[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143178] New: DOCX Ruler Indentation by Icons for spacing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143178 Bug ID: 143178 Summary: DOCX Ruler Indentation by Icons for spacing Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: profileu...@gmx.com Created attachment 173334 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=173334=edit DOCX Ruler Indentation by Icons for spacing I have been using LibreOffice since it was called Open Office. I have been using version .1.4.2 for 2 days. I created a file using Writer's default template with pre-formatted text in DOCX format. Then I changed styles Title 5 and 4 in addition to "body text". I changed page margins to 0.40 cm (top, bottom, right and left). After changing with mouse, dragging marker on the horizontal ruler, only from page 4 onwards, the whole document was indented as if it was obliged to indent with 5 sublevels from the 1st item on the 1st page. In fact, it is indented from page 4 onwards.I just need to decrease the size of the indentation. From 1.25 cm to 1 cm. This forces me to re-count from the beginning of the document. What a bad idea! Conclusion: the file was recovered after sending report to Crash Reporter via ID: 52b34626-550f-4532-8654-1f9a0e4302bc P.S.1: While editing, there were 15 tabs open in Mozilla Firefox version 89.0.2, one of the tabs being an 80 page PDF file. Opened 2 days ago to date. P.S.2:Opened 2 days ago to date. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143173] New: Writer - Alphabetical Index - Grouped entries abbreviation not localised (in fr_FR)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143173 Bug ID: 143173 Summary: Writer - Alphabetical Index - Grouped entries abbreviation not localised (in fr_FR) Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gregoir...@yahoo.fr Description: With the French version of Writer (v7.1.4.2), I still get an old (and unwanted) abbreviation to qualify grouped entries in the index. Currently, in the FR version, an index entry appearing on consecutive pages displays the first page number in the range followed with the "sv" abbrev.: ENTRY ... 1 sv Also, the same "sv" abbrev. is used to cover the cases rendered in English with "p" (2 consecutive pages, i.e. "1-2") and "pp" (more than 2 consecutive pages, i.e. "1-5"). I had discussed the matter with the localisation team several months ago, and they had agreed to use the more formal and widely used abbreviations "sq." (EN: p) and "sqq." (EN: pp). Since then, the localisation team did their part and updated the translations which show up in the UI (Edit Index panel). Unfortunately, Writer doesn't behave according to the wording in the panel. See screenshot. This is a rather minor issue. I can update manually the "sv" string in the final index, but it is painful and I don't think it is a good idea to show discrepancies between the messages in the UI and the behaviour of the software. Could we implement the display of the abbreviations as per the specs for the French version? - 2 consecutive pages ==> "sq." - 3 or more consecutive pages ==> "sqq." Steps to Reproduce: With a fr_FR version of Writer: 1. Create a document with 3 pages 2. Create the same index entry on each page 3. Create an alphabetical index Actual Results: ENTRY ... 1 sv Expected Results: ENTRY ... 1 sqq. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143172] New: When printing to file, the default location is not the directory of the file itself
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143172 Bug ID: 143172 Summary: When printing to file, the default location is not the directory of the file itself Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Printing and PDF export Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stef...@michalek.de Description: When using "direct export to pdf", then the current directory offered in the filename dialog window is the directory of the document. When using "print to file" (e.g. for creating a pdf with 2-pages onto 1 paper), the current directory offered in the filename dialog window is the user home directory. So, putting the pdf into the same directory as the document itself needs some (many) steps choosing the right directory every time you create that pdf. The behaviour should be analog / similar. The present behaviour is unexpected. (More than once I ended in searching for the printed pdf or, more often, have to click alogn always the same path of directories. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Export as pdf (either with further options or "direct export") 2.Choose "print", "print to file" and button "print to file" (I use the german version, so I hope, the english terms are understandable). 3.Expect to reside in the same directory. Actual Results: The directory offered for printing/saving is the user's home directory. Expected Results: The directory offered for printing/saving should be the directory, where the document itself is located. The behaviour should be the same as for e.g."save as" or "direct export to pdf". [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141893] CALC DATA EDITING Advanced Filter No Duplicates -- strange effects v.difficult to Summarise
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141893 --- Comment #3 from Colin --- To enhance the report I have added another example file containing 2 sheets which I perceive is a more definitive example of the issue. The second sheet contained therein is just a duplicate for "control" data. To recreate the issue:- In Sheet 1 "Filter error" Marquee Select B2:B88 Activate B2 "filter" chevron Select "standard filter" Expunge "field name" - top selection to leave "none" Activate "options" Select "No-duplicates" AND ensure "Range contains column labels" is enabled select "OK" Observe the list now contains 23 deduplicated elements Select any cell to deactivate focused cells Activate "filter chevron" Sort Ascending Observe the entries no longer reflect the deduplicated list and contain duplicates - sorted ascending. "undoing" last actions to reverse everything re-establishes the original values If the "field name" is not expunged then the results are an empty array list which in itself seems quite an anomalous response -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65046] Threaded calculation of formula groups (multi-threading)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65046 --- Comment #26 from pharmankur --- I Agree with @fred...@free.fr on --> Note: Activating "Settings > Calc > Calculation > multi-thread" has no effect and enabling OpenCL is not persistent after LibreOffice required restart. --- Calc speed is not improved visibly since last 8 Yrs (since I started using it). Here I am not discrediting any contributions done under the hood which may be many! But net result for the user is not pleasing at all. In my system monitor (Linux Mint) I always get one core stuck at 100% even if so called multithreading is enabled ( I am on Libreoffice Version 7.1.4.2 ) For many of my Calculation intensive sheets and still prefer to copy-paste data on Google sheet, Get calculation data from there and paste the result back to Libreoffice calc. ... This takes pretty less time than applying same formulae in calc itself ! Other strategy I am following is :- > First disable "Autocalculate" from Data --> calculate --> Autocalculate > Do all data inputs in your sheets > Then once all data is in the place, do Data --> calculate --> Recalculate HARD OR press Shift+Ctrl+F9 > Now wait for considerable time ( from "Plant a coffee seed --- to ---> Have > coffee !" ) > Finally it gets over . -- So I will NOT say the basic issue is resolved and will not go with @Aron Budea to "Consider" it Done. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
