[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142227] New: [EDITING] Image displayed in a wrong place when it is inside an outline-group and sheet is set to freeze-row-and-columns
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142227 Bug ID: 142227 Summary: [EDITING] Image displayed in a wrong place when it is inside an outline-group and sheet is set to freeze-row-and-columns Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pox_...@yahoo.com Description: Images pasted on the sheet are displayed far away from where it is actually anchored. This happens when the image is inside a folded outline, and the file is re-opened and then the outline is unfolded. Symptom most reproducible when the image is within the Freeze-Rows-And-Columns region. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open attached file FoldTestFd3.ods 2. On the left edge of the pane, click the "+" button in the outline-group indicator column "1", to unfold that outline-group. Actual Results: Only the edge of an image pasted onto the sheet is seen more than 30 lines above where it is supposed to be, almost invisible because most part of it is outside of the sheet. You can know where it is supposed to be by clicking the fragment of the image, which will show its anchor. FoldTestFc3a_ods_screenshot.png Reproducibility: 100% (5/5) Expected Results: The image should be displayed with it's top-left corner anchored to cell B3. FoldTestFc2a_ods_screenshot.png Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: (A) Happens with any image. (B) How to create FoldTestFd3.ods: 1. Download sample image file https://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/Timeline-pics/berlin-conference.jpg 2. In LibreCalc, File|New|Spreadsheet 3. Paste that image file onto cell B3. Drag-and-drop it from Windows Explorer. Or, Copy-paste from apps such as IrfanView also works. 4. Right-click on that image and Anchor|ToCell. 5. Select row 3..33. Menu|Data|GroupAndOutline|Group. This will create the outline-group. 6. Select cell B34. Menu|View|FreezeRowsAndColumns 7. Fold the outline-group by clicking the "-" button in the left edge. 8. Save that file. 9. You must close the file once and re-open it, to observe the symptom. You don't need to close LibreCalc app, though. (C) Once you unfold the outline group and save the file, and then re-open that file, it displays correctly. So the bug seems to be only in the display routine, not in the stored data. (D) Symptom sometimes observed even when the sheet is not set to freeze-row-and-columns, but this is harder to reproduce. p.s. Couldn't find "OpenGL" in settings menus. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

To be certain the reported issue is not > related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your > Libreoffice profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and > re-test? I suppose that I could, but the bug would stand regardless of any theoretical profile corruption: Hammering the server repeatedly just shouldn't happen. Also, isn't it far-fetched to assume that a profile which otherwise works fine for me, and in which I never specified a WebDAV server, suddenly gets a WebDAV server? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142222] New: Base crashes when trying to edit records
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14 Bug ID: 14 Summary: Base crashes when trying to edit records Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2 all versions Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: csc...@gmail.com I recently upgraded Ubuntu from 18.04 x64 to 20.04. Along with that upgrade came Libreoffice 6.4.7.2. Initially, none of my .odb files would function. I finally found a resolution by changing the string db:parameter-name-substitution="false"/>< to db:parameter-name-substitution="true" />< in content.xml of the ,odb file. After that change, I could load my files through LO Base. However, I now find that I can only accomplish a few actions before Base crashes. For example, I have a form with 3 subforms. I can do a search using the form to find a specific record. However, I am limited to no more than 3 actions (cursor movement, update a field, etc.) before Base crashes. Another example is if I search for a record in the form and try to change a field in a subform, Base crashes. A final example is if I only Open the data base, after moving through a few records by moving forward or backward, Base crashes. If I start Base in safe mode, I have the same problem. If I start Base from a terminal, I get no messages at all after the crash. In fact, I can let LO Base recover the data base, restart, let it crash, ad infinitum, and I receive no messages. I am connecting to a MySQL data base using the MySQL direct connector. I have four .odb files representing four data bases. Only one fails. I can provide that .odb file along with the exported tables from MySQL if you should so desire. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It's clearly inappropriate to export as a two digit year format. As a qualified software engineer it's astonishing to read your comments. It's vital this defect is fixed because it damages the quality of the dates when they are exported, so I am re-opening. Unfortunately Calc has many bugs, and none are fixed. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137651 Jean-Baptiste Faure changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||jbfa...@libreoffice.org --- Comment #3 from Jean-Baptiste Faure --- (In reply to Andrei from comment #0) > [...] > Expected Results: > 1. preview data consistent with data after import Solution given in comment #1. Note that the case of numbers with leading 0 like phone numbers is explicitly mentioned in the help. > 2. have an option to not convert data at all (eg: leave everything as text) I think that is not a so good idea because CSV are mainly used for numbers, not for text, and there is probably very few examples of CSV files without numbers. So, even you have 100 columns of text, it is enough you have 1 column of numbers, to make this option useless. Note that this option would be useless for a CSV file with the kind of data given in the bug description. So I close this bug report as worksforme. Please feel free to reopen if you disagree.
