[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104299] UX: Snapping corner to attach/detach the sidebar

2019-11-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104299

OK, I think maybe Heiko misunderstood the OP's issue and as it worked for him,
he called for an easy hack and code pointers to add the re-dock control.

Issue is valid, bug 92122 (Windows) -- bug 64438 (Linux, KDE for sure) -- and
recently bug 128543 (macOS)

Maxim had some ideas on refactoring the docking frames for Windows specifically
but maybe in general which may resolve the issue on KDE. Not clear what --if
anything-- is happening with compositing the frames for qt5 and gtk3

No, it is not ok. There are no favorable changes in LO 6.3.3 in Spanish.
I see exactly the same errors in LO Draw and LO Impress 6.3.3.
I reiterate that it is in Draw and in Impress where the errors are.

No, it's not okay. The errors with the writing of the word "guión" are there
again.. I can see them now that I am testing LO 6.3.3. in Spanish.
The correct writing is: guión.
However there appears the wrong writing like this: guion.
In this matter there are no favorable changes in LO 6.3.3.
In addition, the last three options are in English. The first three options now
appear in Spanish, but the other three (Insert narrow no-break space, No-width
Optional Break, No-width no break) are in English when they should be in
Spanish. You are on the right track. It only takes a little to solve it.

한글을 아신다면, 아니 한글을 몰라도 괜찮은 문제입니다.
간단히 생각하세요. 그저 아이콘 위치만 서로 바꾸시면 됩니다.

If you know Hangul... oh, it doesn't matter if you don't know what is Hangul.
Keep it simple. Just switch the positions of the icons with each other.

More information for you:
Look at the image Attached.
You can see the symbols "ㄱ" and "ㅎ".

"ㄱ" is "A" and "ㅎ" is "Z" in the Korean alphabet.

The problem what I requested is "ㄱ" goes to the top if I click the left one.
Also, if I click the other, "ㅎ" goes to the top.

Dear Xisco Faulí,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

Hi Stuart,

The code pointers given are for displaying the shortcut keys next to the Dock
and Undock menu items in the Sidebar tab bar configuration popup menu. It won't
solve the problem of sometimes not being able to drag dock. I have also
experienced this but at the moment can not repro. I will make an enhancement
report and give the code pointers there and these comments that don't directly
pertain to the solution can be hidden if that would be better. Please advise.

This could be reproduced in Linux, eg. with gen VCL backend. When the listbox
is in focus, it shows the right (dark) color, but as soon as it loses focus, it
changes to a pale color. This didn't happen in 6.2.

Bibisected to the following commit using repo bibisect-linux-64-6.3, it's a
backported commit, so I'm listing the original. Adding Cc: to Caolán McNamara,
please take a look.

The option columns should align to the left and should be arranged in equally

I just noticed a possibly related bug in writer: In a particular document, when
I click on the toolbar icon for text highlight color my computer freezes as
described above: The mouse pointer moves but doesn't change form when passing
over different objects. Nothing else responds, including Ctrl-Alt-F2, for
example. This happened twice. In both cases after a few minutes I rebooted.
When I started it from a command line with "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen soffice"
there was no problem.

   Product: LibreOffice

I have LibreOffice Calc Version: 6.3.1.2 (x64), Build ID:
b79626edf0065ac373bd1df5c28bd630b4424273, CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0; UI
render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded installed. I have a password protected XLS spreadsheet with
hyperlinks, account names, and passwords saved on a flash drive. When I open
the file, random hyperlinks appear to have been corrupted with "%00" appended
to them. Some have a lot of these null characters, other have only one or two,
but either way, they corrupt the hyperlinks.

I saw that bug 124318 says this has been fixed in version 6.3.0, but I'm still
seeing this in my files. I would be happy to upload the affected file, but the
information is PPI and I really don't think you want to have that kind of
access.

impossible to use
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha1+ Master

OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Description:
Pressing F5 to access the navigation crashes the current Calc document.

LibreOffice goes into recovery mode, but is not able to recover the document.
The user profile is also corrupted, it is no longer possible to use Calc, as it
always goes into document recovery mode which is unsuccessful

It works in 6.3, so this would be a regression

Found when trying to test bug 100197

Steps to Reproduce:
* Fresh install of LibreOffice nightly
* Create new empty Calc document
* Press F5

Actual Results:
Watch LibreOffice crash and document recovery open

Expected Results:
Open of Navigation window

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

When viewing a document in readonly mode the action of the tab key is to
move among Graphic, Frame, Ole, DrawObject, or DbForm if one these is
already selected. If the cursor is inside an input field and has no multi
selection then move among InputFields. Finally if neither the previous
two cases apply then move among Hyperlinks which causes cursor position
to move to top or bottom of the document when no Hyperlink is found.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117790] Caption order, caption positions for Lithuanian language

2019-11-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117790

The Caption Order default value is now set to Numbering First for Lithuanian.

Numbering Separator is set to emty space in the AutoCaption options window.
However, Numbering Separator is still set to dot+space by default whenever I
choose "Insert – Caption", and has to be modified manually for each caption
inserted that way.

