Example file from Calc with autofiltered date column

This is a followup to bug #116818 – this time the problem happens in ODS format
too.
If there is an autofiltered date column in a sheet, autofilters on other column
types, like text and number are empty.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached file.

Actual results:
Autofilters on columns B and C are empty.

Expected results:
Autofilters on columns B and C display possible values.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140058] Modification of label for Text | Bullets and Numbering context menu; addition of an "Edit List Style" command to that menu, and Bullets and Numbering dialog should not

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #3)
> > 2a. add an "Edit Style" command to this context menu

> It is the first "Bullets and Numbering..." entry. Could be renamed (and
> moved to the end).
I believe that I have a pretty good idea of what label appears in what
menu/toolbar, etc. -- but there is another issue -- about functionality -- that
needs to be addressed -- before possible labelling changes.

But first a clarification is needed. You seem to confirm the objection in
comment 2, point 2a.

That is, you are indicating that, at present, .uno:OutlineBullet (which is at
the top of the Text context submenu for Bullets and Numbering) is modifying
List Styles themselves (if the cursor is on a list item with a List Style).

But notice ... in that situation...when the dialog box is opened, there is no
"Organizer" tab. In other words, there is no way that a person would know that
they are modifying a List Style (or even which List Style).

Meanwhile, in contrast, when a List Style is opened from the Sidebar, there is
an organizer tab, and the dialog box says "List Style". This does not seem
possible at present from the context menu -- which is the initial point of 2a.

So: (a) there is no point in renaming the current .uno:OutlineBullet because
it operates both on DF lists and List Styles.
and (b) it seems like a bad thing that the Bullets and Numbering dialog is
 modifying the List Style.

As a perfect analogy, it would be like using the Paragraph dialog to modify a
paragraph and have the changes registered for the Paragraph Style. That is
what is happening now for List.

Always better; Now that's a Christmas wish! Sure, Santa Klaus likes it already.
Seems your funny language and personal opinion are welcome or ignored by
developers. You pushed them everywhere. Do others noticed, or wished to be
blind, or is that just me? "Oh yes, let's do that; a watermark, in background!
That an idea and let's create a use-case." For sure, you made Libreoffice
great. Back to work now. Too much time lost already.

And for example https://www.pdf-online.com/osa/validate.aspx will show.

The versioning is slower compared to expected. So picking doesn't make sense,
currently. there was a bump between 6.2 and 7.2 from 1.5 to 1.6

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140461] New: Libreoffice 7.1.0.3 cannot handle "" to create Table of Contents automatically anymore

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140461

Bug ID: 140461
Summary: Libreoffice 7.1.0.3 cannot handle "" to create
Table of Contents automatically anymore
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: heiko.baechm...@gmx.de

Description:
We create an .docx document with apache poi and convert it to PDF with
jodconverter (wich requires LibreOffice). The TOC (table of contents) was
updated in previous versions by adding "" when you opened the generated .docx file. MS-Word and
Google-Docs are still able to recognize it, but LibreOffice does not detect the
instruction to create the TOC automatically. Also the "Update Index/Indices"
does not appear on right-click.

When I add a TOC by hand in the opened .docx in LibreOffice, everything works
fine.

It was tested with MacOS-bigSur(11.2) and MS-Windows-10.

Unfortunately i cannot attach the example files here.

Actual Results:
The "" is not recognized
by LibreOffice and sometimes leads to lacking UI.

Expected Results:
The TOC is automatically created and recognized in LibreOffice. The "Update
Index/Indices" can be executed on right-click or triggered programmatically.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Works with MS-Word and Google-Docs, just "Update Indexes" is required. The TOC
instruction is recognized and applied.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96952] FILEOPEN: Doesn't open XLS spreadsheets forms, BASIC error

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96952

Dear Klaibson Ribeiro,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71974] EDITING: AutoCorrection changes fraction input in Calc

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71974

Dear fcannon,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

> Also here. Very annoying. Only happends with autosave.

As a workaround rather than disabling autosave you can change the default save
format to xlsx (or whatever it is the format of the document causing problem
is); that avoids the need of going through export and thus does not seem to
trigger the annoying prompt.

