[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103903] EMF import distorts proportion of image files (Landscape looks like Portrait)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103903 --- Comment #22 from Valek Filippov --- (In reply to Joerg from comment #19) > The image import should take over the aspect ratio of the original file and > should not assume, that the image file is broken. Nobody assumes that the file is broken. It has some "specifics" which unfortunately not 100% clearly documented in the MS spec AND handled differently by different implementations. > This might make sense when > somebody imports a MS Office document containing an EMF generated by MS > Office, but not in case of importing a standalone image which has no > relation to MS Office. There is no good way to differentiate an image generated by MS tools and imported as a standalone file and by other different third party tools, with each of them able of doing their own interpretation of the spec. In the current situation LibreOffice need to choose which interpretation of the spec to support. MSO sounds more reasonable than MS Paint. > it's generate by a Java based OpenDocument generator > which contains code similar to the attached example program. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142611] New: Style selector preview is invisible when creating a Writer document with Breeze Dark (KDE Plasma)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142611 Bug ID: 142611 Summary: Style selector preview is invisible when creating a Writer document with Breeze Dark (KDE Plasma) Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: robloka...@gmail.com Description: When creating a Writer document from LibreOffice or opening Writer directly, the style preview in the toolbar at the top has white text on a white background, so it's invisible. This only happens on Breeze Dark, not Breeze. I'm using KDE Plasma 5.21.5. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on the Breeze Dark theme in KDE Plasma's System Settings 2. Open the LibreOffice app and create a new Writer document (You can also open Writer directly) 3. Done. The style preview section at the top has white text on a white background, so it's invisible. Actual Results: The text is invisible. I can't see what style I'm going to click on. Expected Results: The text should be black. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.1.3.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 10(Build:2) CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.12; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I use openSUSE Tumbleweed and KDE Plasma 5.21.5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

These are native > files, not files imported from MS Office! @Joerg Do you remember by which application the EMF file was created? We implemented current import code, according to [MS-EMF] specification. Unfortunately MS Paint/Wordpad is displaying these images differently. The issue with image from this ticket is: Even if we provide the fix for this image, the other EMF images will start displaying incorrectly. That's why we currently don't see a solution to resolve this issue, without breaking import of other images. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The text has checkmarks in it, which is not an ordinary character (not on the keyboard). I could not reproduce the bug using same steps mentioned (by copying and pasting). Although Calc did hang when inserting the checkmark symbol from the MacOS Character Viewer, in fact it hangs when inserting any symbol or emoji. Steps to reproduce 1. Open new Calc document. 2. Open Character viewer. (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1560/mac) 3. Drag and drop any character or emoji. 4. Insert at least 10 symbols or emoji (the number is not specific). Calc hangs and the Character viewer also get disabled for any other applications. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142600] New: Link to External Data Source dialogue should list HTML tables in order
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142600 Bug ID: 142600 Summary: Link to External Data Source dialogue should list HTML tables in order Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stephane.guil...@member.fsf.org Description: When using Sheet > Link to External Data... and pointing to a website that has more than 9 tables, the order of tables in the dialogue is not the same as in the source. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Calc 2. Go to "Sheet > Link to External Data..." 3. Paste a URL in "URL of External Data Source", for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QS_World_University_Rankings 4. Press Enter on the keyboard 5. Use defaults in the "Import Options" dialog and click "OK". Actual Results: The tables are listed in the order: HTML_1 HTML_10 HTML_11 HTML_12 HTML_2 HTML_3 etc. Expected Results: The tables should be listed in the same order as in the HTML page's source code. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: This matters as you can pick several tables to import. If you pick a range or cherry-pick a number of them (using Ctrl + click), the user would expect to see them imported into the spreadsheet in the same order as in the original source. A cumbersome workaround would be to: - Import table 1 - Import the ones you want between 2 and 9 - Import the ones you want between 10 and 12 Alternatively, import HTML_tables and remove the ones you don't want to keep.
