The behavior became different since my report in 2018.

With rehearse timings, the behavior became **exactly the same** with slide
shows. That is, the timer started from 0:00 at the starting slide, then kept
going on with switching slides and animations.

The **original behavior** was in rehearse timings, switching slides would
restart the timer from 0:00 but with slides animations the timer would start
only after all the animations were played.

The strange thing was that I tested with

On Ubuntu:
版本:6.0.7.3
組建 ID:1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10
CPU 執行緒:2; OS:Linux 5.0; UI 算繪:預設; VCL: kde4;
語言地區:zh-TW (zh_TW.UTF-8); Calc: group

On Debian (downloaded from official site)
版本 4.0.0.3 (組建 ID:7545bee9c2a0782548772a21bc84a9dcc583b89)

Version: 6.3.2.2
Build ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.2; UI render: default; VCL: kde5;
Locale: zh-TW (zh_TW.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

They all were of the same behavior, i.e., not the behavior the reporter gave
and I reported in 2018.

I tried with resetting the user profile but still the same.

May need more test from others.

seems to work OK with just Open CL enabled. The freezing problem occurs after
the values in several cells have been edited but the sheet not saved.

Dear Telesto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127870] New: "Hyperlink" dialogue box trims "Text:" to 255 characters, even if it's longer

2019-09-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127870

Bug ID: 127870
Summary: "Hyperlink" dialogue box trims "Text:" to 255
characters, even if it's longer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dger...@gmail.com

Description:
If you highlight text over 255 characters long and open the "Hyperlink"
dialogue (either via Insert->Hyperlink or ctrl-k), then the text in the "Text:"
field is cut to the first 255 characters. Adding a URL and hitting "OK" will
then cut the text in the document to just these 255 characters.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select text over 255 characters.
2. Open "Hyperlink" dialogue.
3. Add a URL to the "URL:" box.
4. Hit "OK." Text is trimmed to 255 characters in the document (and
hyperlinked).

Actual Results:
Text is trimmed to 255 characters in the document (and hyperlinked).

Expected Results:
Text should be hyperlinked, and not trimmed.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Manifests in Linux 6.4-alpha from git master, built today:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127559] Current development version of LibreOffice freezes quite often

2019-09-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127559

Xisco,

I have first moved the directory ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user to some other
place. Then I started the newer version of LibreOfficeDev, which I had just
installed in the safe mode. Then I did some editing in the safe mode with one
of the files with which I encountered freezes. I did not encounter a freeze or
a crash during this half of an hour editing time.

I could not confirm the bug in safe mode.

Then I cloesd LibreOfficeDev again and restored the user directory with the
profile. When I restarted LibreOffice, I continued working on the file which I
tried before and luckily I did not encounter any crash.

When I restored the profile directory user, I saw an adjacent directory
~/.config/libreoffice/4/crash, which contained some dump files. However, none
of them was from the time when I reported this bug. Is the generation of crash
dumps in this place disabled for development versions?

I don't suggest to make ONE big centralized widget the idea is to have ONE
widget that contain

- GtkFrame (generic)
  - GtkAlignment (generic)
- GtkBox, GtkGrid, ... (specific)
  - GtkLabel (generic)

I'd like to merge 3 widgets (generic) and define in

the centralized widget didn't offer to much complexity.

The goal should be that in the stupendous amount of ui files the developer

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127706] Clearing direct formatting breaks undo

2019-09-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127706

Made some test with the steps from comment 0 (in a version without patch from
comment 4). Specifically, I have saved a new copy of the document after each of
the steps starting after 2. For creating lorem ipsum text, I typed "lorem" then
F3, so I had 4 paragraphs in the document (the last empty).

After step 2, the resulting ODF contained all paragraphs having direct
formatting applied at *paragraph* level; the size 18 was defined in styles
under "office:automatic-styles" element, which had style:family="paragraph"; no
styles there having style:family="text".

After step 3, the paragraph with the modification still had size defined at
paragraph level, but the italic formatting was, naturally, defined at character
level (i.e., using a test:span referring to a style which family was "text").

After step 4, the edited paragraph no more had direct formatting at the
paragraph level: instead, all formatting was now using several text:span
elements, which referred to two character autostyles. The portion that was
cleared from direct formatting was outside of the spans, i.e. having the
paragraph formatting.

After step 5, the modified paragraph was also free of direct formatting, and
everything manual was still applied using text spans.

So I believe that the problem here is that when we clear direct formatting in a
span inside a paragraph having direct formatting at paragraph level, its
formatting is modified in such a way that is isn't a paragraph-level formatting
anymore, but a character-level formatting; and *this step is not undone* in
undo, which is the reason of the bug.

Incorrect.

The SVG and the PDF get completely different filter handling for rendering to
document canvas as BMP and save to archive as .PNG--no expectation they would
end up the same resolution. The PDF insert filter currently generates an
internal BMP at a fixed 96 dpi resolution (bug 115811) and that result gets
used for PNG on save.

What is more troubling is why you do not retain the SVG and the PDF in your ODF
document archive--both vector graphics are needed for rendering to print or PDF
export.

On Windows builds (6.3.2.2 and current master/6.4.0) both the SVG and the PDF
are saved and available for print or export rendering as vector images.

Good day. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I am on macOS 10.13.6. The problem is

The trick seems to be to first click Apply, then Ok and then exit LO (before
crashing). However, just clicking on Check Now immediately triggers the crash.

2019-09-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127869

Bug ID: 127869
Summary: Copy file path to past buffer when saving a document
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hinckley...@gmail.com

Created attachment 154643
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=154643=edit
Example from SnagIt

When saving a document, provide an option to copy the full path to the paste
buffer. This facilitates reference to a saved version being used to attach,
open in another application, or logging.

SnagIt is a good example of an implementation of this feature.

Thank you,
Bob

Confirmed, but not clear ODF supports control of line weights for the lines of
a hatched area fill definition.

May end up => WF

Project already implements snapping for point of draw objects.

Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Draw -> Grid in the 'Snap' controls:

Simply enable the 'To object points' check box, and adjust the 'Snap range'
from its default 5px as preferred.

Note that David *did not have* OpenGL UI rendering active when he reported
this: "UI render: default;"

So all this talk about OpenGL is a red herring and I have no idea, what David
deactivated, when he said he turned off OpenGL.

Well - this all appears to be font substitution confusion.

- "PLAYING ROLES" uses Arial Black (not available on Linux normally)
- all the other bits of text use BentonSans Bold, which *is a commercial
font*!!!

If dealing with problems with commercial fonts, please be prepared to seek
commercial support: https://www.documentfoundation.org/gethelp/developers/

Otherwise, report issues using freely available fonts.

I am closing this.
