>
> 5. Click on Cell A5, click on "Background Colour" button's icon, now the

Used a new user profile (so Skia enabled) and still can not reproduce using
exactly these steps.

Version: 7.0.4.2 (x64)
Build ID: dcf040e67528d9187c66b2379df5ea4407429775
CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); 界面: zh-CN
Calc: threaded

Not sure what else could be the difference (locale?), but I'm afraid I can't be
of much help here.

Also my reading of John's description in comment #6 is that reproduction of
this bug doesn't seem deterministic, which further complicates things.

> Sorry for delay, reply e-mail got bounced
Bugzilla doesn't support adding comments through email replys (as far as I

Copying an entire cell should be considered to be to copying an entire
paragraph. They are logically equivalent.

Paste-special allows pasting as unformatted text, which strips away all of the
extra formatting and context like paragraph - and thus does what you want it to
do. Or, as Xisco said, if you just want to copy the character contents of a
cell you can do that from the input line, or copying the characters from a
double-clicked cell.

The current behaviour certainly is not wrong, and the requested behaviour is
not more correct. There are several alternative methods to achieve the
requested behaviour.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139051] New: Feedback: Text align based on numbers positional value instead of just Left, Right or Center alignment. FORMATTING

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139051

Bug ID: 139051
Summary: Feedback: Text align based on numbers positional value
instead of just Left, Right or Center alignment.
FORMATTING
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.3.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sebbes...@gmail.com

Description:
Feedback for at least Libre Calc, but can likely be useful in Doc too.

(hopefully this form keeps the formatting here, otherwise it looks wired)
[] <-- data cells (read the underline as a space, just in case the formatting
is ruined).

Data example: (currently: right aligned (Ctrl+R), it's harder to read)
[1,0_]
[_123,00_]
[_12_]
[__1,001_]

My proposal is a new alignment that is based on the numbers positional value
instead, like this:
[___1,0___]
[_123,00__]
[__12_]
[___1,001_]

As you can see, all "ones" numbers, and "tens" & "hundreds" numbers are lined
up, so it's easier to read & much harder to misread a numbers value (like
misreading 1,001 as 1001 instead).

Hope this is explained clearly enough, and it helps to improve Libre Calc.

Steps to Reproduce:
Not applicable.
I guess: Type random values in a column & try to align them.

Actual Results:
Read the Description here.
At row: "Data example:"...

Expected Results:
Read the Description here.
At row: "My proposal"...

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

An example file with unrotated image or bmp as such might be helpful. Or does
this happen with any image file?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139049] New: Copy image from left-to-right sheet and paste into right-to-left (RTL) sheet gives wrong image position

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 139049
Summary: Copy image from left-to-right sheet and paste into
right-to-left (RTL) sheet gives wrong image position
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 168312
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=168312=edit
Spreadsheet with LTR and RTL sheet, to test copy between them

Open attached document.
Go to Sheet_LTR. It should have an image in the range D3:D6. If the image is
outside that range, drag it to the range, so that its anchor is D3.
Copy the range D3:D6 including the image.
Go to Sheet_RTL.
Paste the clipboard to D3.
Notice, the image is not in range D3:D6.

The error is likely
1983 tools::Rectangle aObjRect = pObj->GetLogicRect();
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/core/data/drwlayer.cxx?r=60ae45f5#1983
If I change it to
1983 tools::Rectangle aObjRect = pObj->GetSnapRect();
paste uses the correct position.

But I have not tested, what impacts this change has in other places, that use
ScDrawLayer::MirrorRTL().

You seem to not understand. Once the value is in the IEEE 754 binary format
there are no "8 decimal places" to use.

It's about sufficient precision and rounding when converting from binary
floating-point to the decimal display string.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139020] elementary: Proposal to Revert All Blue-Violet Color Arrow Pair to One Coherent Color

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon

(In reply to andreas_k from comment #1)
> I'm also thinking of use blue and violet in Colibre instead of blue only.

This is obviously should go for another ticket.

> two colors:
> + you can faster recognize increase / decrease
> - more colors mean the icons are more in the focus
> - I think it's to difficult that the user remember violet is for shrink,
> redo, ... and blue for grow, undo, ...

The best example of two color scheme is Karasa Jaga, it has green for grow and
increase while red for shrink and decrease. I have no objection in term of
visual part as the two colors are easy recognizable and commonly accepted. But
blue and violet? They are too forced.

While the pairing idea came from export
(https://github.com/elementary/icons/blob/master/actions/24/document-export.svg)
and import
(https://github.com/elementary/icons/blob/master/actions/24/document-import.svg)
from upstream, but now I feel this turns to be a bad choice.

> + If you have one focus color (highlight color) the UI is a bit more
> balanced. It would be useful if the user know color violet is for x and
> blue for y but I think there is no real benefit for the user. It's more an
> visual element only.

