Dear s.p.helma,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear sergio.callegari,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

I am running LibreOffice 6.3.1 after numerous updates from 5.x onwards and have
had terrible blacked-out icons for months despite those updates until I found
this fix. Please implement this in the Windows installer, I created bug 128523.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128523] New: remove old icon themes on Windows during installation to fix blacked-out ugly icons

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128523

Bug ID: 128523
Summary: remove old icon themes on Windows during installation
to fix blacked-out ugly icons
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.1.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Installation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: i...@skierpage.com

I am running LibreOffice 6.3.1 after numerous updates from 5.x onwards and have
had terrible-looking blacked-out icons for months despite those updates (as I
recall each time I downloaded and ran the latest Windows installer). Today I
learned from bug 119020 that the fix is to delete the various icon folders in
%appdata%\LibreOffice\4\cache\ folders (I opened each
folder, every icon theme folders had a folder named "150" inside which I
deleted).

This worked great and finally the icons look good, but very few LO users have
the knowledge to do this so many long-time users are experiencing ugly icons.

In bug 119020 comment #56 Robert Berg in wrote:
> Yes, deleting the cache folder is enough to fix it, and deleting the cache

He is right, please add this fixup to the installer.

might be on the KF5 VCL plugin. Seems buble develops it> I looked in github and
found you also worked on this:

That would explain why "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen soffice" did work. Despite the

Do `thread 1` and `frame 6` to get to the
fileaccess::XInputStream_impl::readBytes call, then `print nBytesToRead` and
`print nrc` to get the values.

Entering an illegal char (such as \) in a bookmark name immediately causes an
error msg:
'The following characters are not valid…'
**The msg should read 'The following character is…' since one cannot even
enter another character!
**The msg occurs too soon. Maybe I was trying to enter '\j' which a
keyboard manager would have replaced with 'John', which is legal.
Conclusion: LO should wait to check the bookmark name until the user enters
it.

Thinking there might be a difference between torrented and direct-downloaded
versions, I just tried running a direct-downloaded 6.3.3, but that didn't fix
it.

I don't know why running 6.2.7.1 seems to have "fixed" the blurriness in 6.2.8
(which I had renamed to LibreOffice6.2.8.app) but can't get 6.3.3 fixed.

Now this is interesting. Had this problem on a 2019 iMac, macOS 10.4.6, in
both LO 6.3.3 and 6.2.8, which I had downloaded by torrent. Then I went to the
archive, installed 6.2.7.1, and saw no blurriness.

Reran 6.2.8, and macOS prompted that as a downloaded app, it needed to be
verified. Launched a calc doc, and no blurriness.

Reran 6.3.3, didn't get the verification prompt, and still blurry.

Happy to provide other info.

I will say this: this bug may have started for me when I downloaded LO on my
2012 non-retina MacBook Pro, and then copied it over to my retina iMac. I
think this might have something to do with macOS "verifying" newly downloaded
apps?

You can also try SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf5, which would be like the default if
nothing had been set explicitly. (Or as mentioned, you can set
SAL_VCL_QT5_USE_CAIRO=true in combination with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt5, which
should most probably be fine as well, though it's nothing that is currently
used anywhere by default; kf5 is mostly qt5+cairo plus native kf5 file
dialogs).

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128520

Bug ID: 128520
Summary: In Calc: highlighting a range in sheet1, then
switching to sheet2 and then back to sheet1 and
selection is gone in sheet1.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: camplo...@outlook.com

Description:
Excel will retain a highlighted range in sheet1 if I switch to sheet2 and then
switch back to sheet1. But LibreCalc will not retain the highlighted range; it
is no longer highlighted when switching back to sheet1.

It's a great spreadsheet app.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a sheet1 and a sheet2; no data is needed
2.with the mouse highlight a range in sheet1
3.switch to sheet2
4.switch back to sheet1 and the range highlighted in step 2 is no longer
highlighted

Actual Results:
sheet1 no longer had the highlighted range

Expected Results:
sheet1 should still have the same range highlighted from step 2

Reproducible: Always

python script to generate the icon include file

When a Help page call a missing icon in the icon theme set, a replacement icon
must be available.

The list of replacement icons exist in core/icon-theme//links.txt. This
list is updated each time an icon is added or deleted.

The list must also be used in the Help pages build phase, where missing icons
must be replaced with the right icon from the list above.

The current approach is to generate a XSL transform and include it in the main
XSL transform online_transform.xsl. The auxiliary XSL is named
helpcontent2/help3xsl/links.txt.xsl

The Python script attached here generates link.xtx.xsl based on the link.txt of
the colibre icon theme. However the script is not inserted in the build system
in CustomTarget_html.mk

The task is to add the script in the build process or, do an equivalent shell
script, to produce links.txt.xsl.

That way, it will prevent to update manually list.txt.xsl and update it in git.

