[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128763] New: Libre Office very slow if Offline Help installed
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128763 Bug ID: 128763 Summary: Libre Office very slow if Offline Help installed Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: acm@bigpond.com Description: Fresh install of LO 6.2.8.2 (x64) on WIN 10 (1903) works normally. After subsequently installing the matching file, the loading of, and creation of, Calc and Writer files is very slow. The changing of LO Options invloves significant lag to both selection of an option and any change to the option element. Working within the Calc and Writer files also involves significant lag in selecting any element and changing of cell/written content. Un-installing the offline help file removes all of these adverse characteristics and operation of Calc and Writer returns to normal. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install LO 6.2.8.2 2. Install Offline Help File 3. Actual Results: Help pack installation introduces slow behaviour and significant lag rendering operation of the software unusable. Expected Results: There should have been no change to the operation of the software after help pack installation Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.2.8.2 (x64) Build ID: f82ddfca21ebc1e222a662a32b25c0c9d20169ee CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: en-AU (en_AU); UI-Language: en-GB -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128749] Macro security level not displayed correctly in non-gtk3 backends
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128749 --- Comment #3 from Justin L --- The problem in this scenario is something like this: 1.) VeryHigh is the last item to be processed. High (which IsChecked()) has already been processed and has ImplUncheckAllOther() which turns off tabstop as well. 2.) A label change for VeryHigh initiated a statechange, which re-initializes the button, turning tabstop on again. 3.) MacroSecurityLevelTP correctly identifes "High" as the mnCurLevel, and sets it active. However, since High is already marked as IsChecked, no state change occurs, and so nothing triggers the initialized tabstop to be removed from VeryHigh. (Although ImplUncheckAllOther() has already run many times, it still needs to be run this time, after all the initalization has been finalized.) A very ugly work-around would be for MacroSecurityLevelTP to: if (pCheck) { //ensure state is fully toggled... pCheck->set_active(false); pCheck->set_active(true); } -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121284 --- Comment #18 from Marco A.G.Pinto --- @NARAYAN The UK speller maintained by me accepts the prefix "pre": - pre-school; - pre-house. etc. In words with hyphen, Hunspell only accept them if they are in the speller or if the words around the hyphens are valid. So, all one has to do is to add "pre" to the speller. I have done so in UK, but it seems Kevin Atkinson hasn't done the same, at least in the US one which I tested moments ago. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121284] Dictionary quality issues
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121284 --- Comment #14 from NARAYAN --- It still exists. See attachment. However in https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/pre-, this is how the preposition "Pre" defined. Perhaps as language evolves, it is better for user to add to dictionary and as such if enough people add similar spelled words, it can be updated. After all language is defined by people, contemporary to their times and not set in stone for eternity. Also , it would be a good idea to add a function or a feature to not just populate suggestions from one dictionary set, but a "search alternative spellings" button or next step to resolving this or similar situations. While typing the following 3 words, the chrome browser for me flagged this as incorrect spelling. Now they have a feature called enhanced spell check. So under that, when i turned it ON, the below all shows as correct spelling. Preapproved , Pre-Approved, Pre APPROVED _- ALL AUTO corrected to correct spelling when i adjusted my browser to enhanced spell check. So that is one feature i am suggesting to either borrow this feature , integrate with google enhanced spell check API ( Not sure how well it works for other NON -English languages) .. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74580] FILEOPEN: Add option to disable import dialog when opening a CSV file (see comment #13)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74580 --- Comment #51 from Gareth --- To set up the workaround described in Comment 47 so that it works in Windows, you need to edit the file association. Windows makes this unreasonably difficult to do, but luckily there is a freeware tool, Nirsoft's FileTypeMan, which you can download at: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/file_types_manager.html First, make sure CSVs are already opened with LibreOffice. If not, open a CSV using "Open with..." and "Always use this app" to choose LibreOffice. Unzip and run FileTypeMan, and navigate to the CSV extension. I recommend maximising the window for ease of use. In the top half of window, click on the entry for CSV. There should now be one line in the bottom half, called "open" with a command line pointing to LibreOffice. Select this line and choose Edit Selected Action (f3). Now edit the command line, by adding between the app name and "%1", the following parameter: --infilter="Text - txt - csv (StarCalc)":44,34,0,1 with a space either side, so in the end the command line should look like: "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\scalc.exe" --infilter="Text - txt - csv (StarCalc)":44,34,0,1 "%1" (May vary slightly depending where LibreOffice is on your PC.) Click OK, and try double clicking a few CSVs. If it worked, you'll see no more pesky dialogs. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128762] New: Spurious Shift+Backspace entry in keyboard shortcut list
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128762 Bug ID: 128762 Summary: Spurious Shift+Backspace entry in keyboard shortcut list Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.8.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ming.v@qq.com In Writer's Tool -> Customize... dialog, Keyboard tab (making sure "Writer" is selected instead of "LibreOffice"), the "Shortcut keys" box shows all the available keyboard shortcuts. Corresponding Shift+Backspace (one can press Shift+Backspace combination when the focus is in the "Shortcut keys" box, or just simply scroll down to its place) entry, the place where an LO function is supposed to be, shows an useless "Shift+Backspace". While Shift+Backspace is special in other modules (e.g., it undos selection in Calc), it doesn't seem to do anything special in Writer, and just works like Backspace. If indeed Shift+Backspace is not used in Writer, this entry should be cleared and left empty. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128752] FILEOPEN DOCX Paragraph in table gets extra 0.35 cm spacing after
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128752 Regina Henschel changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel --- I think, it is an error in Word. The paragraph has a direct setting . A value for 'after' is not specified. So the rule "If this attribute is omitted on a given paragraph, the value of the setting it represents is the value previously set in the style hierarchy." (ISO/IEC 29500-1:2016, page 249). Looking into the style hierarchy, you find a value in the element docDefaults, it is 'after="10pt"'. Because of vertical space collapsing of paragraphs, the effective distance is 10pt. And that is the 3.53mm, that LibreOffice renders. If the direct setting has an attribute 'after="0pt"', then LibreOffice takes it, and renders the 5.5pt from the next paragraph. That is the formal part. Of cause a user has a different view on the problem, and we need to decide, whether we will follow the bug of Word to please the customer. And how to do it in that case.
