I guess they keep a hack. But not to be expected from LO to do the same. DOC and DOCX open consistently in LO, similar to DOCX in MSO. I usually close those bugs and I'll do it also here. With many real bugs, not realistic to expect that someone will hack single case of DOC. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107055] FILEOPEN: DOCX DOC Font Spacing Issue with Effect:Small Cap
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107055 --- Comment #17 from Timur --- Created attachment 167017 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=167017&action=edit attachment 81684 compared attachment 81684 doesn't have kerning in MSO, seen good with kerning in LO. But that's a workaround, not a solution. Table is too tight for content, same if Resize is turned off, same if font Cambria changed to Liberation in MSO, same with small or regular caps (so bug title not good). Seems that LO doesn't read or apply "Automatically resize to fit contents". Table can be manually widened in MSO to be good in LO (not a solution). (IMO it's better to keep DOC and DOCX here. Easy to open another if one is resolved.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137999] New: Changing motion path's proportion doesn't change file's "modified" status
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137999 Bug ID: 137999 Summary: Changing motion path's proportion doesn't change file's "modified" status Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ming.v@qq.com Blocks: 109362 Created attachment 167016 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=167016&action=edit Sample file with a motion path animation Description: Changing an element's motion path, by dragging the shape of the path, should change the file's "modified" status and offer to save on exit if the user hasn't saved after changing the motion path. But currently LO doesn't ask if the file needs to be saved, and the change will be lost on exit. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the attached sample file, it has a text box on a circular motion path; 2. Click on the motion path indicated by gray dashed circle (you probably need to switch to the "Animation" sidebar first to see the path), a rectangular box enclosing the path appears; 3. Drag the box and change the proportion of the path; 4. Observe the "modified" status of the file doesn't change (status bar, Save button on the toolbar). Closing the windows doesn't get "Do you want to save the changes before closing" dialog either. LO version: I reproduced this bug on 5.2.7 (the oldest version I have), 6.4.7, and 7.1.0 alpha1, all on Windows 10. Detailed version info for 7.1.0 alpha1: Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha1 (x64) Build ID: 987671387712c4f9061d6216ff2f001a7bb9e57b CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); UI: zh-CN Calc: threaded Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109362 [Bug 109362] [META] Custom/object animation bugs and enhancements -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92286 --- Comment #7 from QA Administrators --- Dear Francisco, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89455] Windows: Bad font rendering in some sizes
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89455 --- Comment #7 from QA Administrators --- Dear barrymogridge, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136272 --- Comment #4 from d...@excellentsite.com --- Thank you for your response. Hopefully, that will fix the issue. The file I attached probably doesn't seem to expose a performance problem. However, with a file that has more data (only 190 rows by 12 columns) it takes 15 - 20 minutes for the file to open. This is on an 8-core CPU and takes this long to open whether opening the file across a network or from the local hard disk. Gnumeric opens the file in less than 5 seconds. Once opened, fixed (by Gnumeric) and saved, Libreoffice is able to open the file in a reasonable amount of time (less than 5 seconds). Perhaps filling the file with more data would amplify the performance issue. Or, compare the time to open the file I attached with opening a completely empty file (which the file I attach is basically - as there is no data in any of the cells). Another possibility is for me to upload a file that is populated with more data. Perhaps that would show how incredibly slow it is (no exaggeration - about 15 minutes) to open the file. If you want me to upload a file with more data, let me know. Thanks again.
