https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131523 --- Comment #4 from Aron Budea --- Thanks for the detailed explanation, Regina! Clicking on the > image will always select the entire image and not a part of it. Only if you > "Break" an svg image, it will be converted into a collection of its child > elements. Then you can select the rectangle itself. If it was opened for embedding in a drawing, then I'd understand why the entire image is a single object, but it's opened for editing. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98886 --- Comment #7 from QA Administrators --- Dear Alexander, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131726] New: RTL paragraphs aligned-left in cross-reference dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131726 Bug ID: 131726 Summary: RTL paragraphs aligned-left in cross-reference dialog Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.5 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: eyal...@technion.ac.il Blocks: 43808 When you insert a cross-reference, a dialog comes up for selecting what you'll be referring to. I won't comment on the dialog's design in general, only about the list of items of the chosen category (headings, numbered paragraphs etc). This list is presented in plain text - which is ok, but it's directed LTR and aligned left-to-right. It is kept on a single line. What this means is, that instead of seeing the _beginning_ of the paragraph, or line, or heading, you see its _end_. To see the beginning you need to scroll to the right - but it's a different amount of scrolling for each item, because they're not all aligned at the beginning. That also means you don't see the number except on shorter paragraphs, and for the current item, which also appears at the bottom and is thankfully right-aligned if its in an RTL language. An example of this in the cross-reference selection dialog is attached. This is actually a really old issue, probably from before v5, and I'm pretty sure I saw it on Windows too. Right now I'm seeing it with v6.4.0.3 release on Devuan GNU/Linux. Devs already know it but need > more information to tackle each leak. Hi, Julien, and thanks for the reply. I'm making some progress on this: I monitored the memory usage while closing a couple of the files at a time. I *think* that I've found the file that must be the problem. It'd be best to be able to attach it here, but I can't, since it's a text I'm using by permission from someone who will end up publishing it later. But, here are some specifics about the suspect file: **Written in .doc format, saved by me into libreoffice and annotated after that. (Maybe I should have said this in response to your first comment?) **Almost entirely polytonic Greek, with some English and other languages mixed in. **32 pages, 9 characters, 500+ footnotes I searched for problems involving special characters and memory usage in libreoffice and found this: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/157664/slow-typing-and-high-cpu-usage-after-a-certain-point/, which suggests that using shift-enter for a newline can cause an issue. Well, it looks like in my document everything is paragraphed correctly; at least, when I turn on view->formatting marks, I can see paragraph symbols after each paragraph. Let me know if you need the file itself to comment further. I could probably obfuscate the contents somehow. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125268] Wrong text highlight color when export document to doc/docx
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125268 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #50 from V Stuart Foote --- I have to agree with Tamás that this is exhausting--at 5.0 release, for bug 64490 we implemented filter import of both Highlighting and Shading from .doc/docx as LibreOffice Character background. Changing defaults for the export filter mode back and forth, between MSO Highlighting vs. MSO Shading, makes little sense--we changed it for the better at 5.0, leave it that way. Export to MSO Shading remains a user selectable option. The addition now of the mso-highlight.soc (or even rename it mso-compatability-highlight.soc) pallet was a logical addition for interoperability in the GUI, so that the default Highlight mode color would behave on round trip. +1 for > 5.0 status quo and retention MSO Highlight compatibility mode by default. Addition he mso-highlight.soc, with the 15 fixed colors that MSO supports, helps the GUI for the color pickers. But these MSO swatches should not be mixed into the standard.soc which was reworked to support RYB additive color model, they don't belong. Rather, the MSO Highlight colors need to remain in a distinct palette--maybe suppressed for use when needed just for MSO Highlight mode--or globally available to the color pickers as now, but not added to the standard.soc So, please revert https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/90909 it is a backward step in interoperability. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
