[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141336] New: error in date
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141336 Bug ID: 141336 Summary: error in date Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rjsm...@smu.edu In a spreadsheet, I use several dates for when people pick up food from my volunteer organization. I set all the date columns formatted as "Dates, 1/1". All are typed as straight text such as 8/2. The problem exists with these three dates: Jan 04, Jan 02, and March 04. They display as 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 (fractions)in a much smaller font so that the misinformation fits on the same line. At this time, these seem to be the only dates affected. "1/8" "2/16" and other dates that do not appear as fractions with a "4" as the denominator work properly. I deal with it by putting a zero in front of either the month or the day. Examples: 01/4 or 1/04. Later, I do a search and replace from 01/4 to 1/4 and that corrects the error on those three dates. I am a new user of Libre Office and I am using it steadily. Thank you for all your excellent work. Peace and good health to all. Stay safe. You are irreplaceable to the people who care about you! 8) Rob Smith Garland, Tx, USA -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129038] Non-letter characters misaligned in bidi texts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129038 --- Comment #9 from Eyal Rozenberg --- travis82, what you are describing is not in itself a bug. Le me rephrase your reproduction instructions: 1. In an RTL paragraph, enter some RTL text. 2. Enter a directionality-neutral character. 3. Enter some LTR text. Why should the neutral character be part of the LTR run, rather than the RTL run? It _should_ be the case that the paragraph direction decides here. If I am not mistaken, what you are actually complaining about is how, when one changes the keyboard input language from an RTL to an LTR one, LO ignores the user's intent of inserting LTR text. I believe that is the difference between LO and MS Office your Ask.LO post describes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141328] New: A lighter tint for the folding-outline buttons would make them stand out less
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141328 Bug ID: 141328 Summary: A lighter tint for the folding-outline buttons would make them stand out less Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j.a.sw...@gmail.com Description: The folding-outline feature adds buttons (outline content visibility buttons) to indicate text at different levels. The backgrounds of the buttons might benefit from having a tint that's a bit lighter, so as to stand out less. (The writer most wants to focus on the words.) Perhaps the directional signs on the buttons themselves should also be lighter. (Hard to say without seeing the contrast.) This refers to the demo attached to comment 6 for bug 14089 (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140892#c6). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable outline content visibility. 2. See some text, with subheads. 3. Actual Results: As above. Expected Results: As above. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Refers to work on the bug mentioned above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141010] Changing anchor from 'to character' to 'to paragraph' changes image position
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141010 Telesto changed: What|Removed |Added CC||libreoff...@nisz.hu --- Comment #8 from Telesto --- @NISZ @Dieter (In reply to Dieter from comment #7) > So it's not a general problem but a specific one. Can you narrow down the > problem? The 'to character' of afbeelding3 position above afbeelding2. After anchor to "to paragraph" the 'to paragraph' snaps to paragraph below causing a shift I think the position is defined relative to anchor. And if the anchor goes to different spot, the image will go to. Kind of similar to the sync of image frame & image. But that's my vision; the people at NISZ are better capable to explain what's happening here. I personally dislike a anchor change affecting position. But the method used to define the anchor position is already big mystery box to me. Does different between objects (I think). Have plenty of bugs open for that in the image anchor meta topic (mostly in consternation of page loops) Surely needs someone with lots of expertise. As this touches to whole text image distribution across pages. Whereas page rendering is kind of critical. So surely lots of fun to solve :-). Currently only see László Németh or Michael Stahl being able to do this (and maybe Miklos, but haven't seen him do this type of changes in a while). Note: maybe under-estimating the capability's of other NISZ developers (so my 2 cents who might look at this some day, some year) However as this is apparently a regression (I don't recall), it might be caused by commit of Luboš Luňák (bibisected multiple to him which are "similar") -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
