in the process of building these fonts in .ttf the line spacing has not been replicated from the fonts in TEX. I got the .ttf files I installed from https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/computer-modern. After installation I found that less lines filled a complete page of text while TEX had more lines per page when using the CM prototype fonts. To arrive at the same number of lines per page I hat to make use of the proportional spacing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Because there is no sm defined macro for the "LONG LEFT RIGHT DOUBLE ARROW", meaning there is no linkage to the Unicode point 0x27fa, even if it were available in OpenSymbol font used by default for StarMath/MathML formulas in the Formula editor. And, while you can enter it as a StarMath litteral, e.g. "⟺", still no assurance Windows (or Linux or macOS) will pick up a suitable fallback font to the default OpenSymbol font. As indicated, you can force use of a specific font per formula, and select a font that has more extensive coverage of Unicode Mathematical symbols--we just can not specify an alternative default font. What prevents us from moving this forward is a fair number of Private Use Area glyph definitions provided from OpenSymbol that first need to be migrated to their correct Unicode point and allow a different font default to be set. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127553 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- It is a font issue. The sm Formula Editor will use OpenSymbol by default, with no means to change the default (RFE open as bug 101174). The StarMath macros do have coverage in OpenSymbol and will be rendered, just in a font different to the document text. dlarrow -> U+21d0 drarrow -> U+21d2 dlrarrow -> U+21d4 But since there is no font coverage in OpenSymbol for U+27FA LONG LEFT RIGHT DOUBLE ARROW, font fall back occurs--Ubuntu picks one up, Windows does not. Two means to work around: 1. In LibreOffice Formula editor (OLE link launches the sm Formula editor, the Format -> Fonts menu) to manually change the font for each formula to use the "Cambria Math" that the original document is written in. Tedious but will work. Mostly need to set the "Variables" font (but best to set them all for matching metrics) in the formulas. Once one formula is changed, the fonts are added to the drop list--so simple to work through. 2. use a Font replacement table and replace OpenSymbol with either Cambria Math, or one of the Styx fonts -- font metrics may be off and cause size issues. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 101174 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

With OpenGL rendering enabled (on Winodws builds at least) font metrics are incorrectly used and glyphs are clipped when stamped. I was working with rotating text of table cells for bug 127485 and noticed more than just the vertical ruler mark, all rotated text is being clipped when OpenGL rendering is enabled. OK with 6.3.1.2 and builds of master through 2019-08-16, suggests recent change to Direct2D DirectWrite handling. Attached document with table 'Table contents' style adjusted to use Noto Sans and all table cell contents rotated, and column width and column height optimized for the full table. While test document has style changed, with OpenGL rendering enabled, using any font's rotated glyphs are clipped when stamped to canvas. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127557] New: Cannot use the UNO jars to connect to Libre Office from a modularized java 11 project
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127557 Bug ID: 127557 Summary: Cannot use the UNO jars to connect to Libre Office from a modularized java 11 project Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: sdk Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: cschwent...@gmail.com Description: When trying to connect to LibreOffice from a modularized (jigsaw) java 11 application, it is not possible to connect to Libre Office because the jars are included as dependencies on the module path. It will result in "no office executable found!". Known problem. Trying to load the jars dynamically e.g like this way, https://stackoverflow.com/a/48323948 it will result in an exception, because the jars are a) on the module path already and b) in the unnamed module. The workaround was to "hack" the Bootstrap to accept an URLClassLoader and to use sockets instead of pipe. UrlClassLoader as parameter fixed the instantiation of the Boostrap, but then it complained about jpipe not on the library path. Even putting it on the PATH doesn't work either. https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/master/src/main/java/org/jabref/gui/openoffice/Bootstrap.java Note that to include the jars in the module path also refers to Bug 117331 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to connect from a modularized java 11 application 2. Create a single jar out of the libs, put in module path 3. Try to load jars from LO program folder dynamically. I have attached a document that shows the following irregularity: The spacing from first line on page or in paragraph to the second line is not the same as all the other line spacings. Please note: I am using proportional line spacing. The font I use replicates TEX-font computer modern. However I observed that the line spacing was larger and spoiled the nice looking original fonts appearance. I corrected this by proportional spacing to have the same number of lines on a page as I would have in TEX. The attached file also shows another irregularity: It has 16 pages but the last page is 2! It may be important to know that I generated this document from a copy of my book with 163 pages. I deleted pages start(=1) to 72 and 93 to end(=163). I do not know how to get rid of pages 3-16. But this is another topic and not what I want to address here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