I think the easiest way of solving this would be to always do autosave in the
original document format instead of using the default format, but it's a
difficult problem as if there are things that can't be represented in the
original format it will lead to a suboptimal autosave copy... If it's possible
to just disable the prompt on export for non-interactive save that'd probably
work too.

@Lucas J: Thank you for the attachments. I have found it now.

The feature wish for inking capabilities is already in bug 35092, see my
comment there. So the "ink"-related parts of the request will not be tracked
here.

The feature wish for gradients with more than two colors is tracked in bug
76682 for OOXML compatibility and in bug 48392 for the missing implementation
of the already in ODF specified multicolor gradients. "Multicolor
gradient"-related parts of the request will not be tracked here.

This bug report is then for the gradient enhancement for the stroke of shapes.
MS Office allows gradients on strokes. So it would be a good enhancement to be
able to show and edit them in LibreOffice. Such feature requires an addition to
the ODF file format. Therefore the urgent request to interested developers:
Before you start implementing such a feature, discuss with the ODF TC at OASIS
what is the best way to include it in the file format.
Bug 96533 has a similar request, but covers only the gradient of the stroke of
a text box.

@Lucas J: Are there other requests, which are not covered by the above list? If
yes, please write a new enhancement request. Each bug report should track
exactly one issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 35092] Inking functionality: Ink drawings / annotations with Stylus, Pen or Finger on Touchscreen or Tablet

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35092

Ink-graphics are originally specified in https://www.w3.org/TR/InkML/.
Microsoft uses it as extension to OOXML, details in "[MS-ODRAWXML]: Office
Drawing Extensions to Office Open XML Structure".

In ODF it could be stored as element in a element.
Being an "image" does not mean, that it cannot be edited. Being able to create
and to edit such format, would be an implementation detail of LibreOffice, not
of the file format. [Similar as for SVG. Being able to edit an SVG would be a
feature of LibreOffice, not of the file format.]

The frame is able to contain different format versions of the same object and
it is up to the application to choose the format which it can handle best. So
it would be possible to store a original "ink"-format of MS Office in a
element for a later export to MS Office and have a second
with png for the current display.

Bug 140434 has a request for inking capability too. But I do not set it to
duplicate, because that report contains more feature requests.

Mea culpa; my profound apologies for the disruption caused to various Readers /

I just now have reset my profile, and the said checkboxes are unchecked.

I personally disagree at all with this actual behavior (I think that this is
exclusive software behavior, not inclusive; if some person wants to use Asian
and/or CTL being in a Western locale, they have to explicitly enable the tools,
as if they and their scripts are second-class users). However, as said, in the
current version (as well as in all previous that I tested), I always had to
*enable* the checkboxes to be able to test related functionality.

If this is different for OP, then there likely is some "problem" related to
specific set of options/environment. Maybe multiple MUIs or keyboard layouts
are present on system, which trigger this behavior.

What you ask for is not clear, but it's surely not a bug, can only be a wish,
enhancement to also have text as foreground - but we should know the use case
for that and if it's in uae somewhere.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131025] Writer document with tables lost data in cells (apparently) replacing with 0

2021-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131025

The circumstance when I ran into this problem involved:

1. A stub table of just a couple of rows in a LO Write document. The stub table
had the right number of columns. I set up the character and paragraph
formatting I wanted for the cells in that table. I didn't define Table… Number
Format for the cells in that table, because the cells contained text not
numbers.

2. I defined Table Styles for the rows of the stub table.

3. A data table in a LO Calc document. This table had the same number of
columns, and many rows, and no formatting.

4. In LO Calc, I selected and copied the data table cells.

5. In LO Write, I selected the data rows of the stub table (not the heading
row), and pasted. LO Writer extended the table with as many rows as were in the
data table cells on the clipboard. LO Writer applied the Table Styles to the
rows of the table.

6. After the paste, all the rows of the table in LO Write had the expected,
text values.

7. I saved and closed the LO Write document. LO Write gave no indication that
it was changing any values.

8. I opened the LO Write document. Now, several text value cells had changed to
0 values.

So the important thing about this scenario is that the cell contents are
inserted by a Paste operation, not by user text entry; and the cell's Number
Formats are being applied as part of Table Styles, not by individual user
action.

I would like a fix for this bug to also cover the Paste and Table Styles
scenario.
