[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132831] New: Finish button has no effect when using form creation wizard at the end of creation process. UI.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132831 Bug ID: 132831 Summary: Finish button has no effect when using form creation wizard at the end of creation process. UI. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ka1...@gmail.com Description: I've recently upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 and LibreOffice 6.4.3.2 and tried to add a form to an existing data base using the form creation wizard. When I get to the final page of the procedure and click on the Finish button, nothing much happens. The Cancel button gets highlighted and the dialog just sits there. The other buttons seem to work. The only way out is to click Cancel, but that doesn't save the form. I seem to have this problem in a previously created database under an earlier version of Base and a database created with this latest version. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the form creation wizard. 2. Create a form as usual. 3. Click the Finish button at the end of the creation process. Actual Results: I was able to progress through the steps to create a form. At the end of the procedure, I pressed the Finish button and the Cancel button was highlighted. Subsequently clicking Finish had no effect. The only way out of the dialog was to press the Cancel button and abort the creation process. Expected Results: Upon clicking Finish, the creation dialog should have gone away and the form should have been open for data entry. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 6.4.3.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129330] Change Arabic diacritics' colours separate from base font colour?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129330 --- Comment #8 from Khaled Hosny --- Coloring marks independent of their bases does not work correctly in LibreOffice, see bug 71956. Fixing this will require refactoring how text color is handled in LibreOffice since right now it is tied to the font, and different color means a different font internally and OpenType text layout does not work across fonts, so positing and other layout features will be broken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132770] Underline words from HTML document do not appear
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132770 --- Comment #1 from Konstantin Kharlamov --- I have debugged this for a bit, to give some update: it looks like LO Writer has support for tag. So what happens here seems to be an actual bug (I mean, missing support for basic tag would be one too, but it could've been fixed much easier). At the moment I figured that the difference between when "italic" and "underline" are parsed is the content of `pCFormat` being assigned as: SwCharFormat* pCFormat = m_pCSS1Parser->GetChrFormat( nToken, aClass ); Its field pCFormat->m_aSet has 3 members in case of italic: 11 = { > = { = { = { _vptr.SfxPoolItem = 0x7ff263673c70 , m_nRefCount = 2, m_nWhich = 11, m_nKind = SfxItemKind::NONE }, }, members of SfxEnumItem: m_nValue = ITALIC_NORMAL }, }, … 25 = { > = { = { = { _vptr.SfxPoolItem = 0x7ff263673c70 , m_nRefCount = 2, m_nWhich = 25, m_nKind = SfxItemKind::NONE }, }, members of SfxEnumItem: m_nValue = ITALIC_NORMAL }, }, 26 = 0x0, … 29 = 0x0, 30 = { > = { = { = { _vptr.SfxPoolItem = 0x7ff263673c70 , m_nRefCount = 2, m_nWhich = 30, m_nKind = SfxItemKind::NONE }, }, members of SfxEnumItem: m_nValue = ITALIC_NORMAL }, }, But in case of underlined it is all zeroes. Not sure just yet what to make of it. Doesn't help though is that gdb is like trying to explode while loading the office. It quickly grew to 2.2GB and hanged for 5 minutes on printing the field, so I had to -SIGKILL it in the end. I am wondering if it can be cause by pretty-printers of LibreOffice and whatnot. Just open the file, hit the Enter key in the "Text Import" dialog that appears, done! Since 6.4.3, this doesn't work any more. Pressing Enter in the Text Import dialog now opens a dropdown list of Character sets. The cause is that the default focus in that dialog is not the OK button, but the Character Set dropdown. For those who do/ not use a mouse now requires pressing Tab 19 times till the focus is on the OK button, followed by the Enter. Steps to Reproduce: Either 1. In Calc: press Alt+F O, pick any CSV file, hit Enter. 2. The Text Import dialog appears. Hit Enter. Or: 1. From commandline: xdg-open somefile.csv 2. The Text Import dialog appears. Hit Enter. Actual Results: A long drop down list of Character Encodings opens. Expected Results: The dialog closes, and the CSV is open in Calc. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131654] Provide a live preview of changes when creating or editing a pivot table
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131654 --- Comment #5 from Jean-François Fortin Tam --- Just a thought: if I recall correctly, Excel does the live previewing directly on the canvas (essentially WYSIWYG) instead of in the properties dialog. Have you considered this avenue? Probably more complex to implement though. Your mockup is a step in the right direction with the fact that the "Available Fields" portion is on the left instead of the right, I already like that change; maybe then it's a matter of styling + headers to make it more evident, with a vertical separator (or sidebar styling, somehow) between that area and the rest? As for the notion of "targets" and add/remove arrow buttons, this could be complex and a bit cluttered from a UI interaction perspective. Wouldn't it be simpler and cleaner to have the drag-and-drop nature of the dialog be made more evident than the current implementation, for example having the "Drag the Items into the Desired position" label be repositioned at the top, left-aligned, with clearer wording ("Drag items from the available fields into the desired column, row or data fields")? Or perhaps that label could be put right underneath the "Available Fields:" header, but then this wouldn't reflect the fact that you can drag from any area to any other area. The alternative — if you prefer to save space, eliminate the "Available Fields is not visually distinct enough from other field areas" problem, and not strictly depend on drag-and-drop — is to use inline toolbars and GtkPopover widgets (and the equivalent on other platforms). For instance, under each of Column, Row and Data field listview widgets, you could have a small toolbar (with the "inline-toolbar" styling class) containing these standard inline buttons: +, -, top, up, down, bottom ...and clicking the + would open a GtkPopover containing the list of "Available Fields" to add into the current field area. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The only way to get really useful debug information generally is by using a debug-enabled macOS build of LO. As these are not provided (at least I don't think they are) in the daily builds, the only other way is to build yourself from source code with the debug enabled switch. Other than that, you might be able to find at least some kind of information via the Console.app, and searching through the log files. If LibreOffice crashes, there is usually some kind of log left behind in the system, which might contain information of use. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
