[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89960] Clear direct formatting with ctrl+doubleclick at the Stylist
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89960 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added CC|libreoffice-ux-advise@lists |heiko.tietze@documentfounda |.freedesktop.org|tion.org Keywords|needsUXEval | Blocks|107326 |103427 Summary|Suggestion to Change Style |Clear direct formatting |Behavior in Relation to |with ctrl+doubleclick at |Direct Formatting |the Stylist --- Comment #21 from Heiko Tietze --- Let's do it. Ctrl+doubleclick a style on the Stylist should * in case of PS: + clear DFP and LS (not CS, DF, PgS, TS, FS) * in case of CS + DF It should be a double click since ctrl+click usually toggles a selection and while multiselection is not relevant here the goal is to have a modifier for the default command, which is double click (single click selects for modification). As a bonus we could add "Apply (double click)" and "Clear and Apply (ctrl+doubleclick)" (or the like) on the context menu to provide a clue about the functionality. Interesting easy hack? PS: paragraph style CS: character style LS: list style PgS: page style TS: table style FS: frame style DF: direct formatting (of character attributes) DFP: direct formatting of paragraph (attributes) Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103427 [Bug 103427] [META] Styles and Formatting sidebar deck and floating window https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107326 [Bug 107326] [META] Writer style bugs and enhancements -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Sorry, but I don't understand the problem. You say that only images anchored as character are treated as track changes and you say, that inserting an image or drag-n-drop it from file manager will anchor the image as character (I agree). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34231 --- Comment #14 from QA Administrators --- Dear Michael Noyce, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142974] EDITING: Hourly time series not calculated correctly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142974 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #5 from Mike Kaganski --- This is not a bug, but inevitable limitation of hardware calculations. Time in LibreOffice is internally represented as a fraction of a day; 1 hour is 1/12 = 0.041... (not representable precisely in machine floating-point format). When you create series like you did, you always introduce inaccuracies: 1. When filling the two initial values and dragging, you want Calc to count the difference between the two initial values, and use it as increment. You have two dates with times, having values 43105 and 43105,041667. Their difference is 0,04166656965, not 0.041, because only ~16 decimal digits fit into the machine number. Adding this value incrementally naturally starts to deviate very quickly. 2. When you use =A1+TIMEVALUE("01:00") formula, the additional inaccuracies result because of accumulating error from repeated summation. The most precise (but not perfect!) calculation could be using the formula =A$1+TIMEVALUE("01:00")*(ROW()-1), where all intermediate calculations do not affect result in following cells. The same result you would get, if you use Sheet->Fill Cells->Fill Series (and put 2018-01-05 00:00:00 to "Start value", and 01:00:00 to "Increment"). The only drawback of using Fill Series in this case is that it will need applying Datetime format manually after the operation. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89960] Suggestion to Change Style Behavior in Relation to Direct Formatting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89960 --- Comment #20 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #19) > Don't think ctrl+click (apply style and clear formatting) is easy to > understand. But surely it doesn't break existing workflows. I also wonder > what formatting should be cleared: > > in case of PS: DPS (acceptable) and CS and DF (-1)? > in case of CS: DF (acceptable) I agree that this is not a bad feature, seemingly not harming any workflow. I second the suggestion to only clear paragraph direct formatting when special-applying paragraph style, and clear character direct formatting when special-applying character style. By the way, there are more styles ;-) - so what to do with lists - do you want to clear that direct formatting when special-applying paragraph style, or keep it, and only clear when special-applying list style? Or clear it when special-applied paragraph style contains associated list style? > DPS: direct formatted paragraph style Please, there's no such thing. There is paragraph direct formatting, and character direct formatting. Or if you prefer, direct paragraph formatting, and direct character formatting ;-) This depends on the level at which some properties are defined. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108600] Inconsistent background color painting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108600 --- Comment #6 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #5) Personally I find this behavior inconsistent and hackish. We have spacing that is covered by paragraph's background (and which now can be used without borders). We have indents and spacing that isn't covered, and which has an option to be not added between same-style paragraphs. I can imagine a property of paragraph (style) similar to the new "BackgroundFullSize" (bug 122508 - thanks Michael!). It looks reasonable and in agreement with that extension - to be able to define if those areas around are covered by background or not. But this automatic extension ... I'm against it (but it exists, and no doubt there are documents using it - so if it hopefully is removed, there's still a compat setting for those old documents). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142727 Andreas Heinisch changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #5 from Andreas Heinisch --- So I checked for the exact reason of this bug. In Bug 130476, we changed the behaviour of the hex literals. So in &H00FF00 preceeding zeros are ignored and the resulting number is converted to an int, which leads to -256, which is obviously not a color. However, if you cast the literal to a long by adding & at the end (&H00FF00&), the value is preserved as long and the cell color gets the correct value. So imho not a bug.
