[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137036] New: Creation of animation by insertion in impress does not work
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137036 Bug ID: 137036 Summary: Creation of animation by insertion in impress does not work Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1 all versions Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: hy531...@gmail.com Description: Creation of animation by insertion in impress does not work properly. I'm not talking about the animation effect of an offject. Insert media from the "Formula, photo album, etc.,animation" section. Generate animation creation as a bitmap object. For example, draw a pegier curve in a rectangle and select all of them. Then, create it frame by frame. When you create an animation, the rectangle and other shapes are not reflected, and only the lines remain as a frame image. The image size is recognized as a frame area, but the lines and colors are not reflected in the image. Libreoffice 5.3* is fine Libreoffice 6.1* and later have a problem. Even the latest 7.* has not been improved. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Steps to Reproduce: 1.Operated from the Insert Media item in the command bar. 2.Generate animation creation as a bitmap object. 3.For example, draw a line in a rectangle and select all of them. 4.Create a group as a bitmap object, frame by frame. Actual Results: When the animation is created, the shapes are not reflected, and only the lines remain in the frame image. The image size is recognized as a frame area, but the lines and colors are not reflected in the image. Expected Results: The selected drawing should be reflected in the image. If a line is drawn within the same rectangle to specify the size of the frame, the line is drawn at a fixed scale and becomes a parapara animation. However, the background and so on are blank and do not work properly at all. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I investigated mainly the ver6.1* system, ver5.3* can create animated GIFs correctly, as the presentation function works normally with my specification. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136278] The left arrow key causes objects to disappear.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136278 --- Comment #11 from Mark --- I ran it in flatpak, but the bug was still there. Does that tell us anything interesting? Does that mean I should go bother Canonical? System76? The Debian Project? Does this mean The Document Foundation doesn’t consider this their problem? Ubuntu and its forks are very popular. I would think that if LibreOffice doesn’t run reliably on them, The Document Foundation would consider that a problem. This is a big bug. I’ve only shown you a manifestation that is easily reproduced in a small file. I’ve seen others. What’s the next move? Is it yours or mine? It occurs to me that notourbug might be premature. There might be a bug after a line that looked something like this: #ifdef DEBIAN That would be a LibreOffice bug that was restricted to the Debian family of distributions, which is consistent with what we see. If the problem was in Ubuntu, and if the Document Foundation took it on, you could do the following: Step 1: Identify the call within Impress that Ubuntu was responding to inappropriately. Step 2: Report the bug to Canonical. I can only do step 2. In that case it would be entirely reasonable for Canonical to say, “This is a bug within LibreOffice.” Without step 1 I could end up with The Document Project and Canonical pointing fingers at each other, and the bug going unresolved. Yet another thing occurs to me. Note that BogdanB could not reproduce the bug in anything prior to 6.4.4.1. This suggests that something happened between 6.4.3.2 and 6.4.4.1 that made it incompatible with Ubuntu. That would make it your bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136012 sergio.calleg...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #6 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- I apologize for the issues that I may have caused. I am really no devoted reporter, or at least I'd rather not be. I am a mere user of linux and LibO in a huge education institution that pays and gives for free MS Office to all its staff and students. While I see some value in exposing my colleagues and students to an open source tool, showing it can be used for our daily work, and occasionally trying to help them (e.g., attempting to make their problem into reproducible steps to report), this is not really my daily business or something that I earn from, rather an extra that often risks conflicting with my limited time resources. In this sense, it is also volunteer work. As such it is a bit striking to realize that it really ends up conflicting with other volunteer work in place of leading to something useful. Testing with daily master is really impossible for me. Because the reporting is something I do at home, I cannot really afford downloading 300MB each time and the best I can do is testing on tip of still (on which I usually work) and of fresh (that I try early, to make sure I'll not encounter disruption when it gets still). What I can certainly do is a bit more testing with other VCLs. For the issue ad hand, I do not see it anymore on the test document either (now on 7.0.2.1). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137035] New: Left page style not allowed when inserting manual break and resetting page numbering to 1.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137035 Bug ID: 137035 Summary: Left page style not allowed when inserting manual break and resetting page numbering to 1. Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dr2867.busin...@pacbell.net Description: I am writing a technical document that is to be published to PDF. It is not to be printed. When I try to insert a manual break and reset the page numbering to 1, the new page is always on the right instead of falling to either right or left. When I try to force the issue by inserting a manual break and telling it to use the left page and to start the page numbering at 1, it throws an error telling me that I can't do that. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new document. 2. Go to Format -> Page Styles 3. In the Header tab, Turn on the header Uncheck "Same content on left/right pages" Uncheck "Same content on first page" 4. Goto Insert -> More Breaks -> Manual Break. Select Page Break Under Page Style, select left page Check "Change page number" Set new page number to 1. 