Notes:
1) The list.txt.xsl transform is included in online_transform.xsl
2) the xsl:include href= attribute cannot be computed by xsltproc v.1.0 and
must be statically defined.
3) usually the intermediate files are placed in workdir/ folder. However, the
workdir path is a LibreOffice build parameter. It cannot be used to define the
xsl:include href=

At actual, it is not possible to set an IDxyz-Field to primary-key and
Auto-increment at once while building a new table.
The setting "auto" will get lost on closing the table.
When reopening for to change to auto, field-order changes (== drop+append),
which is annoying.

I have done the following procedure (bibisect-win32-5.4):

- copy text from IE
- paste special into writer with option "Formatted text [RTF]"
- paste special into writer with option "Formatted text [RTF]"

good: option "Formatted text [RTF]" is not available
bad: second paste fails (but it's possible to paste into

yes, LO 6.4 (oldest) is good, but master is bad (blurred) if OpenGL is enabled.

No no, it's a bug. If all of LO actually respected the two-decimal-digit limit,
internally, maybe you could argue it was just an enhancement. But in fact, a
lot of X, Y, width and height values are set with with sub .01-unit-resolution
values. The inability to see them and to set them, and to revert to original
values after you've made a change.

So because some people want something that offers some benefits to some people
but disadvantages others (by wasting valuable screen estate 100% of the time)
it gets implemented for everybody.

But when those people are disadvantaged ask for an /option/ to revert to how
things were previously they get denied because it would take up screen estate
very occasionally? Really?

is *different*.
This is because the processed SeqOfPrim modifies it - in
VclProcessor2D::RenderTransformPrimitive2D. This means the ControlPrimitive
itself contains the offset (in my local example '30' which leads to a pixel
offset of 1.0889). Forcing this to zero silences the repaint.

Thus the question is: Who and why does someone create a TransformPrimitive2D?
There are probably good reasons, so maybe we get a principal problem here...?

Have tested the same now: CLOB and LO 6.3.2.2, but OpenSUSE 15 Linux 64bit rpm.
I copy content of Calc to a Base form. Linefeeds appear as expected. There is
no difference when setting the properties of the formcontrol to CR+LF(Windows)
or LF(Unix). Both will work here.

So it seems to be a special Windows-bug ...

I have now checked this for LO 6.3.2.2 on Kubuntu 18.04. Result:

I confirm (comment 5) that if the source paragraph has a style applied, copying
part of this paragraph into another one does not transfer that style. Moreover,
what I observed for the Windows version now holds for the Linux version, too:
Paragraph properties are generally not transferred if only part of a paragraph
is copied and pasted. I.o.w.: For properties applying to an entire paragraph,
it does not matter for the copy/paste operation whether they have been
stipulated specifically for the source paragraph or they are properties of a
style applied to it. So far, so good; problem partly solved.

However, a difference appears for character properties:
- If a certain character property (say font size 10 pt) is set in the style
applied to the source paragraph, it is not transferred by copy/paste of part of
it.
- If the same property is assigned specifically to the source paragraph, then
it is inherited by all of its parts and, therefore, transferred to the paste
target.

This is still inconsistent. Properties applied to entire paragraphs should
_never_ be copied if only part of them is copied.

Moreover, see Bug 113605, comment 6.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128517] New: Cyclic or iterative calculation is erroneously assumed in calc 6.3.2.2

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128517

Bug ID: 128517
Summary: Cyclic or iterative calculation is erroneously assumed
in calc 6.3.2.2
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alain.tou...@free.fr

Description:
The enclosed sheet used to work in calc version 6.2.8 but generates many calc
522 errors in version 6.3.2.2.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open the enclosed spreadsheet in calc 6.3.2.2
2.go to sheet "Synthese", column "Rattrapage TVA a psoteriori" (column L)
3.it shows an error 522, the error propagates throughout the spreadsheets
4.open the enclosed spreadsheet in calc 6.2.8
5.go to sheet "Synthese", column "Rattrapage TVA a psoteriori" (column L)
6.it shows the result of a processing (0), there may be some propagation
problems (data processing does not get always automatically actualized on other
sheets) but most often, the results are ok

Actual Results:
In libreoffice 6.0.7.3 this column (L) in "Synthese", as some parts of the
spreadsheet are not calculated : #N/A results

In libreoffice 6.2.8 the spreadsheet is usually well calculated, this column
results in numbers, not error. Please note that the refresh and propagation of
the data modification (between sheets) is not well done and sometimes needs
some manual modification on the destination sheet to be refreshed.

In libreoffice 6.3.2.2 most parts of the spreadsheet are not calculated : error
522 results (even with iteration validated in parameters)

Expected Results:
The L column shall be always 0 due to the parameters adopted.
This spreadsheet has worked on libreoffice 6.2.8 (with refreshing and
propagation problems). This column shall result in numbers, not error. The
propagation of calculations shall be done across all the right side sheets
(with names not only made of uppercase characters), including "Fiscalité".

