https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139018 --- Comment #8 from Kevin Suo --- (In reply to Aron Budea from comment #5) I see from your screencast that you followed the wrong steps. Detailed Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert a 2*2 table in Writer using "Table > Insert Table" menu. 2. Click the top-left corner of the inserted table, to select the whole table, then right-click and select "Table Properties". In the table properties dialog, apply borders to all cells by clicking the 4th pre-defined border style, then click OK. So the borders look like this: -- | || -- | || -- 3. Right-click in the table and click "Table Properties" again; in the table properties dialog, remove the left and right borders, then click OK. There's actually a period where the text formatting looks on point, only the inner frame is positioned badly. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139109] New: Libre Writer - Tables - Column Width handling
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139109 Bug ID: 139109 Summary: Libre Writer - Tables - Column Width handling Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: lynnwoo...@gmail.com Description: When I try to change one column width it changes the one to the right. I do that for 12 columns (major hassle) and if i enter less than the remaining space in the last column it adds the balance to the first column. This is maddening. Steps to Reproduce: 1.change width of left column Actual Results: each column to the right changes in turn Expected Results: the table width should be shortened/lengthened based on sum of the columns as i enter them. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Please put a switch in the column width or table tab of table properties to tell the software to automatically adjust the table width vs. constantly changing columns to force the assumed table width. However - that is not the case. With some selected families - one cannot even locate, let alone select and copy, some of these characters; while with other families, more (or all) of them are available, e.g. Specifically, I tried this with the Right-Left Override character, and got * Failure with: David CLM (bundled with LibreOffice), Nachlieli CLM, Linux Libertine, Georgia * Success with: Liberation Sans, Liberation Serif, Noto Sans and I also tried this with Right-to-Left Mark, and got: * Failure with: Linux Libertine, Georgia * Success with: David CLM, Nachlieli CLM, Liberation Sans, Liberation Serif, Noto Sans (the choice of fonts is arbitrary, except that David CLM is LibreOffice' default for Hebrew text) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138920 --- Comment #16 from Jonny Grant --- (In reply to Eike Rathke from comment #15) > > Can the string conversion function take a hint on how many decimal places > > are needed? > That's exactly what's happening in a narrower column and the reason 0.2 is > displayed when rounding occurs for less than 15 decimals. Sounds like that's the fix for the copy-paste buffer. Although surely the fix is to just display accurately with appropriate rounding no matter the column witth? My Casio calculator has 8 decimal display, it only shows 0.2 Casio never shows "0.199" > > In this example, it will never be more than 1 decimal place needed right? > That's unknown. Copy-pasting via clipboard there's no information how much > precision the target needs. I don't want to sound like a broken record, it's obvious the user only needed 0.2 right?
