[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49576] MAC AT accessibility problems failing Apple checking
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49576 --- Comment #28 from QA Administrators --- Dear Alex Thurgood, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139845] New: Default styles organization leads to a confuse basic text style
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139845 Bug ID: 139845 Summary: Default styles organization leads to a confuse basic text style Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.0.2 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gustav...@yahoo.com Description: Libre Office Writer came with a default collection of styles. The first one is "Default Paragraph Style" that is also the style set when a "clear formatting" option is selected. However, the Heading styles (Heading, Heading 1, Heading 2...) have the next style set to "Text Body" in the "Organizer" section. So as the common user write the text, there will be both "Default Paragraph Style" (the starter and default) and "Text Body" (after titles when hit enter) to the same kind of text. In addition, my suggestion is to follow some international standard as Vancouver to define the basic collection of styles, this will help users with low skills with text processors. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Type some text, hit enter to new paragraph 2.Type a title text, choose a heading stile as "Heading" and hit enter to new paragraph 3.At this point, the text is written with "Text Body" style instead "Default Paragraph Style" 4.Write some text with paragraphs, styling and so. If you choose "Clear formatting", there will be a paragraph with "Default Paragraph Style" between others with "Text Body", creating difficulties when trying to apply some new definitions to the whole text. Actual Results: A text with two paragraph styles set to the same type of text, the body of the document. Expected Results: A document must have only one style to the default basic text. It happens with both the mouse and the touch-pad, which seemingly eliminates a driver issue...unless it's two driver issues. My drivers are up-do-date, but I know after the last two Windows10 major feature updates that there were issues that Microsoft blamed on bad drivers (despite those drivers working fine until their update), but I see that non-Windows users have experienced this same text tearing issue as well, so this probably cannot be blamed on the 800-pound gorilla. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139296] scrolling document canvas down & up can cause a line of text to "tear" with loss of registration, it clears when the line moves out of view far enough or view passes to
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139296 --- Comment #27 from spokanemagn...@gmail.com --- The screen size and/or zoom level might be a factor, as I always use the page width setting with the sidebar minimized for maximum work space (i.e., 156%, versus with sidebar when needed at 119%). Either working with the sidebar permanently opened or reducing the zoom level to 100% was something I was going to play around with later today. Since I got onto this idea of line spacing being a possible cause, as setting the line spacing to "Fixed" and then selecting a value at least 2 points over the font size does seem to greatly reduce the occurrence of the text tearing issue (but it does not completely eliminate the problem, even with the margins and tabs all being evenly divisible by the line spacing setting (or divisible by a number such as 7.5, which should leave no rounding errors). In my reading up on the subject, I found this tidbit of information online that says that prior to the 4.2 release, LO used to allow users to set line spacing to 1/10th of a point (1/720th of an inch), but now you can only set it to the nearest point. Apache OpenOffice apparently still allows for 1/10th of a point. I have no idea if this is significant or not, but if the problem only arose after that release, then perhaps it is. One update. I had mentioned that documents that were originally written in Word before being converted to Writer, did not ever exhibit the text tearing issue; however, I was editing one such document yesterday and it started doing so--and doing so virtually every time I scrolled up or down, even if just a few lines. That document had line spacing set a "Single". BTW, is "Use superordinate object settings" really necessary if a document is completely written in one language, or is it used in Writer (don't recall ever seeing it in Word) to facilitate writing on an axis other than 90-degrees? I experimented with setting that to left-to-right, but to no avail with regards to the text tearing issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49533] Libreoffice needs double-entry accounting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49533 --- Comment #5 from k...@kirk-ward.com --- I am a retired accountant, and also support the idea of an accounting extension for LibreOffice, but I suggest that Base be considered instead of Calc. While it would make user modifications harder, since most small business users would not be as proficient at editing tables in Base correctly as they would be at editing worksheets in Calc, but it would allow the program to grow and become a powerful system, adding CRM and ERP functions that would be difficult to manage in Calc. I'd even pay money if it could be maintained, and I will bet dollars to doughnuts that there are accountants in private practice out there who would welcome an alternative to Quickbooks and Microsofts junk. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139838] New: The behavior of the border picker is sometimes off
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139838 Bug ID: 139838 Summary: The behavior of the border picker is sometimes off Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl Description: The behavior of the border picker is sometimes off Steps to Reproduce: A) Table without borders set (cycling through) 1. First click -> Apply border 2. Second click -> Selected border state (needed?) 3. Third click -> Remove -> This become more obvious by bug 139837. Have enabled the incidentally so many times B) Table with pre-existing borders (cycling through) 1. First click -> select 2. Second click -> remove 3. Third click -> apply border C) Pre-existing borders with 1 border selected 1. First click -> Select border 2. Change line color 3. Click different border -> expected select only (not change) -- D) Pre-existing border, not selected initially 1. Change line color -> Applied to all borders E) Table without borders, not selected 1. Change line color -> Nothing happens 2. Click in border picker -> border applied -> fine -- F) Mixed, some borders active, others disabled (without any border selected) 1. Change line color -> Applied to all active borders G) Mixed, some borders active, others disabled with active border selected 1. Change line color applied to that border (fine) Actual Results: I struggle with case C. I don't expect a direct change & only a selection. Also case A, where the 'select border' comes second. Expected Results: In case C no change should occur.. only selection. In case A it should skip 'select' and directly remove.
