2020-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug already existed in
Version: 6.2.0.0.beta1+
Build ID: 9df01c894d73e744a9d55c3db64f052a8f496287
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.9; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

And may be even older, or even never worked. Could someone having the
"releases" bibisect repo to test?

(In reply to Aron Budea from comment #5)
I see from your screencast that you followed the wrong steps.

Detailed Steps to Reproduce:

1. Insert a 2*2 table in Writer using "Table > Insert Table" menu.

2. Click the top-left corner of the inserted table, to select the whole table,
then right-click and select "Table Properties". In the table properties dialog,
apply borders to all cells by clicking the 4th pre-defined border style, then
click OK. So the borders look like this:
--
|   ||
--
|   ||
--

3. Right-click in the table and click "Table Properties" again; in the table
properties dialog, remove the left and right borders, then click OK.

Current Result:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139110] FILEOPEN RTF: Text frame in autoshape textbox is mispositioned

> way than in current master).
There's actually a period where the text formatting looks on point, only the
inner frame is positioned badly.

In 4.2, the change from the single empty frame to two frames, with good
formatting happened in the following range (opening the file crashes in
between).
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=range&q=b3962c92bfb8d14d908bfeb9142548e9686ee105..a8153482ad4f918f3501aed34c3131e970592575

And the change that "ruined" the formatting happened in either of the following
two commits (opening the file crashes at the first):
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=6d191c06c737e4c7f3e2c5f8b871d1037b4ce783
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=2e11cb276e54c6fe4e903c7f44e36bc36798ba63

Since this isn't the main issue (which is the frame positioning), it can be
split off if needed.

In 6.2.0.4 and 4.4.0.3 the separate frames are there, without content.
In 4.3.0.4 Writer crashes when opening the file.
In 4.2.0.4 there is content, but not correctly positioned (in a different way

Dear Marina Latini (CIB),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139109] New: Libre Writer - Tables - Column Width handling

2020-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139109

Bug ID: 139109
Summary: Libre Writer - Tables - Column Width handling
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lynnwoo...@gmail.com

Description:
When I try to change one column width it changes the one to the right. I do
that for 12 columns (major hassle) and if i enter less than the remaining space
in the last column it adds the balance to the first column. This is maddening.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.change width of left column

Actual Results:
each column to the right changes in turn

Expected Results:
the table width should be shortened/lengthened based on sum of the columns as i
enter them.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Please put a switch in the column width or table tab of table properties to
tell the software to automatically adjust the table width vs. constantly
changing columns to force the assumed table width.

I have screenshots if you want them.

Remember:

Right-to-Left Override, or RLO, is Unicode character U+202D
Right-to-Left Mark, or RLM, is Unicode character U+200F

(the latter can be entered using the standard Hebrew keyboard layout using
RightAlt+0)

For the unfamiliar, read this:

More generally, the issue is as follows:

The Insert Special Character dialog should allow the user to locate, select and
insert Unicode characters which are non-printing, regardless of which font
family is chosen in the dialog.

However - that is not the case. With some selected families - one cannot even
locate, let alone select and copy, some of these characters; while with other
families, more (or all) of them are available, e.g.

Specifically, I tried this with the Right-Left Override character, and got

* Failure with: David CLM (bundled with LibreOffice), Nachlieli CLM, Linux
Libertine, Georgia
* Success with: Liberation Sans, Liberation Serif, Noto Sans

and I also tried this with Right-to-Left Mark, and got:

* Failure with: Linux Libertine, Georgia
* Success with: David CLM, Nachlieli CLM, Liberation Sans, Liberation Serif,
Noto Sans

(the choice of fonts is arbitrary, except that David CLM is LibreOffice'
default for Hebrew text)

Sounds like that's the fix for the copy-paste buffer. Although surely the fix
is to just display accurately with appropriate rounding no matter the column
witth?

My Casio calculator has 8 decimal display, it only shows 0.2

Casio never shows "0.199"

I don't want to sound like a broken record, it's obvious the user only needed
0.2 right? What user would ever want 0.199 ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139108] New: Selecting a gradient for a background in Windows LO Draw cuts off the controls

2020-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139108

Bug ID: 139108
Summary: Selecting a gradient for a background in Windows LO
Draw cuts off the controls
   Product: LibreOffice

  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium

background is set to Gradient.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch LO Draw in Windows 10
2. In the sidebar, select Gradient for a slide's background

Actual Results:
The Insert Image... button (which doesn't even make sense to display for a

All buttons intended to render should render completely.

Reproducible: Always

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
