[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127586] New: Half of a graph line is disappeared when converting from Microsoft Word, which is getting worse than LO5.3.4

2019-09-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127586

Bug ID: 127586
Summary: Half of a graph line is disappeared when converting
from Microsoft Word, which is getting worse than
LO5.3.4
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mitsutakas...@catalyst.net.nz

Description:
When I converted MS word document to PDF with command line below:
xx/program/soffice.bin --convert-to pdf:writer_pdf_Export

Then I found half of a orange line in a graph disappeared (page3), which exists
when I produced PDF with LO5.3.4.

I also opened this document with LO6.0(Ubuntu18.04) and found the same result.

Steps to Reproduce:
There are two ways to reproduce it.
[1]
1. Open attached word document with LO6.0
2. Half of orange line in a graph (page 3) is disappeared.

[2]
1. Convert attached word document with LO6.3.1
  xx/program/soffice.bin --convert-to pdf:writer_pdf_Export
2. Open a generated pdf

You can find this does not happen when you use LO5.3.4.

Actual Results:
Half of orange line in a graph (page 3) is disappeared.

Expected Results:
Orange line in a graph (page 3) is rendered correctly.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

No, as appropriate I am examining them by unzipping the ODF archive and looking
at content the constituent XML and files.

> Do you suggest that my Ubuntu GNU/linux build is not behaving with LO? Or

Simply saying your Linux system is _not_ embedding PDF into the ODF archive.
While on a Windows build recent master and 6.3.1.2 it does. Not sure what to
make of it...

Dear Carlos Roberto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

My sample files were created using LO 6.0.7.3 on Ubuntu GNU/linux. You are
examining them using LO 6.3.1.2 on Win. That is not exactly the kind
apples-with-apples comparison needed to verify the bug. Also, the file you
uploaded is an ODT file, not exported PDF containing embedded PDF image. Not
sure what you are trying to illustrate with it.

Do you suggest that my Ubuntu GNU/linux build is not behaving with LO? Or that
LO 6.0.7.3 is playing up?

LO 6.0.7.3 was installed via system upgrade from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS.
I would guess 6.0.7.3 is integrated in the Ubuntu distro ISO file. My system is
regularly updated and would have the latest LO version supplied by Cannonical
installed.

I haven't changed any LO settings on my system. It is running default settings.

Anyway, I am fortunate there are alternative methods to achieve the embedded
image result I desire.

Again, there is no embedded PDF. They are PNG, and the content.xml lists the
image frame as image/x-vclgraphic; not sure if there is an issue embedding PDF
between Linux <--> Windows

If I replicate the "signature" using the PDF on Windows build of 6.3.1.2 I get
the this stanza in content.xml --

And the pictures directory of the ODF archive holds both the PDF and the PNG
frame. Something is not behaving with your Linux build.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127583] New: In "Tabbed" or "Grouped Compact" toolbar modes, switching between light and dark GTK themes does not refresh the styling of the toolbars

2019-09-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127583

Bug ID: 127583
Summary: In "Tabbed" or "Grouped Compact" toolbar modes,
switching between light and dark GTK themes does not
refresh the styling of the toolbars
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.7.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nekoh...@gmail.com

Description:
In "Tabbed" or "Grouped Compact" toolbar modes, switching between light and
dark GTK theme (Adwaita) does not refresh the styling of the toolbars.

Starting a new window or changing the toolbar style works around the issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set LibreOffice's toolbar UI to either "Tabbed" or "Grouped Compact"
2. Open gnome-tweak-tool
3. While a LibreOffice Writer/Calc/etc. GUI is open, switch the GTK theme from
"Adwaita Dark" to "Adwaita", or from "Adwaita" to "Adwaita Dark".

Actual Results:
The GUI adapts to the new theme, except the main toolbar. Particularly, the
combobox/dropdown widgets change their font color but not the widget's
background color, leading to illegible text.

Expected Results:
The main toolbar should adapt, like the rest.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
See attached screenshots.
Tested on Fedora 30 (the latest stable Fedora version available to me), hence
the LibreOffice 6.2.x version.

So I would think that „improvement“ could be a more fitting label for this.

My proposal for this would then be to „automate“ the proceedure which is
described in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
i.e. „rename the user profile folder from "user" to "user-old" “

In the menu under „help“, there could then be added „refresh/clean up user
profile“ very much like Firefox has the option „refresh profile“ under
„Troubleshooting Information“.

Like in Firefox, a great part of the settings of the user, as well as added
templates etc. could be automatically restored in the new profile.

If a greater number of users should be affected be problems related to an old
profile /corrupted profile (which I don‘t know), it might also be good idea to
make this an opt-out feature in the LibreOffice installer, very much like
Firefox already has it these days

larger, but after it has been used once, it disappears completely.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127337] FILEOPEN DOCX table column width changed in LO 6.2

2019-09-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Summary|FILEOPEN DOCX table |FILEOPEN DOCX table
   |column width changed in LO |column width changed in LO
   |6.4 |6.2

This bug report totally depends on the substituted font for "Book Antiqua". In
Ubuntu 18.04, bibisect always loads on two lines - in 6.1 and 6.2. I don't see
any difference in border spacing/width properties before/after either.

The difference is that before the code was never evaluated since
lcl_extractTableBorderProperty returns false, and thus LineWidth==0. Somehow
(assuming a merge of the previous cell's RightBorder.LineWidth), this cell's
aLeftBorder.LineWidth==18, even though LineStyle==NONE. However, I don't see
how that affects anything except in theory the placement of the frame.

I also see a minor difference in round-tripping. 6.1 improperly exported the
table style as , while 6.2 exports the same as
the original .

I'm not sure how to proceed on this bug report since I can't reproduce it, see
any property differences, or reproduce the export with w:w=65.

You installed Java 32 bits (since you indicate "x86"), do you confirm you
installed LO 32 bits? (and not LO 64)
Indeed, LO 64 bits will work with Java 64, LO 32 bits with Java 32, at least,
it'll works better.

If yes, you can rename your LO directory profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows) and give a new try.
Indeed, LO will recreate from scratch a brand new directory profile and will
try to detect Java.