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113605] TABLES: Column/row properties of cells should be preserved on copy into an existing table (Paste Special should insert the source unformatted)

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113605

In LO 6.3.2.2, behavior still is as it was before:

a) I copy a table row/column that has a background color to another table: the
background color is not transferred.

b) I copy a row/column whose cells contain indented paragraphs: Indentation is
transferred.

c) I copy one part out of a cell content which is an indented paragraph:
Indentation is transferred.

Desired behavior, as far as I am concerned, would be:

a: Preserve the attribute.
b: Preserve the attribute.
c: Do not preserve the attribute, since it is one of the entire cell, not of
its part.

This is related to Bug 124959: LO still lacks a principled distinction between
attributes of entire block elements (paragraphs, table components) and inline
elements (parts of a paragraph or of a table cell).

I've been using the database for several years, originally in HSQLDB format,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128512] LO Base incorrectly remembers position and size of its windows

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128512

No, not quite. The point is that, although some LO components do a better job
at remembering windows than others, Base does a particularly bad job:

LO Writer at least remembers size and position of the last Writer document
closed. I.e. it does not get confused by other LO components.

LO Base, instead, recalls the last LO window, whatever the responsible LO
component was. And in addition, it forgets all of its internal windows.

The moral of the story seems to be: LO should store size and position for each
window opened for every document/file contained in the recent document list. I
do not feel this is asking too much.

Bug ID: 128515

   Product: LibreOffice

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mirko.piero...@studenti.polito.it

Description:
LibreOffice provides a certain set of preselected templates.
Most of them are not very attractive or useful (especially in a professional
setting). We might want to change the templates that are provided by default
when the user installs LibreOffice in order to make it more attractive to
current and new users. This will involve making a proposal and collecting votes
from current users.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice
2. Select Templates

Actual Results:
You see the current choice of default templates

Expected Results:
We might want to "rethink" the kind of templates we want the user to see when
opening LibreOffice

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46062] Autofilter should not tick "all" if each individual value is selected (blanks should be omitted)

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46062

Re-tested:

environment:
Version: 6.3.3.2
Build ID: a64200df03143b798afd1ec74a12ab50359878ed
CPU-threads: 4; Besturingssysteem: Mac OS X 10.15; UI-render: standaard; VCL:
osx;
Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8); UI-taal: nl-NL
Calc: threaded

Problems still not resolved:

Using the original uploaded file from Mark Bourne (attachment 103367):

1-
In AutoFilter column B select 'Not empty'
Only box 'Empty' is autmatically ticked. This is wrong. It ahould be the only
box NOT ticked, while all other boxes (in thes case aaa and bbb) should be
ticked.

Using testfile uploaded in attachment 137320:

The problemn described in comment 20 still exists.
The weird thing is that it should be real easy to resolve:
either:
- Indicate the string length by putting quates around the whole string, e.g. "
  "", "aaa ", "aaa "," aaa ".
- In indicate leading and trailing spaces with a grey block

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128514] New: Query-GUI doesn't show any row with HSQLDB 2.5.0 / UNION-query - Tools > SQL will show the output

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128514

Bug ID: 128514
Summary: Query-GUI doesn't show any row with HSQLDB 2.5.0 /
UNION-query - Tools > SQL will show the output
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de

Created attachment 155430
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=155430=edit
Database and hsqldb.jar of HSQLDB 2.5. Extract and change connection for test.

This special bug appears with the external HSQLDB since 2.4.0. Have tested it
also with 2.5.0 - same behaviour.

In the attached database is a query which only will work in direct SQL. It
links two queries with the same fields by UNION:
SELECT "Nachname", "Geburtstag" FROM "Teilnehmer" WHERE
YEAR("Geburtstag")<'1980'
UNION
SELECT "Nachname", "Geburtstag" FROM "Teilnehmer" WHERE
YEAR("Geburtstag")>'2000'

The query could be started in the GUI with direct SQL. No error appears, no
rows will be shown.
The query could be started in Tools > SQL. The rows will be shown when the
checkbox for showing the output will be pressed.

Expected behaviour: Query-GUI should show all output which will be shown as
output through Tools > SQL.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128513] New: no linefeeds when importing Calc tables that contain multiline text

2019-10-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128513

Bug ID: 128513
Summary: no linefeeds when importing Calc tables that contain
multiline text
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rac...@megabit.net

Description:
I have problems to import multiline text from Calc, because line feed (LF) is
removed (Firebird and HSQLDB mode). Sorry that I don't know the LibreOffice
version that breaks this functionality. And I don't know any workarounds.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use Calc to create rows containing multiline text fields (hint: shift +
return in input box)
2. import rows to Base with copy and attach data to existing Base table
3. look in form object containing multiline textbox if linefeeds exist

Actual Results:
no LF, text is continuous

Expected Results:
a lot of LF ;)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
