[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127707] New: I know we can change all color preference in LO to make it look like "Dark mode" but that is not a standard way.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127707 Bug ID: 127707 Summary: I know we can change all color preference in LO to make it look like "Dark mode" but that is not a standard way. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.1.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: prabesh...@gmail.com Imagine u have to share that document u prepared. It will look so distorted in other document viewers. Its a painful process trying to set all color patters from Application Colors. Why I am sharing my frustration here? Its because I have to use LO at least 12 hours a day, and when using something that long, you expect to make it look Dark. Like MS Word. What MS Word has does is really interesting. You can view any document in dark mode without having to worry about any discolor in just 1 click. That's really cool. It doesn't change the document properties or do anything. So much eye-friendly. I wish this was also possible in LibreOffice. Its would Save Millions Of Eyes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127080] Improve handling of user-defined colors
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127080 --- Comment #8 from Heiko Tietze --- User-defined colors are stored in an extra palette, just select the Custom palette. There you can single click on entries and get the respective RGB/Hex values right hand. If you expect the picker itself (the floating widget that shows up on click at the sidebar) to behave like this I disagree. Its purpose is to select quickly a color and not to manage it. The idea of RGB values in the tooltip makes sense and has been file in bug 84579 (maybe other as well). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127706] New: Clearing direct formatting breaks undo
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127706 Bug ID: 127706 Summary: Clearing direct formatting breaks undo Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.5.0 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: regression Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com 1. In a new text document, add a lorem ipsum text. 2. Select all (Ctrl+A), and set font size to 18. 3. Select a single word (e.g., double-click it), and apply italic direct formatting (Ctrl+I). 4. Select another word in the same paragraph (double-click it) and clear direct formatting (Ctrl+M). 5. Undo (Ctrl+Z), undo again (Ctrl+Z). Expected: all text has font size 18, not italic (since the effects of both Ctrl+M and Ctrl+I were undone, but not setting font size 18). Actual: the word that was made italic at step 3 has now font size 12. Undoing once after step 4 gives expected result, so it is likely step 5 that breaks the undo. Reproducible with current master (toward 6.4), and with LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3 Build ID: 7e68ba2-a744ebf-1f241b7-c506db1-7d53735. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120024] Writer table - letters get cut off on bottom row of page
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120024 --- Comment #6 from QA Administrators --- Dear Andrew, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. Maybe a text at the position of 'Reached the end of the document' with the alert 'Search result in a hidden comment' or something similar. Is it technically possible to see if a search result is in a hidden comment? I don't like an automatism in the search dialog to include or not include the comments in a search action. What if a user wants the opposite? After reopening the dialog, the setting is reset -- or when should it be reset after a user change? Never? After program restart? Seems also confusing. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108293 --- Comment #5 from Thomas Lendo --- The two issues I can reproduce is 1) when going to Highlighting tab, select 'Color' and select 'None' again. Here's some extract from README.md: 60 For more information see the build instructions for your platform in the 61 [TDF wiki](https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development). In TDF link, you'll find the link I provided about Linux building and prerequisites. For the rest, I can't tell. Anyway let's put this one to WFM then. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127689] gcc 9.2.1 sanity check error
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127689 --- Comment #2 from Jonathan Aquilina --- Hi Julian, it seems like that did the trick i somehow didnt see the ability to run sudo dnf builddep libreoffice like you can do on debian derivitives. My question though is if you are just running autogen.sh why it doesnt tell ou what you are missing as all it told me was about a sanity check. Would it make sense to have a message saying kindly check you have either the build dependencies installed with maybe a reference to the link on where it would be in the documentation, or show in this case that g++ is missing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 33603] Presenter notes should be available in normal view as a scrolling pane
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33603 --- Comment #25 from Jean-François Fortin Tam --- Created attachment 154370 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=154370&action=edit Mockup of a vertical scrolling notes layout reusing the standard LibreOffice sidebar expander widgets As I stated in my original bug report above, I believe an approach with a "horizontal" notes pane (bottom bar) would be inferior to one where we use a vertical sidebar, for three simple reasons: * Computer screens are widescreen (unlike the 90's where PowerPoint's bottom bar came from) or even ultra-wide (one of my screens is 21:9), so I have more UI pixels to spare on that dimension than in the other. * Presenter notes are often meant to be bulletpoint-style short sentences, they are better-suited to a vertical layout (they would "waste" the space of a horizontal layout and require very tedious scrolling). And super wide sentences suck for reading and wouldn't even remotely resemble what would actually be shown on the presenter screen, anyway. * The technical implementation would be easier, because you wouldn't have to create a whole new pane widget, you just reuse the existing sidebar and add a new component in there, which should make it relatively straightforward. Attaching a mockup that illustrates how this would actually look like in practice. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127699 Bug ID: 127699 Summary: trail left by objects while dragging them with arrow keys in LibreOffice Impress Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mirko.piero...@studenti.polito.it Description: When selecteing an object and displacing it using the arrow keys a trail left by the boundary the object is visible until one stops moving the object. The issue first appears in version. In previous versions there is no trail, but the content appears to be delayed with respect to the frame enclosing it, giving rise to a weird "bouncing" effect. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert a text box or picture 2. Select it 3. Press any arrow key on your keyboard to move it Actual Results: The object leaves a trail of its displacement while keeping an arrow key pressed to move it. The tracks disappears when the arrow key is released. Expected Results: Only the actual position of the object should be visible at any given time.
