[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139296] Text font size changes when scrolling document with a mouse
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139296 --- Comment #8 from V Stuart Foote --- Created attachment 168758 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=168758&action=edit misregisterd line of text w/Skia raster rendering Reducing the document canvas y-height so text can move out of view port without the view crossing a page boundry, scrolling down & up with mouse wheel or scroll bar "thumb" a single line of text can be made to lose its registration--and the distorted "torn" text can move down or up out of view and return and still be distorted. But if moved far enough, or if the page scrolls to the next or prior page, the text run will be refreshed and no longer mis-registered. This occurs in a very low percentage of scroll movements <5% , but it does occur with GDI default mode rendering, and with both Skia Vulkan and Skia raster mode rendering. Did not check OpenGL rendering. Did not check if font changes affect percentage of the line tear. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139489] New: LibreOffice Update feature should behave differently if running "stable" version vs "early adopter" version
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139489 Bug ID: 139489 Summary: LibreOffice Update feature should behave differently if running "stable" version vs "early adopter" version Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.7.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: framework Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: fireball...@yahoo.com Hi! I prefer to run the stable version of LibreOffice, since it's tested more, and I don't need cutting-edge features immediately. I also like the Update feature for the suite, since it lets me know when new versions of LibreOffice are available. However, it seems that the current "stable" version has been notifying me there's an update for LibreOffice, but the only new version available is for the "early adopters". I get notified every time I start the product, so I've stopped checking the website now, since I still find no updates for the stable version. Will you please add a feature that, if the stable version of LibreOffice is installed, only updates for the stable version are shown to the user? (Alternately, this could be a configurable option, if that seems better to you.) [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139296] Text font size changes when scrolling document with a mouse
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139296 --- Comment #7 from spokanemagn...@gmail.com --- I'm not sure why this bug has not been assigned to anyone because it is most irritating and something that would turn potential users off to continued use of the LibreOffice product suite. At any rate, the issue with the tearing text still persists. Originally, I found that doing a reload would solve the issue, but that would bring you back up to the top of the document, which is not ideal because you might not remember exactly where you were in the document before resorting to that reload. The next alternative is to scroll the page up or down until the infected area is out of view, then scroll back. Considering how often this problem occurs, this is also not an ideal solution. Finally, I found another, more practical band aid, which is to click on the Toggle Automatic Spell Checking button. That eliminates the problem, at least, until the next time moments later. I just found that another approach that works is clicking on the button right next to it, the Toggle Formatting Marks. So, hopefully that brings everyone up to speed on this. Someone, please fix this. One person said it also happened with the touchpad and arrow keys, but I have only had it happen when using my mouse. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

So actually there are up to three windows after a presentation was started: - Impress with document in editing mode - Impress with document in presentation mode - Impress with document in presenter view They should have well distinguishable names. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139420] Qualify window title for running presentations
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139420 --- Comment #3 from Hiran Chaudhuri --- I configured 'org.openoffice.Setup/Product/ooName to the value 'ooName' and started an impress presentation. Jitsi-Meet still showed LibreOffice 6. Then I restarted LibreOffice, and also in the newly started presentation I saw the title LibreOffice 6.0. Seems the above hit does nto work for me. Plus it shows the name might be configurable but it is far from having a meaningful name for non-experienced users. One can hardly assume users would configure preferences via advanced settings just to find the presentation from conferencing software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136963 --- Comment #7 from Leyan --- The best way if you want to understand better what is going on is to look at the code: https://github.com/LibreOffice/core/blob/90cc24d4728dc94a30865d3b3af9409d5967b45a/chart2/source/view/axes/ScaleAutomatism.cxx#L923 You can see that the additional space is mentioned in the comment, it is explicitly calculated and not a side effect or a bug. When starting from 0, if the max value is more that the largest tick * 20/21 (so "too close" to the top), another gradation is added. In your example, if the largest value is more than 20/21=0.9539095... then the maximum will be 1.2 and not 1. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139473 --- Comment #5 from Telesto --- (In reply to Aron Budea from comment #4) > (In reply to Telesto from comment #3) > > Bug or feature.. I call it a bug.. as Excel capable to save 'Liberation > > Sans' > Yes, but where people have Excel installed, they don't often have > LibreOffice, and thus Liberation Sans. > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 113685 *** Even though I understand why this being done, things being wrong about it: (A) It's done with user permission (B) (t's assumed as general rule (losing control) (C) This is a kind of user responsibility, IMHO (D) I'm unaware of this happening in Writer (and same argument can be made) (E) you make assumptions of what the user wants. (F) There is no way to opt out (G) It's pretty inconsistent.. It's only valid this font (or number of fonts) I personally see this as the undesired solution for the issue. And I'm some point I start even starting using Mike argument. LibreOffice isn't MSO :P Other options would be (A) Set it to Arial; but think this is a no go (B) Make it an save option; convert font for capability (C) Put some setting in options if this should happen or not. I even consider it being disabled by default (out of principle) And I make a configuration screen where you can set specifics (or setup wizard).. Same said about auto-correct. All sorts settings (features) are assumed to be 'good' for everyone.. while I having my doubts. There is always reasonable sized group hit by the so called feature. And assumptions made. Which creates undesired effects. Instead of arbitrary making assumptions about way to many user groups, maybe wise to simply ask. Instead of throwing all sorts of things on them without explicit consent. You can still fill in the 'defaults' which should be good for average.. But at least people being aware those settings being around (and can be changed) Nudge + consent is better compared to patronizing we know what's good for you, IMHO. People don't want to be told .. the want to choose. And you get rid of those 'arbitrary' choice and the angry mob at losers side. NotePad++ and UltraEdit have all sorts of templates to target specific groups. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139482] New: CALC Optimal Column Width not working
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139482 Bug ID: 139482 Summary: CALC Optimal Column Width not working Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.3.1 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: saben...@yahoo.com Description: The Optimal Column Width feature no longer adjusts the width of each column to fit the longest content of the cells in that column. It acts almost exactly like the other column width feature that sets all the columns to the same width, chosen in the included numerical input. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Highlight all the cells by clicking the box in the upper left corner of the table. 2. Click Format in the top menu. 3. Hover over Columns in drop down. 4. Click Optimal Width... in menu expansion. 5. Click OK button in dialog. Actual Results: Even if you have manually adjusted each column to be the optimal width, it will reduce the columns to the width in the numerical box in the dialog. Expected Results: The columns should expand or contract to be just slightly wider than any of the content in the table body cells or header cells. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.0.3.1 (x64) Build ID: d7547858d014d4cf69878db179d326fc3483e082 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139481 Bug ID: 139481 Summary: Ctrl-Click hyperlink sends wrong link. it sends the old pre edited link Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: joh...@cox.net I am a new LE-Writer user. I had imported a word.docx file. This file among other things included a list of hyperlinks for my automation hub. I saved this file with the odt extension. The one link I needed required editing before ctrl-click(ing). The pre-edited link was: http://192.168.1.170/hub/advanced/freeOSMemory the changed link is: http://192.168.1.104/hub/advanced/freeOSMemory When I ctrl-click on the edited version the old link is sent to chrome. I then saved the file, retried link = still wrong link set. I saved the file, closed Writer reopened = same result (i.e. wrong link sent) //-// On another line, I manually typed the edited link = worked fine. //-// I created an new Writer document, copied ALL if the problem document into the new document. the now already edited link = worked fine. //-// I saved the document under a new name. In the new document, the link worked correctly. In the original document, I deleted all content except for the subject link. not the link did not work at all. Ctrl-Click did nothing, Ctrl-double click selected a word. Could think of no additional test that might help.
