A question is > "why "$0" for General format?". I have no idea. I just follow previous design. All icon themes except Karasa Jaga (Breeze, Colibre, elementary, Sifr and Sukapura) use the same design "$0". Looking at MS Excel it uses general 123 which I think more acceptable. IIRC Breeze is the first theme that introduced "$0" (CMIIW Andreas Kainz). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138520] Toolbars and page too small with Wayland fractional scaling and Qt5 plugin
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138520 --- Comment #1 from Matthew Trescott --- Created attachment 167605 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=167605&action=edit Screenshot that shows the problem in normal (non-dialog) widgets It appears from this screenshot that UI components that are drawn directly with QWidgets are scaled correctly, while ones drawn QPainter are not. However, this is only a shakey guess because I don't know anything about the code and am only going off of the information in #130857 and #125943 with the assumption that the drop-down menus are now drawn natively with QWidgets. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138520] New: Toolbars and page too small with Wayland fractional scaling and Qt5 plugin
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138520 Bug ID: 138520 Summary: Toolbars and page too small with Wayland fractional scaling and Qt5 plugin Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.0.beta1+ Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: graphics stack Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: matthewtresc...@gmail.com Created attachment 167604 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=167604&action=edit Screenshot showing the dialog widget size problem EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: LibreOffice UI displays with UI components and text at approximately the same size as other programs, to match the screen scaling configuration. ACTUAL BEHAVIOR: The top drop-down menu is scaled properly, while the other LibreOffice components are displayed as though the screen were much larger and had a lower pixel density. Also, dialog windows are the expected size, but their contents are shrunken to the upper left-hand corner. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Select a fractional scaling factor (such as 1.25) in Plasma System Settings. 2. Log out/log back in, using Wayland. 3. Start LibreOffice SCREENSHOTS: I've attached a screenshot showing the scaling problem with the Options dialog. The incorrect scaling of the main UI is less noticeable, so I'll attach another screenshot after submitting this report. Note that the display is actually 1920x1080, even though the screenshot was scaled down. VERSION INFORMATION: Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed OpenGL Drivers: Mesa 20.2.2/Intel HD Graphics 620 Qt Version: 5.15.1 LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0-beta (official development RPMs) and 7.0.3.1 (openSUSE packages) OTHER INFORMATION: There are no relevant messages when running LibreOffice in the console. I have tried different options such as "Force font DPI" (in Plasma System Settings) without any effect. I'd be happy to provide any other information that might be useful, such as the values of relevant environment variables, if needed. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138518 Bug ID: 138518 Summary: Update Cross References builds wrong directories and missformats paragraphs Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.0.beta1+ Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stefan_lange...@t-online.de Description: In a specific text document (more than one directory "Table of Contents", see appended sample) the update of cross references results in wrong built directories and missformatted paragraphs (divided where it should not be divided). The problem exists in LOdev 7.1 beta and in LOdev 7.2 alpha, but not in LO 7.0.3 and in LOdev 7.0.4 (builds until 2020-11-25). Steps to Reproduce: 1. open document "Test_paragraphs_divided.odt" from appended zip file --> The document looks good as it was created with LOdev 7.0.4: It consists of 112 Pages. All directories contain the correct page numbers and no paragraaphs (= chapters) are divided wrongly. 2. Update (= rebuild) all cross references e.g. by tab "References" -> "Cross References" -> All 3. Update all cross references repeatedly Actual Results: After the first update of cross referenes the document consists of 118 pages, because some chapters are divided wrongly (1.1.2.36, 1.1.2.46, 1.1.2,60, 1.1.2.61, 1.1.2.69, 1.1.3.12 and 2.11: divided and continued on the next page). Both overview directories (built until level 1 resp. 3) contain some wrongly built page numbers: "Übersicht" -> "Obektive" at page 78 (correct 77) and "Fotoapparate - Übersicht" -> "Altix III" page 19 (corr. 18) and "Altix IIIA" page 70 (corr. 69), see "Test_paragraphs_divided_Update_CrossRef_All_x1_LOdev_7.2.0.pdf" in the zip file Expected Results: The directories should not be changed, because the were correct already, and the chapters should not be divided. So it is in LO resp. LOdev until 7.0.4 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: When the cross references are updated repeatedly, the result are different from the result of the first update (2nd update: also 118 pages, but other wrong page number, 3rd update: 116 pages and other wrong page numbers, 4th update: 119 pages and other wrong page numbers), see "Test_paragraphs_divided_Update_CrossRef_All_x2_LOdev_7.2.0.pdf" etc. in the zip file! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Good to know, especially if style-nesting gets fixed. To be honest, one of the biggest problems I have for non-English languages in Latin script is diacritics. Sadly, Linux also doesn't seem to effectively implement the ["compose" key](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compose_key) (the settings exist, in many places, but don't seem to work). If I have to write a text about three people called Xaudaró, Yī and Zaćiragić, I can add them to the user-defined dictionary and autocorrect, but when the diacritics distinguish meanings (say, I am writing about 尤 Yóu, 右 Yòu, and 幽 Yōu, and also using the English word "you"), this does not work. And if I want to inflect my diacritic-laden words with a variety of non-English inflections I'm out of luck. Even toggling through languages might get a bit tedious here, assuming the languages are in LibreOffice. Is it possible to set a user-defined .aff file, for inflections on user-defined dictionary words where neither word nor inflection is in the existing languages supported by LibreOffice? I'm only really wanting to inflect a few terms, but if I keep adding them as I go I might eventually have a full dictionary. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
