[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65453] : Installed 'variant' Font not recognised & used by LO Writer

2021-06-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65453

--- Comment #10 from QA Administrators  ---
Dear Jeremy,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

the Font name element on the Properties deck. However, it's true that
opening/collapsing entries in a tree list shouldn't take the focus.

(51754ca5349d7bf655d57ded37381188d0bc4bcf) / Ubuntu.

Interestingly if the target is a single cell, then the vertical alignment does
get copied.

I think not supported, in excel figures like a combo type that allows to select
a type for every series.

Perhaps should be a request for enhancement.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143091] New: more on bug 142565

2021-06-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143091

Bug ID: 143091
   Summary: more on bug 142565
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: david.gen...@du.edu

Subject: bug 142565

Hello,
I wanted to say version 7.1.4.2 has almost completely fixed [Windows Key] + V.
Copying several items in a row for searching and pasting work much better. A
thing that could still be improved is this. If I am working from a spreadsheet
that has several separate sheets (pages) and I copy an entry from one page to
paste in another, in a series of copied cells using the [Windows Key] + V, I
must select the cell I want to paste into, click on it after I selected it, in
order to avoid getting the message “the contents could not be pasted” and then
paste. When the paste is completed, the cell becomes one line longer because
the pasted material now contains a “return” and there is now a blinking cursor
on the next line. I must then delete the “return” in order for the cell to go
back to the correct size of only one line per cell. It would be good if the
material could be pasted without having to select a cell, then click to
activate the cell, then paste the material, then delete the extra cursor that
the paste action created. Thanks for all your great work. David

--- Comment #1 from Julien Nabet  ---
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, it fails to create a
BaseDocumenter repository because of the error
"Object variable not set" there:

Dim iTables As Integer, bReinit As Boolean, iMaster As Integer

InitRepository = False
If IsNull(Repository) Then GoTo Exit_Function

With Repository
'Identify if repo should be (re)initialized
bReinit = False
iTables = .TableDefs().Count
If iTables = 0 Then
bReinit = True
ElseIf iTables = 2 Then
'Do nothing if the database is not a repository !!
If .TableDefs(0).Name <> "DATABASES" Or
.TableDefs(1).Name <> "OBJECTS" Then Set Repository = Nothing
Else
Set Repository = Nothing
End If

'Check if a master database record exists
If Not bReinit Then
   iMaster = .DCount("ID", "DATABASES", "ID=0") <<< THERE

So can't test the crash.

Open the sample document in both Office 365 and LibreOffice and observe

 - how some charts show wrong bar widths,
 - lack line wraps for their labels (which I speculate are related),

On which LO version are you and which env?

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today or with LO 7.0.4 from
Debian testing I don't reproduce this.

Here is a quick example:
- create a table with 4 rows and 4 columns
- select all the cells then right click
- table Properties then select borders to add outer and inner border
=> ok (all the cells have outer and inner borders)
- select all cells from row 2 only
- table Properties then select borders to remove outer and inner border
=> ok, all cells from row 2 only have lost their borders

Do you reproduce this on a brand new doc?

If not, would it be possible you attach an example file (after having sanitized
it)? (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143087] New: Toolbar dims during file save - OK!

2021-06-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143087

Bug ID: 143087
   Summary: Toolbar dims during file save - OK!
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement

 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rsmilw...@frontier.com

Just a comment: the Standard toolbar will sometimes dim during a File Save.
This is okay with me! The green progress bar at the bottom is nice, but my
cursor and attention are at the top of the screen. Dimming the toolbar is a
strong reminder that the Save is in progress -- but that doesn't happen every
time! So, not sure if this is a bug or not.
Thanks so much for a great and ever-improving set of tools!

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141896

--- Comment #4 from Hossein  ---
Tested on Windows 10, and the same problem exists.

One need to set this variable to fix the problem:

SET
URE_BOOTSTRAP=vnd.sun.star.pathname:C:/Progra~1/LibreOffice/program/fundamental.ini

Otherwise, setsdkenv_windows.bat does not properly set this environment
variable. (I set the compiler via Microsoft scripts)

To reproduce, do these steps for LibreOffice x64 on Windows 10 with VS 2019 and
Cygwin64 installed:

> cd C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\sdk
> setsdkenv_windows.bat
 **
 *
 * SDK environment is prepared for Windows
 *
 * SDK = c:\progra~1\Libreoffice\sdk
 * Office = c:\progra~1\Libreoffice
 * Make = C:\cygwin64\bin
 * Zip = C:\cygwin64\bin
 * cat = C:\cygwin64\bin
 * sed = C:\cygwin64\bin
 * C++ Compiler =
 * C# and VB.NET compilers =
 * Java =
 * Special Output directory = c:\libreoffice7.1_sdk
 * Auto deployment = YES
 *
 **
> set|grep UNO
UNO_PATH=c:\progra~1\Libreoffice\program

> cd examples\cpp\DocumentLoader
> %comspec% /k "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual
> Studio\2019\Community\VC\Auxiliary\Build\vcvars64.bat"
> make
> c:\libreoffice7.1_sdk\WINexample.out\bin\DocumentLoader.exe
> -env:URE_MORE_TYPES="file:///C:/Progra~1/LibreOffice/program/types/offapi.rdb"
>  test.odt

Error: cannot establish a connection using
'uno:socket,host=localhost,port=2083;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager':
   loading component library  failed

> SET
> URE_BOOTSTRAP=vnd.sun.star.pathname:C:/Progra~1/LibreOffice/program/fundamental.ini

> c:\libreoffice7.1_sdk\WINexample.out\bin\DocumentLoader.exe
> -env:URE_MORE_TYPES="file:///C:/Progra~1/LibreOffice/program/types/offapi.rdb"
>  test.odt

So, by setting URE_BOOTSTRAP environment variable manually, everything will be
OK.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81484] Draw pdf import: bold font shown as "outline", if Chinese (CJK?) font is applied

2021-06-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81484

--- Comment #23 from Kevin Suo  ---
After some debugging in gdb, I find that the related code seems to be in:
sdext/source/pdfimport/tree/pdfiprocessor.cxx

where the line:
> aChangedFont.isOutline = ( (rGC.TextRenderMode == 1) || (rGC. TextRenderMode
> == 2) );
seems to be wrong.

I am not sure what TextRenderMode == 1 and TextRenderMode == 2 means, but:

when I set this line to:
> aChangedFont.isOutline = ( rGC.TextRenderMode == 2 );
then the imported font is shown as "outline" effect

and when I set this line to:
> aChangedFont.isOutline = ( rGC.TextRenderMode == 1 );
then the outline effect is gone, but the font is not shown as bold.

As a result, I guess:
rGC.TextRenderMode == 1 means the font weight should be outlined, and
rGC.TextRenderMode == 2 means the font render should be "bold".

So, if
aChangedFont.isOutline = ( rGC.TextRenderMode == 2 )
then because the font is bold thus it evaluates to true, thus the outline
effect is wrongly set.
The correct code is to use mode 2 as outline, while separately add lines to
test if it is bold and set font weight accordingly.

Could someone have a look? It is out of my ability to fix this.
