[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121484] Notebookbar: Tabbed variant for Math
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121484 --- Comment #11 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Benedikt Bieringer from comment #9) > V Stuart Foote: Actually, the issue of bug 121484 is not that the item bar > is missing, but that the NB bar above still remains visible and clickable > and buttons in that bar are behaving in ways a user would not expect. A > result from this is that the active NB bar suggests there would be an > intuitive way to change font size, which there is not. Edits to these formula OLE objects, or formula layout changes, can only be made from the Math formula edit module which remains non-UI and incompatible with MUFFIN Absent the needed refactoring to implement Formula editor in UNO controls (for NB and/or Sidebar deck)... 1. it would help to hold the NB bar on the 'Object' tab on launch of the OLE editor, rather than shifting the NB bar to the 'Home' tab--holding the NB static. 2. approach might be to disable all controls on the NB and visually grey them out--just while the sm Math OLE formula edit is active, its main menu and GUI panels--to leave the NB bar visible but suppressed. 3. on return from the OLE edit, restore function of the NB bar controls, and allow the NB tab focus to return to 'Home' It does most of this now, just that the controls are not disabled, and we get the visual shift from the 'Object' tab to the 'Home' NB tab which is useless as none of the controls function. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130184] New: why does parallelized computing start up from 100 cells, for distributing on cores a power of two would be more reasonable?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130184 Bug ID: 130184 Summary: why does parallelized computing start up from 100 cells, for distributing on cores a power of two would be more reasonable? Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: newbie...@gmx.de Description: from playing around with bugs 124577 and 129753 i have the idea that the use of 'threaded' and / or 'openCL' computing is somewhere hardcoded to step in up from 100 rows with identical formulas, (former versions of calc had an option switch to choose the value), i assume that value is choosen to balance the perfomance benefit from parallelizing against the effort to divide and dispatch the jobs, but why 100? that's a logical threshold value for humans, but computers rely on powers of two? thus i think either 64 or 128 will fit better as decisive point whether to use or avoid parallelizing? or maybe other powers of two? as this area needs a workthrough anyway, to get out the autocalculate errors, it might be appropriate to process that in one wash? just an idea ... reg. b. Steps to Reproduce: 1. no real 'bug' to be seen, 2. just an idea about meaningful design, 3. analysis materil may be found in mentioned bug reports, Actual Results: an arbitrary 'humane' value is established Expected Results: might be an 'computer fair' value would fit better? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130183] New: Can't see or modify fo:border-bottom paragraph-properties
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130183 Bug ID: 130183 Summary: Can't see or modify fo:border-bottom paragraph-properties Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bugs.documentfoundation@ch.pkts.ca Description: I've loaded a .docx file into LibreOffice and tried to change a header that has an underline, but I can't. I brought up the properties sidebar, and there's no visible difference in properties between this header and some nearby text that would explain the presence or absence of the underline. I saved the file as a Flat XML ODF Text Document, found the text, found the property, and saw that it uses fo:border-bottom="1.5pt solid #FF". Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a document with one word, and save it as a .fodt file. 2. Edit the file manually and modify the style of that word by adding a text-properties style of fo:border-bottom="1.5pt solid #FF" 3. Load the document and see the red underline 4. Try to change the red underline to blue Actual Results: There's no way to view or edit the red underline. Expected Results: I'd like to create, read, update and delete the red underline. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Actually, I'd like all of the fo:border-* properties to be editable, because I don't like having the MS Word folks say "Oooo, look at what we can do and you can't! (-: Obviously , you are talking about Writer, but the component of this bug report is Draw! And even in Writer it is not the key point that the new paragraph style is created from the existing one (there's always a style, at least the default style): select an entire paragraph and set another colour, then use the command, in Writer it works with the menu as well as with the sidebar. The new style will use the colour set beforehand, the new style is created using the atttributes set manually, when they differ from the old style. That's the meaning of this command! The reason for the command being grayed out in Writer when selecting a drawing object is, that there are no drawing styles in Writer! And, as I said, the sidebar command is working in Draw, so there's no misunderstanding the command, the function seems simply not be called from the menu entry. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130180] New: copying sheets, even together, breaks formulas that link between them

Instead they point back to the originals. With many such formulas it is hard-to-impossible to fix them all without error. A good test is to create a spreadsheet with two sheets, and create formulas between them. Then "select all sheets" and copy to a new empty spreadsheet. Issues were not described. I tested in LO 7.0+ and compared to MSO 2013. Generally this 2007 DOCX opens fine except for 2 issues: 1. MSO is 4 pages and LO 5 pages; already seen in page 2 for the whole paragraph (“Reliability managing this data ..). Same 5 pages if DOCX resaved in MSO. We had 4 pages in OO 3.3 but it didn't look good, there were no footers. So I concluded that this was never the same as in MSO. This is more implementationError. I add screenshot from MSO and LO 7.0+ where page 2 is better seen. Footer size in LO is not correct for Footer - Section 2 from MSO. That looks like the cause and I'll rename. 2. Footer is different with double "Microsft" in LO; but that's already in bug 69686, so let's keep it there (which is later but opened for that issue). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