Can the default Numbering Separator in "Insert – Caption" dialog be changed to
space instead of dot+space, too?

The title of the bugtracker is "Crash in: mergedlo.dll" so for me the original
or at least the main pb is the crash.
Now we have a workaround about the crash, you can submit a new bugtracker.

To do this, use this link:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi

Yes, you should attach the same file.

BTW, "OpenGL" and "OpenCL" are different elements.

Looks it works fine only with languages having comma as decimal separator.

Maybe is there something else affecting the issue, I can't believe it wasn't
reported.

There is also a bug https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93510,
about 'Regular expressions do not works when enabled automatically find columns
and rows labels', but changed that option doesn't affect this one.

Hi @Eike can you take a look, seems critical for the affected people, SUMIF and
SUMIFS are also affected.

In further tests: if I have the Hyperlink dialogue already open, the "Text"
field can take up to 65,534 characters (2^16-2). When I hit "OK", these are put
into the document correctly.

So I would guess that all this needs to fix it is for whatever takes the
selection from the document reading 16 bits of characters from the selection,
instead of 8 bits.

Ok, yes that aspect works. It's not clear why "Date & time" is not working
alone though.

Finally, outstanding - why is it different to Shift+Ctrl+V from a TXT file?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128556] New: PyUno getCurrentComponent return None when loading a Keynote presentation in headless mode

2019-11-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128556

Bug ID: 128556
Summary: PyUno getCurrentComponent return None when loading a
Keynote presentation in headless mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pablo.pl...@gmail.com

Description:
When loading a Keynote presentation in headless mode it's not possible to
access it with internal PyUno script.
Keynote in non-headless mode works fine.
ODP in headless mode works fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create test.py internal python script with a function that get the current
component and print it to the console.
Script location under Ubuntu:
/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/Scripts/python/test.py
test.py script content:
def test():
  desktop = XSCRIPTCONTEXT.getDesktop()
  cmp = desktop.getCurrentComponent()
  print(cmp)

2. Execute the script with a Keynote presentation:
libreoffice --headless
'vnd.sun.star.script:test.py$test?language=Python&location=share' test.key

3. None is printed to the console instead of the component object.

4. Test without headless mode:
libreoffice 'vnd.sun.star.script:test.py$test?language=Python&location=share'
test.key

5. Verify the component object is printed to the console.

6. Execute the script with ODP presentation:
libreoffice --headless
'vnd.sun.star.script:test.py$test?language=Python&location=share' test.odp

7. Verify the component object is printed to the console.

Actual Results:
None is printed to the console. We can't access the Current Component.

Expected Results:
We should be able to access the Current Component and print it to the console.

Reproducible: Always

Hard to tell. I would start by reporting it to the relevant client-side kernel
part.

(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #20)
> Does that value reach LO code? In which case, it could be worth a workaround
> checking if the reported read size is greater than asked size?

I would only want to do that as a very last resort, in case the the assumed bug
outside of LO can't be fixed for whatever reason. Why not wait for an analysis
of the assumed kernel bug first?

(Jan, I assume you pass this on as appropriate? In which case, thank you, and
would be great if you could add a link here or report back any findings.)

Since version 6.4, it is not possible to remove all hyperlinks in selected text
by single command.

1. Open a Writer document containing text with more hyperlinks.
2. Select all in the document (Ctrl+A).
3. Invoke a context menu by right click - the menu does not contain "Remove
hyperlink" command.

Expected: The "Remove hyperlink" command should be there.

I also tried to customize the context menu, but with no success.

Yes, when i copy a cell, and then Shift+Ctrl+V I have "Selection" "Date & time"
ticked. It doesn't work for me. Does that work for you in latest?

If you open a TXT file copy paste from that with Shift+Ctrl+V it works, so
feels some issue...

Set "Locale setting" e.g. to German to get A4 as default.

Besides that, you can define your own default document template, having the

I prefer the old style of tab: it should be an option. I agree that the new
style takes up too much space vertically, has no demarcation of tab boundaries
(other than the active sheet) unless adjoining tab labels are formatted
differently, and has too much space surrounding tab text, limiting the number
of tabs to view when there are larger number of sheets, which forces additional
navigation between tabs using the arrows instead of just being able to click on
the tab.

Likewise I note that the formula bar has an increased default height, again
eating into available workspace to view. It might also help to be able to move
a toolbar to the right of the Help menu item where there is plenty of free
space.

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mroden...@yahoo.co.uk

Description:
I'm told this is the place to make a feature request.

I'm aware this suggestion would no doubt mean a massive change to the way
styles are implemented and the whole architecture of the apps! So it's really
just an aspiration.

My thinking is just this: in Writer, for example, thinking about Character
styles, say you create a style called "emphasis", which maybe applies italic.

Then you create another, called "strong", which maybe applies bold.

It's a perfectly normal thing to have some text which needs emphasising overlap
with some text which needs to be strong. You shouldn't have to create a style
called "strong-emphasis".

The same thinking could be extrapolated to Paragraph and Page styles, and no
doubt also to other applications...