5. Click OK. Actual Results: An information box appears explaining that it's not allowed. Expected Results: A new page that is on the left side with page number starting at 1. I associate 'contour' with outline. Not filling the > center of the shape Ah, I misinterpreted the short description in comment 0. The current behavior is intended and a change would cause countless bug reports to bring back the old status. I'm with Andreas. The behavior should not be changed as it's logical that all white space or transparent space should be filled with text with 'contour'. That's the sense of it. Where should be drawn the line? For example, between the arrows in the test file there is space. Is this space part of the 'outer' border of the image? How big should this space be to be not part of the border for the contour? A change seems not intuitive and a hell for devs. Therefore I close this issue as Notabug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137034 Bug ID: 137034 Summary: SIDEBAR: regression, sidebar grows too large when the gallery is opened in impress/draw Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com Description: In impress and draw, selecting the gallery in the sidebar makes the sidebar too large. In fact, so large that it is impossible to work. First seen in 7.0.2.1. Think that 7.0.1.2 was OK, but cannot be sure, used for too little. 6.4.x is OK. The issue is present in the kde5 and gen VCLs, but not in the GTK3 one. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Optional. Start with a new profile to be sure that the issue is not related to a stale profile 2. Open libreoffice --draw 3. Go to the sidebar and select the gallery Actual Results: The sidebar expands in width to accommodate the gallery until it covers half of the computer screen. The actual drawing or slide you were working on remains compressed in a tiny space, insufficient for editing. To make the matter worse, trying to reduce the sidebar width when the gallery made it so huge typically is merely impossible, but in some cases leads to weird issues such as LibO taking up 100% CPU or crashing or the sidebar disappearing completely. When the latter thing happens, trying to re-expand it or to toggle its appearance does not work. At this point, restarting LibO gives you no sidebar at all until the profile is reset. Expected Results: The gallery should not make the sidebar take an unreasonable amount of space. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63368 --- Comment #16 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- Unfortunately on my system the problem is still there, even if it manifests slightly differently: 1) Open test doc 2) Note top of cloud picture halfway through the second row. Also note that the mid top handle of the cloud is on the cloud. 3) Put the cursor in A1 at the end of the word "foo". Press CTRL+ENTER 20 times to add 20 empty rows in the cell. Now the first row is much taller, but the top of the cloud is still halfway through the second row of the spreadsheet 4) Press CTRL-Z to undo the last change. Now the first row is back to a 1-line height. However, the cloud is now vertically mispositioned (top of the cloud is close to the bottom of the second row). Also note that the mid top handle of the cloud is slightly above the top of the cloud. ... at least on my system with LibO 7.0.2.1 Not a dramatic issue, but a burden if you have a spreadsheet with logos that must be accurately text aligned and someone does a lot of editing and undoes that end up messing the alignments... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137031] "File Associations" Option header without any options shown
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137031 --- Comment #3 from Jim Avera --- Ah. The dialog *has no scroll bar* like other things which have off-screen content, so it is not obvious that there is anything more to see; and the OS provides no border or resize handles/corner indicator because it is a modal pop-up. Why not make pop-ups always large enough to hold all their content? The limitation is available screen size, which "in general" could be quite small, for example in a Virtual Machine the user can make the virtual desktop any size. Currently LO's pop-ups and menus are not usable if the screen is too small to contain all their content. The exception is in Writer where tool-bar drop-downs now auto-cascade very nicely according to how wide the LO window is. However the primary menus (File, Edit, ... https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137033 Bug ID: 137033 Summary: FILESAVE Shape anchored to "cell with resize" has wrong end offset if its area contains a hidden row Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de Created attachment 165853 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=165853&action=edit File for reproducing the bug Open attached file. It has three shapes. All of them are anchored as "To cell (resize with cell)". The blue shape is the "original" rectangle. The green shape was created from it by slant with 45° and to get the olive shape this was then rotated by 60°. Hide row 7. The shapes adapt as expected. Save the file using File > Save a copy. Keep the current file open. Now open the saved file and compare it with the already open file. You will notice the distortion immediately. If a shape is anchored as "To cell (resize with cell)", then position and size is given in the file by start and end cell and offsets relative to the left top corner of start and end cell. If a shape gets a transformation, LibreOffice starts with a rectangle, that has the cell corner as left/top corner, and LibreOffice integrates the needed shift into the final translation. >From the values in the file I guess, that it was forgotten to subtract the start offset values from the end offset, when instead the start offset the values 0|0 are used. So the initial rectangle is too wide and too high. The blue rectangle is not transformed and has a different error, I guess for that shape the import is wrong. I have only kept it in the example file, that you can reproduce, how the green and olive shapes were generated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137015] FILEOPEN MS Excel 2003 XML fails when having double UTF-8 BOM
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137015 --- Comment #2 from plasticass...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Maxim Monastirsky from comment #1) > (In reply to plasticassius from comment #0) Good catch about the BOM, I hadn't looked at that at all. Apparently I had removed both BOMs along with the version tag, which made it import correctly. I can also confirm that removing one BOM or both BOMs, but not the version tag also makes it import correctly. > > $soffice --headless --infilter="MS Excel 2003 XML" --convert-to ods file.xls The only reason I showed the output of this line is that it helped me debug what was going on. I don't know much about how files get opened, and I wasn't sure how to get a more specific error message about why the open was failing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132842] Gallery shape is filled with text when enabling contour for page wrap
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132842 --- Comment #7 from andreas_k --- (In reply to Telesto from comment #6) > Created attachment 165852 [details] > Screencast > > Still reproducible.. I associate 'contour' with outline. Not filling the > center of the shape The main goal is that you should/can add gallery items into your document and with select all you can change area fill and line style and everything would be fine. So fix wrap, would make issues with styling and I prefer styling. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