We can make use of https://elementary.io/brand for color choice. Really helpful
(Thanks Heiko who pointed out the link)

But the real question is, what is your suggestion? Single blue or single
orange?
I can say that orange are more ubiquitous in LibreOffice elementary theme than
blue, but I have no strong feeling that orange has such strong bond with
elementary as a whole. They even change their navigation arrow from black to
green
(https://github.com/elementary/icons/commit/7184365ef71baab276a4e1c9341f396b47c213e4?short_path=9982040#diff-99820403de4bea3c97cc11c032bf5382c9e2150a45793ec8171ba76c54965d8d).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139043] New: Text color in table is rendered as different color in Impress (Fill color option)

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139043

Bug ID: 139043
Summary: Text color in table is rendered as different color in
Impress (Fill color option)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.3.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jorgeurib...@hotmail.com

Description:
Black text in a table on a .pptx is rendered as white in Impress.
This seems to be an issue with the Automatic color option.
In MO the last font color selected is the one that appears as default in the
fill color in (Right click on the border of the table)Format shape->Text
options->Text fill-> and moving between No fill and Solid fill. In this case
the last font color selected is white (for titles in the columns) and seems to
be the one that LO is using as Automatic color option located in (Right click
in the border of the table)Table properties->Font effects->Font
color->Automatic.

- When the file is saved from MO with No fill option, the font color in Libre
is rendered as black (should be not visible).
- When the original file is saved as .ppt from MO, the font color is correct in
LO.

Actual Results:
The font color is rendered as white so it's not visible on a white background.

Expected Results:
Font color is always rendered as the original file.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139015] Pivot table refresh does not work

--- Comment #2 from Roman Kuznetsov <79045_79...@mail.ru> ---
Of course, if you added a row AFTER current data range then you can't update a
Pivot table with new data. You first should change a data range in the Layout
Pivot table dialog before updating your Pivot table.

But if you add additional row inside your data range then the Pivot table can
be update and it will be calculate all data

I think it's more an enhancement request than a bug (but I'm not sure that it
can be implement)

Another problem which needs to be fixed at the same time. The "Target in

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139042] Freeze Rows And Columns Only freezing a row OR a column

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139042

For the final release of 7.1 there could be one Freeze Cells option which would
freeze your selection(s). Such as in this use case, it would be useful to
freeze both row 1 and column A to preserve the lat/long information while
scrolling through solar insolation values vis-a-vis NASA CERES data.

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139042

Bug ID: 139042
Summary: Freeze Rows And Columns Only freezing a row OR a
column
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.0.beta1+
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: andrews...@gmail.com

Description:
Document contains latitude data in columns and longitude data in rows. While
attempting to freeze both column A and Row 1 (lat and long title cells) Calc
only freezes either the row or the column. Attempted to select row 2 and column
B to preserve title cells which yielded the same results.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open sample data to populate sheet
2. Select row 2 & column B
3. Right-click on either title of column or row.
4. Select Freeze rows and columns
5. Scroll either down or to the right depending on whether you right-clicked on
the row or the column.

Actual Results:
If you right-clicked on the row title and froze the row, only the row will be
frozen. If you right-clicked on the column title and froze the column, only the
column will be frozen. The Freeze Rows and Columns option does not freeze both.

Expected Results:
Selecting both row 2 AND column B, right-clicking on either title, and
selecting Freeze Rows and Columns should have frozen both row 1 and column B to
preserve headings while scrolling through the data.

IN Navigator, make sure on the upper right corner you drop down and choose
INSERT AS COPY, then choose a name from under the Database section, drag over

Navigator window, the Database name that you dragged and dropped will
disappear, making you close then open the Navigator window all over again to

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137151] The break to paragraph (being a line) or linked to paragraph content

2020-12-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137151

2 - user would not expect page break to change - works as user would expect.
8 - perhaps surprising, since it isn't copying the whole paragraph. But these
are always empty paragraphs, so likely there are very good reasons why in
general a empty paragraphs with no formatting should obtain the paragraph
properties of the characters that are pasted. If there is ANY direct
formatting on the paragraph, then the pasted page break (and other properties)
are ignored.
10 - this is just adding characters to an existing paragraph - not expecting
paragraph properties to be copied in this situation.
14 - same as 8.
18. same as 8.
24. same as 8. Ctrl-A copied two pages, so pasting it in the second empty
paragraph will add two pages starting at the second paragraph - resulting in a
total of three. Makes sense to me.

So, in the end, this is totally consistent. A paragraph with all default
formatting will take on the formatting of the pasted characters. NOTABUG.

I think it looks at your graphics hardware driver and decides that Vulkan would
not work OK and then just uses non-accelerated (raster).
