[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104960] EDITING: mouse cursor activated when editing a text box
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104960 --- Comment #5 from QA Administrators --- Dear n.prongue, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126887] Paragraph Style Inheritance Bug: Derived styles of Heading 1..10 missing "Chapter Numbering" List Style used by Chapter Numbering Feature
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126887 --- Comment #7 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- What INFO is NEEDed? I understand that this was a bug report and not an enhancement request. The OP is surprised that making a new (heading) style does not retain the Chapter Numbering. Add a step 5 and 6 to the procedure in comment #0 -- 5. Tools>Chapter Numbering, select Level, select Paragraph style "MySpecialHeading 1", OK. 6. Open the modify style dialog for the "MySpecialHeading 1" style. Under "Outline & Numbering" tab observe that "Numbering Style" is equal to "Chapter Numbering". If that is what Jason expected, then maybe this is NAB. If meant as enhancement request: Chapter Numbering is not a style to be selected. It appears only when Tools>Chapter Numbering is used. Only one paragraph style can be selected for Level 1 in Chapter Numbering. If this Numbering Style were "inherited", then each time a new Heading 1 (child) is made, it would (in effect) "override" the existing setting of the Paragraph Style in the Chapter Numbering. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128708] enhancement request, UI:, it is important to give the user a hint if wrong or outdated results are displayed
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128708 b. changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|NEW --- Comment #5 from b. --- hello Timur, after Heiko's comment i'm waiting patiently if there is any progress in this bug or in thoose 'related', that's easy for this bug, as it's not an urgent problem, with other bugs - that i find more urgent because they produce wrong results - i am occasionally faced with the decision whether it is less bad to warm up an old bug or create a new one. It seems that depending on what I do, a forum member might think the other decision would have been better ... but I have to make a decision before I can get opinions on it. My gut feeling says that it would be more efficient to fix bugs than to manage them and their duplicates for years. if there would be an option to present findings to 'pros' and let them decide where to place them i'd happily use that. reg. b. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129169] HELP: "Selecting a new color" page needs to improve "To access this command..." section.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129169 --- Comment #4 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #0) > Calc (by the way, why is it Background, when in all other places, we seem to > settle to Area?), etc. As an empirical observation: "Background" tab is used for "Pages" (in Draw and Calc), "Slides (in Impress), "Cells" (in Calc), cells in "Tables" -- where the color is really a background. (and where Calc has limited offerings, Color and sometimes Bitmap) While "Area" refers to delimited "objects" (like Shapes, Paragraphs, Frames, etc.) (i.e., not Backgrounds). Suggestions #6 and #7 in comment #3 propose a way to handle these variations. (The one exception is that Writer uses "Area" for Pages -- and maybe that should be changed to Background -- for intermodule consistency.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129360] IDE cannot get the content of structs in the watch window
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129360 --- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel --- Created attachment 157079 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=157079&action=edit Macro to access a shape in Draw I have tested current daily Version: 6.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: ce685f64f38551e7984155783c9c7660d986abf6 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US Calc: CL The problem is not solved. Start Draw and insert a shape. Open Basic IDE (Tools > Macro > Edit Macro). Use a new module. Delete all content of the module. The basic IDE has an icon "Import Basic"; import the attached macros. Set a breakpoint in line "dummy=1" in sub "examineShape_inDraw". Go back to document, but keep IDE open. Select the shape, then press Alt+F11. Chose the macro "examineShape_inDraw" and run it. Go back to IDE. Set cursor in "oShape" and press F7 to add the variable to the watch window. The watch window shows a tree with several + branches. Try them out. Some work, some not. For example not working are: Style, CustomShapeGeometry->CustomShapeGeometry(0), LineEnd, Size, Position. Do the same in a version about 6 weeks ago, to see how it should work, e.g. in Version: 6.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 790b5de8941d8f8d98c73ed1343289d7220211ad CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: de-DE (en_US); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded This is a severe regression and makes debugging a pain. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129169] HELP: "Selecting a new color" page needs to improve "To access this command..." section.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129169 --- Comment #3 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- @Mike – I have changed what I could to improve the ‟To access ...” the Area tab. But I do not have relevant knowledge to make the other proposed changes in Comment #2. >From making the changes, have discovered some additional points: 1. The "To access this command..." in the shared Area tab (/text/shared/01/05210100.xhp) only embeds from the Format menu (section #flaeche2) (but some non-format menu items – ‟View Styles” and ‟Table” are also included there – which I have left). Suggestion #5: If the idea is to embed ‟access” commands from relevant ‟menu” pages, then some items should be moved from #flaeche2 into appropriate ‟menu” pages and then embedded into the Area tab page (/shared/01/05210100.xhp). 2. In relation to the previous point: included in #flaeche2 are: (for draw) Page - Properties - Background - tab and (impress) Slide - Properties - Background - tab. Suggestion #6: Maybe there should be a separate page for "Background" tab for Draw and Impress (which uses the same contents) as the Area tab. (Have left these commands in #flaeche2 to be embedded in the Area tab for now.) 3. The Calc "background" tab only has buttons for None, Color and Bitmap (for Page Style) and only None and Color (for Format Cells). Not a good idea to use the Area tab help page (/shared/01/05210100.xhp) because then users would also expect to find Gradient, Pattern, and Hatch). For now I have added Format – Cells – Background – to the Area tab (as a temporary solution). Suggestion 7: Should probably be a separate Calc-specific page, rather than using the Area tab. Or if Suggestion #6 is followed, conditional statements could be used to only show Calc-relevant items. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129669] Allow editing of outline level in paragraph style, when Chapter Numbering numbering style is used
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129669 --- Comment #3 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2) > I'm afraid of unexpected side-effects like Dieter. But since there was > agreement in bug 129668 it's likely the same here. Bug #129688 is a cosmetic UI improvement. Not related at all to this report. To elaborate a little. Chapter Numbering (was apparently) a solution to provide a simple interface that could handle most everyday use (without requiring the user to know about styles, outline levels, etc.). "Levels" in the Chapter Numbering Dialog refer to Numbering Style. It is not the same "Level" as the Outline Level. At present, it is not possible to "choose" Chapter Numbering Style. It appears only if Heading [1-10] are chosen. If it were possible to also set Outline Level (for Heading 1-10, then one could, for example, use Heading 6-10 for assigning (arbitrarily) any numbering level. This could potentially also provide a "workaround" for bug #42920 and bug #62032 -- which in part motivated this OP.) At present, is is not possible to assign a numbering level greater than 1 to a paragraph style. The Chapter Numbering dialog is the only place where this linking between outline level and numbering level is possible. In effect, this OP is using an existing dialog box to introduce this possibility in a limited way (only Heading 1-10 can be used). In an ideal future -- wouldn't there would be a dialog box where both outline level and numbering level could be added to a paragraph style? (where then it might be relevant to "revert" this OP -- which is largely a workaround). (maybe this "outline level" editing possibility could be restricted to "heading 6-10" -- to reduce surprises for unsuspecting users, while offering more flexibility for knowledgeable ones.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
